오학수,정동혁,오동우 한국스포츠리서치 2004 한국 스포츠 리서치 Vol.15 No.1

The shoulder joint, the most mobile joint in the human body, is at greater risks for injuries. Several factors contribute to shoulder impingement syndrome including rotator cuff weakness, capsular tightness, poor scapulohumeral rhythm, and muscle imbalance of the scapular upward rotation force couple. Rehabilitation and training of the shoulder in throwing and overhead athletes has dramatically improved during the last decade. There are numerous reasons for rapid return to athletic training and competition. A preventive program designed for the glenohumeral joint is mainly based on an appropriate preparation, which should include overall body conditioning, flexibility, and strengthening of the musculature around the glenohumeral joint and the scapula. Activity levels represent a helpful guide in determining an appropriate rehabilitation program for shoulder patients ranging from disabled to those competing at the highest levels of athletics. The purpose of this study is to find out the utility of the rehabilitation massage applied to the patients with shoulder impingement syndrome by measuring, assessing and analyzing the changes in intensity and unpleasantness of muscle pains before and after rehabilitation massage. After rehabilitation massage, the McGill pain questionnaire word list(MPQWL), verbal rating scale(VRS), visual analogue scale(VAS) were used to measure the degree of the pain on the patients. The major findings from this study are as follows; 1. The surveyed patients range from 28 to 65 in age, with highest numbers of 25 (43.10%) registered in the forties and next ones of 16(27.59%) in the fifties. Divided by sex, 35 are men and 23 are women totalling 58 with average age of 47.1. 2. There was significant decrease in the numerical values of MPQWL, VRS and VAS after rehabilitation massage(p<.05). 3. There was significant decrease in the intensity of pain and unpleasantness of pain after rehabilitation massage(p<.05). 4. From the analysis into chronological changes in the intensity of pains before and after rehabilitation massage with ANOVA, it became evident that the longer the period of treatment was, the higher the pains decreases drastically, while significant difference was shown in the intensity of pains(p<.05). 5. From the analysis into chronological changes in the unpleasantness of pains before and after rehabilitation massage with ANOVA, it became evident that the longer the period of treatment was, the higher the pains decreases drastically, while significant difference was shown in the unpleasantness of pains(p<.05). Summed up, it can be generally concluded that rehabilitation massage is an effective treatment to rid the patients with shoulder impingement syndrome of pains safely and promptly. From the above outcomes, it was revealed that rehabilitation massage has proven to reduce the pains. It is, therefore, suggested to continue and expand the study on the cure of shoulder impingement syndrome and to motivate patients, orthopedists, physiatrists, physiotherapists, and sports massagists etc. to consider massage program as safest and most efficient pain remedy.

