        경청의 도덕교육적 해석 : 레비나스의 논의를 중심으로

        본 연구는 상호 호혜성을 넘어서는 윤리의 의미를 제시하는 레비나스의 논의를 통해, 도덕수업에서 타자의 말을 듣는 것이 어떤 의미를 가지는가를 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 무한으로서의 타자의 초월성이 ‘가까움(la proximité)’에서 드러난다는 점을 밝히고 실제 대화 속에서 타자의 말함을 향해 온 몸을 기울이는 경청을 말함과 들음의 윤리로 해석하고자 한다. 이러한 고찰을 통해서 도덕수업에서의 들음이 어떤 윤리적 의미를 가지는가를 살피고, 서로의 말함에 귀를 기울이는 몸짓의 중요성을 강조하고자 한다. This paper develops a discussion on the concept of listening in moral education. The importance of listening should be conceptualized as 'realizing ontological openness' for Other. For this analysis, this paper tries to examine the transcendence of Other and the relation between listening to Other and the proximity(la proximité) to Other. With respect to this, we introduce Levinas’s approach to reveal the value of giving ear. On the basis of this approach, we can examine the ethical meaning of listening, and suggest a new interpretation to emphasize the implication of speaking and listening in moral education.

        유방암환자의 회복탄력성 및 관련요인

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine factors influencing resilience in breast cancer patients. Methods: The data were collected using structured questionnaires from 106 breast cancer patients who are members of a self-help group. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression in SPSS WIN version 21.0. Results: Resilience was significantly negatively correlated to depression and positively correlated to hope and family support. However, resilience was not significantly correlated to anxiety. In the regression analysis, factors influencing resilience were reported as hope, religion, lymph node metastasis, surgery side, and time since surgery, which explained 34.1% of the variation. Conclusion: The resilience scores of women with breast cancer were higher when depression was lower, hope was higher, and greater family support. This means that reducing depression and increasing hope and family support are necessary when developing and implementing nursing interventions. The results of this study also show the importance of hope in explaining resilience in patients with breast cancer. Therefore, nurses should focus on encouraging hope when they develop programs in order to implement more effective interventions to improve breast cancer patients’ resilience.

        2020 한국인 에너지필요추정량 설정 및 앞으로의 과제

        일반적으로 에너지 필요량은 에너지 평형 상태에서의 에너지소비량으로 정의된다. 이중표식수법 (doubly labeled water, DLW)은 총에너지소비량 (total energy expenditure, TEE)을 측정하는 가장 정확한 방법으로 알려져 있다. 2002년, 미국 Institute of Medicine (IOM)은 미국인과 캐나다인을 위한 영양소 섭취기준 (dietary reference intakes, DRIs)을 제안하고, 이중표식수법 (DLW)을 이용한 연구결과들을 모아서 에너지필요추정량 (estimated energy requirement, EER) 산출식을 개발하였다. 2005년부터 한국인 영양소 섭취기준에서도 이 산출식을 이용하여 에너지필요추정량을 설정해왔다. 연령대를 기준으로 한 이 산출식에서는 체중과 신장뿐만 아니라 신체활동수준 (physical activity level, PAL)에 따른 (sedentary, low active, active, and very active) 신체활동계수 (physical activity, PA)가 적용되었다. 이중표식수법과 신체활동일기를 이용하여 산출한 한국인의 신체활동수준은 ‘저활동적’ (1.40–1.59)에 해당되었으므로, ‘저활동적’에 해당하는 신체활동단계별 계수 (PA)가 에너지필요추정량 (EER) 산출식에 적용되었다. 최근 한국에서도 규칙적으로 다양한 신체활동을 하는 사람들이 증가하고 있어 "활동적 (active)"인 사람들과 "매우 활동적 (very active)"인 사람들을 위한 에너지필요추정량을 별도로 제시하였다. 앞으로 미국과 일본처럼, 한국에서도 이중표식수법 (DLW) 연구를 확대하여 한국인을 위한 에너지필요추정량 산출식이 개발되어야 한다. 또한 신체활동 일기와 새로운 (한국인을 위한) 신체활동 분류표를 이용하여 신체활동수준 (PAL)을 정확하게 평가할 수 있는 표준화된 가이드라인을 마련해야한다. Energy requirement is defined as energy expenditure in an energy equilibrium state. The doubly labeled water (DLW) method is considered the gold standard for measuring total energy expenditure (TEE). In 2002, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academies established dietary reference intakes (DRIs) for Americans and Canadians, and the equations for estimated energy requirement (EER) were developed by using pooled data from studies that had applied the DLW method. Since 2005, these equations have been used for establishing EER in the DRI for Koreans. These equations based on age group include the physical activity (PA) coefficient determined by the PA level (PAL; sedentary, low active, active and very active) as well as body weight and height. The PAL values of Koreans calculated using the DLW method and PA diaries were determined to fall in the low active category (1.40~1.59). Therefore, the PA coefficient corresponding to ‘low active’ was applied to the EER equations. In recent years, with increasing number of people regularly engaging in various physical activities in Korea, EER is now separately presented for people with ‘active’ and ‘very active’ PALs. In the future, like the United States and Japan, Korea needs to expand the DLW research for developing EER predictive equations for Koreans. In addition, standardized guidelines should be prepared to accurately evaluate the PAL using the physical activity diary and the new PA classification table for Koreans.

