The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of the aerobic exercise duration on cardiorespiratory function and blood lipids. Total 14 divided into two groups 7, for the control group and the other for the experimental group 7. The subjects of experimental group had 8 weeks aerobic program in the given intensity, during which the changes in cardorespiratory function to body fat and blood lipids were measured three times, at each end of 8th, 8th week. The research is concluded as follows. 1. After 8 Weeks, aerobic exercise brought the decrease of maximum HR with statistically significant(p<.05). 2. After 8 Weeks, aerobic exercise brought the increase of VE with statistically significant(p<.05). 3. After 8 weeks, aerobic exercise reduced TG, LDL-C and T-C with statistically significant(p<.05). In conclusion, aerobic exercise helps overweight women to reduce their weights and the amount of fat and to get rid of elements that cause various geriatric diseases. Therefore, overweight women as well as common adults are advised to take aerobic exercises.

Health indicator system and measurement of health status are an important fields in national health fields. In order to promote the national health level and measure health status, the national heath authority must rebuild the present health data and indicator production system. This study reviewed the overall concepts of health and health indicator, health indicator system. The scope of this study ; - Review of the conceptual health framework, health indicators, and health indicator system - Comparative analysis on the present health indicator system of developed countres and international organizations. This study suggested the new health indicator system corresponding the health state situation and national health components. The results of this study are appiled to the conceptual framework establishment of national health components, the development of national health policy a health status measurement tools. And the national health authority will apply the results of this study to the promotion of health indicator system and the demand of international organizations. Finally, although this study suggest the desirable health indicator system will be reduced in the functions and characteristics of health indicator and health indicator system.

We present simple, low-cost methods for the fabrication of polymeric waveguides that have large core sizes for use as optical interconnects. We have used both hot embossing and micro-contact printing techniques for the fabrication of multimode waveguides using the same materials. Rectangular and large-core (60${\times}$60 $\mu\textrm{m}$$^2$) channels were readily prepared when using these methods. The dimensions of the embossed and printed channels were the same as those of the pattern on the original master. The polymeric waveguides that we fabricated with large core sizes exhibited a low propagation loss of 0.1 dB/cm at 850 nm, which indicates that hot embossing and micro-contact printing are suitable techniques for the fabrication of optical waveguides having large-core.

We have fabricated a polymeric waveguide by using a hot embossing technique and have investigated its propagation loss. The replication of waveguide channels through the use of a hot embossing technique is of interest as a single-step process that could deliver surface roughnesses far smaller than the wavelength. We have evaluated experimentally that the sidewall roughness has a dominant effect on insertion losses of the multimode polymeric waveguide. The propagation loss of the waveguide decreased dramatically upon decreasing the sidewall roughness of the channel. We have confirmed that the preparation of waveguides having nanometer-scale sidewall roughness and 0.1 dB/cm propagation loss is possible when using the hot embossing technique.

A new type of cross-linked methylaluminoxane (MAO)-supported cocatalyst has been prepared by the reaction of a soluble MAO and a cross-liking agent such as an aromatic diamine compound. The cross-linked MAO-supported cocatalyst was used for the polymerization of ethylene in the presence of bis(n-butylcyclopentadienyl) zirconium dichloride, (n-BuCp)$_2$ZrCl$_2$. The catalyst activity of (n-BuCp)$_2$ZrCl$_2$ cocatalyzed with the new supported cocatalyst was higher than that of the commercial silica-supported MAO (SMAO) cocatalyst. The molecular weight and the bulk density of the polyethylene produced by using the new supported cocatalyst were slightly higher than those of polyethylene synthesized using commercial SMAO. The resulting polyethylene particles possess spherical morphologies with very few fine particles.
Low-Loss Multimode Waveguides Using Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials

Multimode channel waveguides were fabricated using a direct UV patterning technology from thick films deposited by the one-step dip-coating of an organic/inorganic hybrid material (ORMOCER(equation omitted). The core size of the covered ridge waveguide was 43${\times}$51 $\mu\textrm{m}$$^2$; the waveguides can be readily prepared for multimode applications by direct UV patterning. The waveguides exhibited smooth surface profiles and a low optical loss of 0.07 ㏈/cm at the most important wavelength (850nm) used for optical interconnects.
Synthesis and Optical Properties of Cycloolefin Copolymers for Plastic Substrates

<P>Cycloolefin copolymers comprise a new class of polymer materials showing properties, of high glass transition temperature, optical clarity, low shrinkage, low moisture absorption and low birefringence. There are several types of cyclic olefin copolymers based on different type of cyclic monomers and polymerization methods. In ethylene/norbornene (E/NB) copolymerization, <I>i</I>Pr(Cp)(Flu)ZrCl<SUB>2</SUB> catalyst exhibited more activity than Cp<SUB>2</SUB>ZrCl<SUB>2</SUB> and <I>rac</I>-Et(Ind)<SUB>2</SUB>ZrCl<SUB>2</SUB> catalysts. By the incorporation of Norbornene in copolymer, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of copolymer became higher. The Tg of copolymer increased up to 190°C. The transmission of copolymers was above 90% over 300 ∼ 900 nm. The RI of ethylene/tetracyclododecene (E/TCD) copolymer was higher than that of E/NB copolymer. The RI of E/NB copolymer could not changed increasing NB contents, however, the RI of E/TCD copolymer increased with increasing of TCD contents. The E/NB copolymer has very low birefringence and that film has very smooth surface.</P>