      • 지연유발근육통에 대한 치료적 스포츠마사지와 초음파치료의 효과 비교

        오학수,정동혁,오동우 한국스포츠리서치 2003 한국 스포츠 리서치 Vol.14 No.6

Delayed onset muscle soreness(DOMS), the sensation of pain and stiffness in the muscles that occurs from 1 to 5 days following unaccustomed exercise, can adversely affect muscular performance, both from voluntary reduction of effort and from inherent loss of capacity of the muscles to produce force. This reduction in performance is temporary; permanent impairment does not occur. The etiology and cellular mechanisms of DOMS are not known, but a number of hypotheses exist to explain the phenomenon. DOMS is a commom problem that can interfere with rehabilitation as well as activities of daily living. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of both Therapeutic Sports Massage(TSM) and Ultra Sound Therapy(UST) on DOMS. Twenty-one untrained and male volunteer subjects were randomly assigned to one of three treatment groups: 1) a group that received TSM, 2) UST or 3) a control group that received no treatment. Subjects performed repeated eccentric exercise of the non-dominant forearm flexor muscle with submaximal intensity by the simply designed eccentric exercise devices. Treatments were applied after 24 hours and 48 hours. Subjects attended two consecutive days of treatment and measurement of elbow flexion, extension, resting angle (universal goniometer), and pain(visual analogue scale: VAS) on a daily basis. Measurements were taken after treatment. Results of analysis were as follows; 1) There were no significant differences between TSM and UST by one-way repeated ANOVA, 2) The t-test for pain, flexion, extension and resting angle revealed significant differences within TSM group, 3) The t-test for pain, flexion, extension and resting angle revealed significant differences within UST group. Summed up, it can be generally concluded that TSM and UST are an effective treatments to rid the patients with DOMS of pains safely and promptly. Suggestions for further research and implications for the clinical of TSM and UST for DOMS-Treatment are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of the massage program applied to the patients with frozen shoulder by measuring, assessing and analyzing the changes in pain and range of motion(ROM) before and after massage program. Surveyed from Jan. 2001 to December 2002 were 104 patients suffering from frozen shoulder. In the rehabilitation massage program, such methods as Effleurage, Petrissage and Deep transverse friction were selected as they are among traditional massage treatments frequently used for joints with pain and restricted ROM. Effleurage and Petrissage were applied for 20 minutes in total before and after Deep Transverse Friction. After massage program, the intensity and unpleasantness of pain were measured and analyzed by means of VAS(visual analogue scaleH and VAS-U, while ROM was measured and analyzed by using Goniometer. The major findings from this study are as follows; 1. There was significant decrease in the intensity of pain and unpleasantness of pain after rehabilitation massage program(p<.05). 2. There appeared, however, significant increase in ROM after rehabilitation massage program(p<.05). 3. From the analysis into chronological changes in ROM before and after rehabilitation massage program with ANOVA, it became evident that the longer the period of treatment was, the higher the ROM increases drastically, while significant difference was shown in Abduction and in External and Internal Rotation(p<.05). Summed up, it can be generally concluded that rehabilitation massage program is an effective treatment to rid the patients with frozen shoulder of pains safely and promptly. From the above outcomes, it was revealed that rehabilitation massage program has proven to reduce the pains, exercising huge influence to increase ROM. It is, therefore, suggested to continue and expand the study on the cure of frozen shoulder and to motivate patients, orthopedists, physiatrists, physiotherapists, and sports massagists etc. to consider massage program as safest and most efficient pain remedy.

      • 改正信用狀統一規則의 運用上의 問題點에 관한 硏究 : 運送書類關聯規定을 中心으로

        朴斗學,梁暎煥,吳元奭,金正秀 東亞大學校 大學院 1987 大學院論文集 Vol.12 No.-

The U.C.P(1983 Revison) set out guidelines relating to a transport document which would enable banks to accept such a document, or compel them to reject it, regardless of what the document appers to call itself, as follows: a) The case where the credit stipulates a marine bill of lading as the required transport document(Article 26) or, b) The case where the credit stipulates dispatch of goods by post(Article 30), of which case was excluded in this thesis or, c) All other cases where the credit calls for a transport document(Article 25). The definitions of the "shipment" are of "loading on board" or "dispatch" or "taking in charge", so Article 25 which made a clear distinction betwen a marine bill of lading and other transport document, especially combined transport document, referred mainly to the combined transport document as a popular transport document into four paragraphs: Paragraph(a): "mandatory general requirement" which the transport doucument must need for tis to be acceptable under the credit: Paragraph(b): "optional extras", i.e. additional elements in the transport document which will not affect its acceptability; Paragraph(c): elements in the transport document which make its rejection mandatory such as charter-party B/L, or the document issued by sailing vessel; Paragraph(d): elements in a transport document which may cause it to be rejected, such as freight forwarder's transport document. or which may permit its acceptance, such as FIATA FBL, including the freight forwarder's transport document acting as a carrier or agent of a named carrier. In making application of this paragraph(d) in practical side, what is mattered is that the U C P (1983 revision) did not provide the definition of a "carrier" which may be a norm in deciding of acceptability of the freight forwarder's transport document. The 1980 Revision of Incoterms, appreciating that one of the basic functions of a transport document is to evidence the contract of carriage, states that "carrier" means any person by whom or in whose name a contract of carriage by road, rail, sea or a combination of modes has been made, but this definition does not have a binding force and effect on the L/C tranaction because the L/C is a separate transaction because the L/C is a separate transaction from the sales contract. Article 26 applies only when the credit calling for a transport document stipulates as such document "a marine bill of lading", and it broadly follows the structure of Article 25. A marine bill of lading in the Article, unkess otherwise stupylated in the credit must be an "on board" form. As this Article only apply to " a marine bill of lading", the document which contains the word "intended" or "issued by freight forwarder", unless it indicates that the freight forwarder is acting as a carrier or its agent, will not be acceptable. But the Paragraph(b) in this Article stipulates that banks will not reject a document which bears a title such as "Combined transport billof Lading", Combined transport doucument", "Combined transport bill of lading or port-to-port bill of lading ......, so in cases of Combined transport documents which meet the requirements of Paragraph(a) of article 26, it is very confusing to find a appropriate Article in application. thus to avoid a confusion L/C applicant showed designate Article 26 in L/C if he wants it to be applied in Combined transport document. Article 27 made the change of UCp(1974 revision) that an "on board" document should be the norm; namely "taken in charge" or "received for shipment" now because an equivalent alternative for transport documents other than marine bill of lading.

