Bi-stable composite which is cured on flat tool-plate has same curvature values and strain potentials level for each stable states. As a result, loading conditions to induce snap-through behavior from one stable state to another are same. However, if we induce initial curvature to bi-stable composite, not only final curvature values, but also loading conditions are affected because strain energy of bi-stable composite is a function of initial curvature. Therefore, if one configuration of bi-stable composite is needed to be stiff but the other configuration is needed to be flexible. This requirement can be satisfied by changing the initial curvature value. In this research, we investigate loading condition to induce snap-through behavior of bi-stable composite with respect to change of initial curvature.
