The Korean intellectuals of the Emancipation Period (1945-1950) were faced with the responsibility to build the new independent state. Seol Jeong-Shik, one of the most active intellectuals of the time, approached this task from the perspective of the redemption of the Korean people and saw poetry as the optimal medium. The basis for his thoughts and devices were as follows: 1. The task of people``s redemption originated from his judgement that the Korean People did not have an authentic figure for the new era. 2. It seems that in Seol``s thought, the authentic figure of the people was not that of a specific tribe but rather represented universal humanity, although its concrete aspects were not yet determined. 3. He believed that to arrive at the authentic figure, Korean people should be at once entirely denied and entirely respected. They should be entirely denied for their resurrection, but should also be entirely affirmed as they would rescue themselves without others`` intervention. 4. For the achievement of this re-birth of Korean People through the simultaneous directly-opposed self-identifications, Seol considered that the intellectuals had to take a role of the catalyst who was willing to be sacrificed by the people in return for his severe reproach to the latter, and, by this sacrifice, make them realize their fault and stand out toward self-remediation. Seol came thereby to presume the achievements of Jesus Christ as the symbol of the intellectuals`` task. 5. At the same time, he took the poetry for the optimum medium of the intellectuals`` task for the self-awakening of the people. Therefore, his poetry was composed basically by the oxymoron that included both the statement and counterstatement about the people. This oxymoron put the multi layered meanings and the complex resonances on his poems.

Derivation of reasonable design rainfall was attempted by comparative analysis of design rainfall derived by frequency analysis of Type I extremal distribution and probability plotting technique for annual maximum 1-day, 1-hour and 10-minute rainfalls observed at Cheong Ju. The results were analyzed and summarized as follows : 1. Basic statistics were calculated for the analysis of Type I extremal distribution with annual maximum 1-day, 1-hour and 10-minute rainfalls at Cheong Ju. 2. Necessary parameters were derived by frequency analysis of Type I extremal distribution for annual maximum 1-day, 1-hour and 10-minute rainfalls at Cheong Ju. 3. Design annual maximum 1-day, 1-hour and 10-minute rainfalls in mm were derived by frequency analysis of Type I extremal distribution and probability plotting technique respectively at Cheong Ju. 4. Design annual maximum 1-hour and 10-minute rainfalls were derived by frequency analysis of Type I extremal distribution and probability plotting technique are shown to be much closer to the observed data but design annual maximum 1-day rainfall is not to be closer to the observed data. 5. Design annual maximum rainfalls following the duration derived by Type I extremal distribution are seemed to be more reasonable than those of probability plotting technique owing to the difference of individual eyefitting.

In recent, the government is implementing the policy for development into 'low carbon green city'. Also, the each municipal government is trying to establish its paradigm that considers the regional characteristics with the energy policy of the central government. Also the Chungju city planning Business-friendly city and constructing the Chungju high-tech industrial park for forming green city connected with 'Asia Solar Valley' of Chungcheongbuk-do. This study aims to suggest the plan cultivating the solar energy industry of Chungju city. For the study, the cultivating plans of Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeung Pyeong-gun are analyzed. As a result, the solar energy infrastructure plan, distribution plan, and industrialization plan are suggested for Chungju solar energy industry.
공동주택에 있어서 층수와 개발용량과의 상관성에 관한 연구

The population increase in urban areas causes many problems One of them is the shortage of housing. The government has supplied many high-rise apartment houses to solve the lack of housing. It has many advantages that enhance the efficient landuse and supplies sufficient houses, but it has many disadvantages at the same time. It is necessary to regulate high-rise housing policies to protect the urban landscape. It, however, has brought damage to properties of land owners or developers. The study analyzed the correlation between the number of floors and capacity of the development after setting up constant conditions. The result showed that capacity of the development from 10th to 15th floors changed about 10%, and from 5th to 9th floors changed more than 10%. The analysis of the correlation between the number of floors and capacity of the development depends of H = -0.638 + 14.4C^2 (r = 0.963) In other words, the capacity of the development decreased about one-ninth when the number of floors decreased about one-third. Therefore, it was proven that urban landscape and the citizens' property right can be protected through the appropriate incentives. Differences can appear in the apartment built in the real site because that model used in the study was based on special conditions. Therefore, the case study in the real site and the advanced study through variable set-ups of the number of floors are required.