      • 성상세포종에서 등급에 따른 p53 단백 발현의 차이

기근홍,양정원,이승학,이민오,성정희 조선대학교 2001 The Medical Journal of Chosun University Vol.26 No.1

Background and Objectives: Mutation or inactivation of the p53 is important mechanism in a wide variety of human tumors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between expression amount of p53 protein and the grade of astrocytic gliomas. Materials and Methods: This study analyzes 40 paraffin-embedded astrocytic glioma, including 10 cases of low grade, 20 cases of high grade, and 10 cases of maligant glioma (glioblastoma multiforme) were used to analyze the status of abnormal accumulation of wild type of p53 protein. The evaluation of the immunostaining result was based on the percentage of positive neoplastic cells. Results: Average positive cell rate of p53 protein were 4.2%, 35.4% and 16.2% in low grade astrocytoma, high grade astrocytoma and glioblastoma multiforme, respectively. Conclusion: p53 gene mutations were correlated with histologic grade of glial tumors. High grade and glioblastoma multiforme showed higher positive cell rate than low grade astrocytoma. These results suggest that the high positive rates of p53 protein is related to the poor prognosis.

A Study on Residents’ Participation on Landscape Planting in a New Town at South Korea

        Jeong Hak Oh 한국인간·식물·환경학회 2016 인간식물환경학회지 Vol.19 No.6

Unlike the general downtown parks, the new town landscaping work has significant residents’opinion with enormous influence on the work process. Therefore, mutual understanding with residents is very important in New Town landscape construction. To realize a role of residents, this study analyzed the types and characteristics of residents for landscape planting targeting Gwanggyo New Town at South Korea. 142 opinions of residents received officially to the project executor were used for research materials to the subject of landscape planting. As a result of analysis, residents' opinions were received in summer and spring owing to the nature of plant materials. Regarding the respondents, males are much more than females. In the opinion, there are most of ‘expressing complaints and demanding improvements’ rather than ‘contact and information request’ or ‘new proposals and recommendations’. As a result of typifying them after analyzing the contents of the opinions, 10 types were drawn. The demand for ‘dead wood processing’ was most, next, there are the demand for additional planting, that for slope vegetation, that for riverbed vegetation revetment loss, etc. The researcher looked into the opinions of residents in depth by analyzing the association between the number of opinions and the contents of opinions. Those who express the 1st opinion pointed out ‘vegetation revetment loss’ a lot but those who have the 6th-10th opinion mentioned ‘dead wood processing’ a lot so there was a significant difference finally.

      • Dimethoxycurcumin, a Synthetic Curcumin Analogue, Induces Heme Oxygenase-1 Expression through Nrf2 Activation in RAW264.7 Macrophages

        Jeong, Sun-Oh,Oh, Gi-Su,Ha, Hun-Yong,Soon Koo, Bon,Sung Kim, Hak,Kim, Youn-Chul,Kim, Eun-Cheol,Lee, Kang-Min,Chung, Hun-Taeg,Pae, Hyun-Ock the Society for Free Radical Research Japan 2009 Journal of clinical biochemistry and nutrition Vol.44 No.1

Curcumin [1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione] induces heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) expression via activation of the nuclear factor-erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), whereas tetrahydrocurcumin [1,7-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3,5-heptanedione], one of curcumin in vivo metabolites, has no effect on HO-1 expression and Nrf2 activation. The aim of this study was to investigate whether dimethoxycurcumin [1,7-bis(4,3-dimethoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione], a synthetic curcumin analogue with higher metabolic stability over curcumin, could induce HO-1 expression to the same extent as curcumin in RAW264.7 macrophages. Dimethoxycurcumin and curcumin, but not tetrahydrocurcumin, induced HO-1 expression and Nrf2 nuclear translocation, suggesting that the unsaturated nature of the diarylheptanoid chain of the compounds are crucial for HO-1 expression and Nrf2 activation. Blockage of Nrf2 synthesis by small interfering RNA abolished HO-1 expression by dimethoxycurcumin, indicating that dimethoxycurcumin may induce HO-1 expression via Nrf2 activation. In comparison, dimethoxycurcumin and curcumin had about the same effect on HO-1 expression, suggesting that dimethoxycurcumin retains the HO-1-inducing activity of its parent compound curcumin in RAW264.7 macrophages.