        Integration of Adeno-Associated Virus-Derived Peptides into Nonviral Vectors to Synergistically Enhance Cellular Transfection

        <P>This study describes a simple, versatile approach for developing a nonviral gene carrier by adopting the highly efficient gene delivery properties of the adeno-associated virus (AAV). Specific viral peptides (r3.45_hepBD) extracted from AAV r3.45, which directly evolved to improve gene delivery capabilities in many cell types, were conjugated onto branched polyethylenimine (PEI) to form hybrid gene carriers. AAV r3.45 carries a sequence insertion (LATQVGQKTA; r3.45) within the heparin-binding domain (LQRGNRQA; hepBD), which ultimately comprises a novel sequence (LQRGNLATQVGQKTARQA; r3.45_hepBD) on the capsid. This sequence is hypothesized to be a crucial cue to enhance gene delivery efficiency. Consequently, the intimate interactions of the conjugated r3.45_hepBD with the glycosaminoglycans, including chondroitin sulfate, resulted in significantly enhanced cellular transfection of DNA/PEI-r3.45_hepBD complexes.         How Does Yoga Breathing Affect Prefrontal QEEG Quotients?

        The underlying changes in biological processes that are associated with reported changes in mental and physical health in response to yoga breathing (pranayama) have not been systematically explored yet. In this study, theeffects of a yoga breathing program on prefrontal EEG were tested with middle-aged women. Participants were collected as volunteers and controlled into two groups. Two channel EEG was recorded in the prefrontal region (Fp1, Fp2) from the yoga breathing group (n=17) and control group (n=17). QEEG quotients were transformed from the EEGs and analyzed by the ANOVAs on gain scores. As a result, α/δ (left, right) and CQ (correlation quotient) for yoga breathing participants were significantly decreased compared to control group (p<.05). α/βH + α/δ (left, right) were increased significantly (p<.05). For those significantly changed QEEG quotients, the interaction effects of Group x prefrontal alpha (α) and beta (β) asymmetry were tested. Only the α asymmetry showed main effect on the gain score of α/βH + α/δ (right) with F (1, 34)=5.694 (p<.05). Pearson`s correlation coefficient between α asymmetry and gain score of α/βH + α/δ (right) was .374 (p<.05). The gain score of α/βH + α/δ (right) was increased for the right α dominance of yoga breathing group. On the contrary it was decreased for the left α dominance of yoga breathing group as well as the control regardless of the dominance. The result of this study implies that yoga breathing increases stress resistance and is effective in the management of physical stress. Emotionally relaxed people may have greater instantaneous stress reduction after yoga breathing. Moreover, yoga breathing could be also beneficial for depressed who may be more vulnerable to stress.

        Quantitative analysis of propofol-glucuronide in hair as a marker for propofol abuse.

        <P>The inappropriate or illegal use of propofol has recently come to the fore as a serious social issue in South Korea. Thus, in spite of its superior potency as a therapeutic drug, propofol was classified as a controlled drug under the purview of Narcotics Control Law in South Korea in February of 2011. Accordingly, the determination of propofol and/or its metabolites in biological specimens is required to prove ingestion. Therefore, to demonstrate chronic ingestion, a quantitative analytical method for propofol-glucuronide in hair was developed and validated using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). This method was applied to measure propofol-glucuronide in hair samples from 23 propofol abuse suspects and in both pigmented and nonpigmented hair from rats which had ingested propofol. Propofol-glucuronide in hair was extracted in methanol and then filtered and analyzed by LC-MS/MS with electrospray ionization in negative mode. The validation results of selectivity, matrix effect, recovery, linearity, precision and accuracy, and processed sample stability were satisfactory. The limit of detection was 20?pg/10?mg hair and the limit of quantification was 50?pg/10?mg hair. The concentration range of propofol-glucuronide in hair segments from 23 propofol abuse suspects was shown up to 1,410?pg/mg. The animal study demonstrated that the presence of melanin did not affect the deposition of propofol-glucuronide in hair. Thus, we propose propofol-glucuronide in hair as a marker for propofol abuse. This method will be very useful for monitoring the inappropriate use of propofol for both legal and public health aspects.</P>
