The Impact of Brand Image and Perceived Value on Consumers’ Purchasing Behavior of Clothing Lines

Growing businesses everywhere in the world have a far and wide objective of building up their brand image. This research will help in highlighting the defining factors of a brand in which marketers will know how to present their products to consumers which would influence their purchasing behavior. The quantitative research design was utilized together with survey questionnaires in the collection of required data of the respondents regarding the independent variables: brand image and consumer perceived value. The total sample size of 209 respondents was selected through a purposive sampling method, consisting of consumers that reside in Metro Manila with different backgrounds in terms of purchasing clothing lines of brands. The study has identified that brand image has a moderately significant effect on consumers’ purchasing behavior. The research has also shown that a consumer's perceived value has a significant but not strong effect on the consumer's purchasing behavior. In general, brand image and consumers’ perceived value only impact the purchasing behavior of consumers slightly. The consumers are not conscious in terms of the brand image of the clothes they buy as they also prefer cheap but good-quality clothing. This finding has important implications for companies in terms of deciding whether they need to majorly invest their resources in their brand image or not. Also, it aids them in planning in terms of fulfilling the customer's perceived value since it does not have a strong effect on their buying behavior.

Long-term morbidity, long-term cognitive impairment and hospitalization-associated disability are common occurrence in the survivors of critical illness, with significant consequences for patients and for the caregivers. The ABCDEF bundle represents an evidencebased guide for clinicians to approach the organizational changes needed for optimizing ICU patient recovery and outcomes. The ABCDEF bundle includes: Assess, Prevent, and Manage Pain, Both Spontaneous Awakening Trials (SAT) and Spontaneous Breathing Trials (SBT), Choice of analgesia and sedation, Delirium: Assess, Prevent, and Manage, Early mobility and Exercise, and Family engagement. The purpose of this review is to describe the core features of the ABCDEF bundle.
Co-operative Control of BESS and Wind Turbines for Heavy Motor Starting on Industrial Isolated Grids

Sustainable low emission offshore oil and gas platforms (OOGPs) are expected to comprise a lower number of gas turbine generators (GTGs) and offshore wind turbines integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS). This combination faces challenges with the traditional platform loads, i.e. heavy induction motors (IMs), that are started directly on-line. They draw high inrush currents resulting in voltage sags affecting other loads connected to the common bus. These sags could activate a Low-voltage ride-through control scheme on wind turbines (WTs) and dissipate the generated wind power into a dynamic brake resistor (DBR) while regulating the grid voltage. Improper control coordination of the GTGs, WTs, and BESS could either fail or delay the motor start-up, with a detrimental impact on the industrial process. Considering the above, this paper proposes a Cooperative Control (CoC) strategy of BESS, WTs, and GTGs for the efficient starting of heavy motors with reduced loss of generated wind power. The proposed control strategy is simulated utilizing MATLAB for a real industrial scenario, and the results are discussed.
Widespread Occurrence of a CYP51A Pseudogene in Calonectria pseudonaviculata

Calonectria pseudonaviculata and C. henricotiae are two closely related fungal species responsible for boxwood blight disease of ornamental shrubs (Buxus spp.) in the U.S. and Europe. A previous study has shown isolates of the latter species, which is restricted to Europe, to be less sensitive to tetraconazole, an azole fungicide. In this study, we have analyzed the CYP51 paralogs for polymorphism in 26 genomes, representing geographically disparate populations of C. pseudonaviculata (n=19) and C. henricotiae (n=7), from the U.S., Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. The presence of a CYP51A pseudogene and lack of a functional CYP51A paralog in all C. pseudonaviculata genomes examined is a novel discovery for fungi and could have implications for the evolution of resistance to antifungal chemicals.
