<P>We present a sound method for clustering alarms from static analyzers. Our method clusters alarms by discovering sound dependencies between them such that if the dominant alarms of a cluster turns out to be false, all the other alarms in the same cluster are guaranteed to be false. We have implemented our clustering algorithm on top of a realistic buffer-overflow analyzer and proved that our method reduces 45% of alarm reports. Our framework is applicable to any abstract interpretation-based static analysis and orthogonal to abstraction refinements and statistical ranking schemes.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Functionalized polymer filter (FPF) was fabricated using a synthesized terpolymer containing a quaternary ammonium moiety via electrospinning method to enhance the durability of air filters. Removal efficiency and durability of FPF were exhibited compared with those of polystyrene (PS) filter and a commercial electret filter. FPF showed the best performance than others, and the removal efficiencies were 89.5, 98.6, and 99.8% when the sodium chloride aerosol were sized in 100, 200, and 300 nm, respectively. In addition, FPF had almost no decrease in the removal efficiency after the treatment by isopropyl alcohol (IPA). On the other hand, the IPA-treated PS and electret filter showed the rapid decrease around 20–40% for the sodium chloride aerosol. The performance of FPF was also kept even after the water treatment. Furthermore, FPF also showed good antibacterial activity, a desirable characteristic for using the air filter without infections.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Functionalized polymer filter was fabricated for removal of ultrafine aerosol. </LI> <LI> Hydrophilicity and high dipole moment from the quaternary ammonium moiety were helpful to capture the MPPS. </LI> <LI> Durability of the filter was improved owing to the inherent characteristics of the functionalized terpolymer. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
Enhanced ultrafast optical nonlinearity of porous anodized aluminum oxide nanostructures

<P>Enhanced ultrafast optical nonlinearities of porous anodized aluminum oxide (AAO) nanostructures, well-known templates for quantum dots fabrication, have been investigated using the differential optical Kerr gate technique at 800 nm. The optical nonlinearity is strongly influenced by the pore number density, the pore size and the shape. Large values of the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility (chi((3))) of the order of 10(-10)esu are measured. The nonlinear response time is faster than or comparable to the laser pulse width (90 fs) used. The origin and variation of such remarkable optical nonlinearities has been discussed by considering the nanoporous AAO as an effective medium and utilizing the extended Maxwell Garnet theory, and by considering the additional influence from pore diameter, pore shape and surface states.</P>

This simulation study aims to differentiate between contrast media and calcification in blood vessel using the effective atomic number (EAN) extraction method in electromagnetic X-ray computed tomography (CT) imaging. Calibration was performed on six tissue-equivalent materials, three contrast medium, and one calcium solution. The Hounsfield unit (HU) values at 80 kV and 140 ㎸ with electromagnetic spectrum using dualenergy computed tomography (DECT) facilitated this calibration. EAN from the polynomial method was then compared with that from the Stoichiometric method. In 120 ㎸ vascular imaging, when the HU of calcium and iodine contrast media were alike, EAN provided a more pronounced contrast than HU. The iodine contrast agent’s enhancement in EAN was approximately 30.0 %, and in HU, it was 13.0 % relative to calcium. This indicates EAN’s potential to better differentiate contrast media from calcification in clinical contexts.
