<B>Abstract</B><P>Two new species, <I>Lecanora hafelliana</I> L. Lü, Y. Joshi & Hur and <I>L</I>. <I>loekoesii</I> Y. Joshi, L. Lü & Hur, are described as new to science from South Korea and eight species, <I>L. campestris</I> (Schaer.) Hue, <I>L. cenisia</I> Ach., <I>L. nipponica</I> H. Miyaw., <I>L. perplexa</I> Brodo, <I>L. plumosa</I> Müll. Arg., <I>L. polytropa</I> (Hoffm.) Rabenh., <I>L. subrugosa</I> Nyl. and <I>L. sulcata</I> (Hue) H. Miyaw., are recorded from South Korea for the first time. <I>Lecanora hafelliana</I> is characterized by the presence of hafellic acid, which is reported for the first time in this genus, while <I>L. loekoesii</I> is characterized by multispored asci and a thallus containing norstictic acid.</P>

<B>Abstract</B><P>A saxicolous <I>Graphis</I> discovered in the southern part of South Korea is described as new to science. The new species, <I>Graphis koreana</I> sp. nov., is characterized by a green to brownish green, thick, rimose thallus, completely carbonized proper exciple, trans-septate to submuriform ascospores and the presence of norstictic acid.</P>
Onset of a Large Ejective Solar Eruption from a Typical Coronal-jet-base Field Configuration

<P>Utilizing multiwavelength observations and magnetic field data from the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO)/Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA), SDO/Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI), the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES), and RHESSI, we investigate a large-scale ejective solar eruption of 2014 December 18 from active region NOAA 12241. This event produced a distinctive 'three-ribbon' flare, having two parallel ribbons corresponding to the ribbons of a standard two-ribbon flare, and a larger-scale third quasi-circular ribbon offset from the other two. There are two components to this eruptive event. First, a flux rope forms above a strong-field polarity inversion line and erupts and grows as the parallel ribbons turn on, grow, and spread apart from that polarity inversion line; this evolution is consistent with the mechanism of tether-cutting reconnection for eruptions. Second, the eruption of the arcade that has the erupting flux rope in its core undergoes magnetic reconnection at the null point of a fan dome that envelops the erupting arcade, resulting in formation of the quasi-circular ribbon; this is consistent with the breakout reconnection mechanism for eruptions. We find that the parallel ribbons begin well before (similar to 12 minutes) the onset of the circular ribbon, indicating that tether-cutting reconnection (or a non-ideal MHD instability) initiated this event, rather than breakout reconnection. The overall setup for this large-scale eruption (diameter of the circular ribbon similar to 10(5) km) is analogous to that of coronal jets (base size similar to 10(4) km), many of which, according to recent findings, result from eruptions of small-scale 'minifilaments.' Thus these findings confirm that eruptions of sheared-core magnetic arcades seated in fan-spine null-point magnetic topology happen on a wide range of size scales on the Sun.</P>

<P>Engrailed 1 and engrailed 2 homeoprotein transcription factors (collectively Engrailed) display graded expression in the chick optic tectum where they participate in retino-tectal patterning. In vitro, extracellular Engrailed guides retinal ganglion cell (RGC) axons and synergises with ephrin A5 to provoke the collapse of temporal growth cones. In vivo disruption of endogenous extracellular Engrailed leads to misrouting of RGC axons. Here we characterise the signalling pathway of extracellular Engrailed. Our results show that Engrailed/ephrin A5 synergy in growth cone collapse involves adenosine A1 receptor activation after Engrailed-dependent ATP synthesis, followed by ATP secretion and hydrolysis to adenosine. This is, to our knowledge, the first evidence for a role of the adenosine A1 receptor in axon guidance. Based on these results, together with higher expression of the adenosine A1 receptor in temporal than nasal growth cones, we propose a computational model that illustrates how the interaction between Engrailed, ephrin A5 and adenosine could increase the precision of the retinal projection map.</P>

A survey was conducted from July 2000 to December 2001 to generate information on leafminer flies belonging to the family Agromyzidae, their host plants, and indigenous parasitoids in selected municipalities of the Cordillera, Philippines. Leaf samples of vegetable crops, ornamental plants, and weeds infested with leafminer flies were collected from the fields and reared in the laboratory for emergence of leafminer flies and parasitoids. We identified 26 vegetable crops and 19 ornamental plants and weeds that were infested by leafminer flies. Five leafminer flies species were identified. Four species belonged to genus Liriomyza and one species belonged to genus Chrotomyia. Their taxonomic identification were Liriomyza huidobrensis (Blanchard), Liriomyza trifolli (Burgess), Liriomyza satibae Blanchard, Liriomyza chinensis (Kato), and Chrotomyia horticola. The indigenous parasitoids identified were Asecodes delucchii (Boucek), Diglyphus isaea (Walker), Hemiptarsenus varicornis (Girault), Neochrysocharis formosa (Westwood), Neochrysocharis okazakii Kamijo, Pnigalio katonis (Ishii), Quadrastichus liriomyzae Hansson & LaSalle, Opius sp., and Zagrammosoma sp.

Ni-MgO-Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> catalysts have been designed by a co-precipitation method for direct internal reforming in a molten carbonate fuel cell. MgO content has been systematically changed to develop a highly active and KOH resistant catalyst. The developed catalyst (MgO=10wt%) exhibits the strongest stability against KOH as well as very high activity.
Magnetodielectric Properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 and Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 Thin Film Heterostructures

The paper discuses synthesis and magnetodielectric properties of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO), Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 (BST),and BST/LSMO thin film heterostructures. The XRD spectra are determined for confirmation of the crystal structure of LSMO, BST and formation of a pure bi-phase composite. The paper presents variation of Cp and tanδ as a function of frequency between 100 Hz to 1 MHz and applied magnetic field up to 0.6 T. The observed variation of Cp, tanδ, magnetocapacitance and impedance spectra are analyzed in terms of a possible equivalent circuit model. The present analysis shows that the method of impedance spectra could be used to separate out the possible contributions.
