경기도 양평지역 굴참나무와 졸참나무 고사목의 부후균에 대한 기초 연구

굴참나무와 졸참나무의 고사목을 대상으로 부후균이 수종, 직경, 부후 등급별로 분포 및 생장률에 차이가 있는지 파악하고자 수행된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1.굴참나무와 졸참나무의 고사목 내에는 다양한 균들이 서식하고 있었으며, MEA 배지상에서 집락의 색과 형태학적 특징 및 균사의 현미경적 특징에 따라, 부후균을 13개의 부류로 나눌 수 있었다. 그리고 이들 13개 부류는 수종, 직경, 부후 등급별로 상이한 분포를 나타내었다. 2.13개 부류의 목재 기생균류중 담자균류의 전형적 특징인 clamp connection이 관찰되는 6개 부류를 대상으로 백색부후균과 갈색부후균으로 구분한 결과, 갈색부후균은 백색부후균에 비해 수종별 차이가 크지않았다. 반면 백색부후균은 갈색부후균과는 달리 고사목 직결별로 분포의 차이가 있었으며, 백색부후균과 갈색부후균의 분포는 부후 등급별로 상이하였다. 3.목재 부후균류로 분류된 6개 부류의 생장률과 백색부후균의 경우 Bavendamm test시 형성되는 갈색 착색대의 직경이 부류에 따라 상이하여 이들 부류가 각기 다른 종임을 알 수 있었다. 4.이상과 같이 목재 부후균의 종류와 분포는 고사목의 직경, 수종, 부후 등급에 따라 상이하였으나, 이외에도 배양상의 온도 및 습도와 같은 환경 조건에 따라 차이를 나타낼 것으로 예상되는 바, 이에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

There have been a lot of efforts to keep permissible emission standards and to reduce the amount of emitted air pollutants. There are several air pollution control equipments, however, wet scrubber is used to remove particulate matters and gaseous pollutants simultaneously, even if it has low collection efficiency in the particle size less than $5.0{\mu}m$. To overcome this problem, we introduced a spray tower scrubber with an electrospray system which a high voltage was indirectly applied. We found that collection efficiency of fine particles in the electrospray system was improved by increasing electrical field strength and the ratio of liquid-gas flow rate (from 41% to 84% for $0.3{\mu}m$ particles). In addition, a number of small droplets generated from an electrospray system led high collection efficiency, resulting from electrostatic attraction between droplets and particles and higher collision frequency. Therefore, we can conclude that the introduction of an electrospray system is quite effective to increase the particle removal efficiency of a spray tower scrubber.
Sap-staining fungi from logs and boards of two commercially important pines in Korea

<B>Abstract</B><P>To collect more information about the organisms causing sap-stain, a thorough survey was conducted in Koreas sawmills that process logs and boards of Japanese red pine and Korean pine. Sap-staining fungi were isolated and identified using morphological and molecular methods. The 482 isolates obtained were distributed into at least nine species of ophiostomatoid fungi. In both pine species, the frequency of ophiostomatoid isolates was much higher in boards than in logs. Three species<I>, Ophiostoma koreanum</I>,<I>O. floccosum</I>, and<I>O. piliferum</I>, were found on both logs and boards. Two<I>Pesotum</I>species from Japanese red pine were isolated only from logs. Our results show that the dominant species in both logs and boards was<I>O. koreanum</I>from Korean pine. However,<I>O. koreanum</I>,<I>O. floccosum</I>, and<I>O. ips</I>were the most frequently found species in this study.</P>
