      • 심리과학연구소 92년도 결산보고 (93년 3월 제1차 운영위원회 보고의 일부임)

        Heinz-Ulrich Kohr 서울대학교 심리과학연구소 1993 心理科學 Vol.2 No.1

        I) Tradition and innovation are important in each society. They are closely to valeus beingsbared in a society and its surgroups. Modes of coping with problems strongly depend on the adeqacy of the balance of tradition and innovation. 2) Values are acquired in the process of socialization. If the conditions of socialzation differ largely, the assumption is plausible that different values/value systems will emerge during the indoviduals socialization. As to the German case, two basically different social and political system exited, and thus plausibly two different systems of socialization. Therefore the emergence of differing value systems can be hypothesized. 3) Empirical research, however, demonstrated that the young generation in east and west to a large extent accepts the same values(See E. G. The large scale shell youth survey 1992). 4) As a model to describe and better understand the impact of change, the concept of socio-political paradigms(See Table 1), which describe the means and ways the individuals interprete and construct their social reality, appears to be more adequate. It conceptualizes the chance of values within the framework of a change of the paradigms. This means that value change is seen as an epiphenomenon of societal change(See Table 2). 5) A psychological core element of the paradigms is socio-moral reasoning(cf. L. Kohlberg). This is activated when value conflicts arise. The conflict resolution when indeviduals tend to use depends on their level of socio-moral reasoning (See Table 3). 6) In the process of the German unification many conflicts arise which are of socio-political nature. The way in which individuals tend to deal with these conflicts (IE, coping, defending, or even fragmentation) is related to the stage/level of the capacity of the individuals socio-moral judgment. Since the conventional level is most frequent and the situational pressures are high, conventional modes of defending are likely to appear (IE, Denial, regression, construction of enemy images). 7) In summary, a change towards the direction of the traditional paradigm (and the values being associated to it) is likely to prevail in Germany for a substantial period of time. While the new paradigm will still be present and effective (particularly amongst the young, well educated, and economically well situated) the trend towards its establishment, which was characteristic of the recent two decades before the unification, is likely to be reversed. As a consequence, socio-political innovation will less frequently(if at all) be on the agenda of primary political parties and social forces (churches, labour unions etc.) in Germany. Pre-conventional socio-moral behavior in its most horrible form(See the recent murders of turkish citizens in Soligen), represents the most extreme form of fragmentation. The repetition of acts of this kind cannot be excluded.

Growth, distortion and coefficient bounds for Caratheodory families in Cn and complex Banach spaces

        Graham, I.,Hamada, H.,Honda, T.,Kohr, G.,Shon, K.H. Academic Press 2014 Journal of mathematical analysis and applications Vol.416 No.1

Let X be a complex Banach space with the unit ball B. The family M is a natural generalization to complex Banach spaces of the well-known Caratheodory family of functions with positive real part on the unit disc. We consider subfamilies Mg of M depending on a univalent function g. We obtain growth theorems and coefficient bounds for holomorphic mappings in Mg, including some sharp improvements of existing results. When g is convex, we study the family Rg consisting of holomorphic mappings f:B→X which have the property that the mapping Df(z)(z) belongs to Mg. Further, we consider radius problems related to the family Rg, when X is a complex Hilbert space. In particular, if X is the Euclidean space Cn, we obtain some quasiconformal extension results for mappings in Rg. We also obtain some sufficient conditions for univalence and starlikeness in complex Banach spaces.

Assessing the Necessity of Extra Reduction Aides in Intramedullary Nailing of Intertrochanteric Hip Fractures

        John W. Yurek,Nikki A. Doerr,Alex Tang,Adam S. Kohring,Frank A. Liporace,Richard S. Yoon 대한고관절학회 2023 Hip and Pelvis Vol.35 No.3

Purpose: This study aims to determine which intertrochanteric (IT) hip fracture and patient characteristics predict the necessity for adjunct reduction aides prior to prep and drape aiming for a more efficient surgery. Materials and Methods: Institutional fracture registries from two academic medical centers from 2017-2022 were analyzed. Data on patient demographics, comorbidities, fracture patterns identified on radiographs including displacement of the lesser trochanter (LT), thin lateral wall (LW), reverse obliquity (RO), subtrochanteric extension (STE), and number of fracture parts were collected, and the need for additional aides following traction on fracture table were collected. Fractures were classified using the AO/OTA classification. Regression analyses identified significant risk factors for needing extra reduction aides. Results: Of the 166 patients included, the average age was 80.84±12.7 years and BMI was 24.37±5.3 kg/m2. Univariate regression revealed increased irreducibility risk associated with RO (odds ratio [OR] 27.917, P≤0.001), LW (OR 24.882, P<0.001), and STE (OR 5.255, P=0.005). Multivariate analysis significantly correlated RO (OR 120.74, P<0.001) and thin LW (OR 131.14, P<0.001) with increased risk. However, STE (P=0.36) and LT displacement (P=0.77) weren’t significant. Fracture types 2.2, 3.2, and 3.3 displayed elevated risk (P<0.001), while no other factors increased risk. Conclusion: Elderly patients with IT fractures with RO and/or thin LW are at higher risk of irreducibility, necessitating adjunct reduction aides. Other parameters showed no significant association, suggesting most fracture patterns can be achieved with traction manipulation alone.
