        Nostalgia Advertising and Consumer Purchase Intention: An Empirical Study from Pakistan

        Nostalgia advertising is one of the key and effective tools for marketers to capture the attention of consumers. Prior studies have identified two types of nostalgia, personal and historical. The aim of this research is to learn more about historical nostalgia and its influence on consumer brand purchase intentions. A convenience sampling technique was used to obtain a sample of 182 respondents via Google forms. The study then used partial least square structural equation modeling. In PLS-SEM, we applied a measurement model to obtain the results related to reliability, validity, and model fitness. Once the desired results are achieved, the study proceeded to the structural model where results related to hypotheses were obtained. The study’s findings corroborated the literature, revealing that historical nostalgia advertisements have a significant impact on consumers’ cognition and emotions, leading to an effect on attitudes. The serial process has the effect of influencing consumer buying intentions. Hence, the importance of nostalgia advertising proposed in the study was established through empirical evidence. Policymakers, organizations, and advertising agencies in Pakistan are recommended to implement nostalgia advertising techniques based on the findings and are encouraged to do so for immediate benefits.

        Performance investigation of Sb2Se3 based solar cell by device optimization, band offset engineering and Hole Transport Layer in SCAPS-1D

        A novel structure is proposed in this work for the efficiency enhancement of experimentally designed Sb2Se3 solar cell by device optimization, the band offset engineering, and Hole Transport Layer (HTL) with the aid of numerical modeling in SCAPS-1D simulator. J− V result of an experimental device was replicated in SCAPS-1D to validate simulated results. After validation of experimental solar cell result, device optimization of Sb2Se3/ZnO/FTO solar cell was performed and after device optimization, power conversion efficiency (PCE) of solar cell jumps from 3.59% to 11.29%. The PCE was further enhanced to value 14.46% by adjusting the band offset between Sb2Se3/ZnO interface. This task was accomplished by introducing Sn doped ZnO layer. Lastly, different HTL layers was applied to Sb2Se3/Zn(Sn, O)/FTO solar cell and among themCZTSe as HTL gave highest values of Fill Factor (FF), PCE, open circuit voltage (VOC) and short circuit current (JSC), 81.18% and 18.50%, 0.66 V and 34.66 mA/cm2.

        Multifunctional Formaldehyde Free Finishing of Cotton by Using Metal Oxide Nanoparticles and Ecofriendly Cross-Linkers

        Importance of multifunctional finishing of textiles is increasing day by day due to greater consumer demand. Cross-linker is one of the commonly used finishes agent to impart functionality in textiles. In this research work theperformance of the formaldehyde free carboxylic acid based eco-friendly cross-linkers; citric acid (CA) and maleic acid(MA) was enhanced by incorporating three different types of metal oxides nanoparticle (ZnO, MgO and CaO). Two differentfixation methods of pad-dry-cure with and without UV irradiation were used. ZnO along with CA and MA was found to bemost effective in increasing crease recovery performance of the cotton fabric followed by MgO while CaO was found to beineffective. Fabric tear strength was also improved by the incorporation of these nanoparticles. Additionally, incorporation ofthese nanoparticles exhibited improvement in the fabric handle and antimicrobial properties.
