<P>A previously unknown abiotic humification pathway which is highly accelerated in frozen solution containing phenolic compounds and nitrite was investigated and proposed. The production of humic-like acids (HLA) and fulvic-like acids (FLA) was observed in the frozen solution (−20 °C) whereas it was negligible in aqueous solution (20 °C). Inorganic nitrogen was transformed into organic nitrogen during the humification process. Mass spectrometry (MS) and elemental analyses, including pyrolysis-GC/MS and FT-ion cyclotron resonance/MS, showed that humification products (HLA and FLA) have chemical structures and compositions similar to nature humic substances. The enhanced humification reaction could be attributed to the freeze-concentration effect, whereby nitrite ions in the unfrozen grain boundary region are transformed into nitrosonium ions which oxidize phenols to phenolic radicals. Confocal Raman microscopy confirmed that catechol and nitrite ions are preferentially concentrated at the ice grain boundary and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopic analysis of catechol/nitrite solution detected the phenolic radicals only in frozen solution, not in aqueous solution. The freezing-induced generation of phenolic radicals should lead to the formation of humic-like substances through polymerization. This study identifies and proposes a new humic formation pathway that might work as a model abiotic “bottom-up” mechanism in frozen environmental conditions.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

Serial basic tests were conducred for the dererrnination of fundamental kinerics and for the actual application of kineric parameter to food wasre digesrion with precise measurement of methane production under a thermophilic condition. The effecrs of food particle size, sodium ion concentration, and volarile 5이id (VS) loading rare on rhe anaerobic thermophilic food wasre digesrion process were investigared. Results of serial test for the determination of fundamental kinetic coefficients showed the value of k (maximum subsrrare utilizatÎon rare coefficient) and KS (h빠 saturarion coeffìcient) as 0.24 hr-1 and 700 mg/l, respectively, for non-inhibiting organic loading range. No inhibition effect was shown untiI 5 g/l of sodium ion concentration was applied to a serum bottle reactor. However, the volume of mεthane gas was decreased gradually when the concentrations of more than 5 g/l of sodium ion applied. All sizes of food waste particle showed the same consranrs (A : 0.45) but the maximum subsrrare utilizatÎon rate constam (kHA) was inversely proportional to particle size. As an average particle size increased from 1.02 mm to 2.14 mm, kHA decreased from 0.0033 hr-1 to 0.0015 hr-1. The resulr reveals thar particle size is one of the mosr important factors in anaerobic food wasre digestion. There was no inhibition effect of sodium ion when VS loading rare was 30 g/ l. And maximum injection concentration of VS loading rare was derermined about 40 g/l.

In this paper, dynamic model for transient shift state of metal belt CVT was derived based on belt-pulley transmission mechanism and viscous friction model assuming that viscous friction force occurs between the belt and pulley in radial direction in transient state. Numerical results showed that in case of downshift, as the load torque increased, the magnitude of the speed rario change decreased and the settling time decreased. In case of upshift, the magnitude of the speed ratio change decreased and the settling time increased. Theoretical results showed the same trend with the existing experimental results at some value of the viscous damping coefficient. Further researchs are required using improved friction model considering the rotational speed based on the experiments.
서울메트로 3,4호선 전동차의 전,후부 BV핸들 취부 시상용제동 완해 불능 및 후부 단동,복동 스냅동작 스위치 불량으로 인한 상용제동력 개선에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 서울메트로 3,4 호선 전동차(대우 ADV,일산선,현대 ADV,DV)의 전두, 후부차 BV 핸들 취부시 상용제동 완해 불능 및 제동제어기의 단동,복동 스냅동작 스위치 불량으로 인한 상용제동력 개선에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 본선 운행 중 승무원의 실수로 후부차 제동제어기의 캠축이 동작하든지 또는 후부차 스냅동작 스위치 불량으로 기관사가 요구하는 상용제동력이 출력되지 않거나 완해되지 않아 승무원의 혼란을 야기시키며 본선운행에 막대한 지장을 초래하게 된다. 후부차 제동제어기 오취급 및 단동,복동 스냅동작 스위치 불량 시 상용제동의 완해 및 요구제동력이 출력될 수 있도록 회로의 전반적인 검토를 통하여 향후 제동제어기 문제로 인한 제반 문제점을 해결하고자 본 연구를 시작하였다. Study on improvement of service braking force due to defective single acting ,double-acting snap action switch and impossible service brake releasing, during insertion BV handle in the front and the rear of Seoul Metro Line No. 3,4 trains. Whatever camshaft operates in the brake controller by mistake of the crew and operates snap action switch defective on the main tracks. A locomotive engineer does not get service brake power that output form controller and BV handle doesn’t release ,So confusing the engineer will result in a significant obstacle to the main track. When the rear car brake controller mishandling and single-acting, double-acting snap action switch defect, It can be started a study to solve the various problems caused by the next brake control problems.

<P>This letter deals with coding and multiplexing strategies for DL/UL MAP transmission in IEEE 802.16m. Separate coding gives a better choice against the joint coding due to the individual users' link adaptation gain. As a multiplexing option, frequency-domain multiplexing outperforms time-domain one in the system-level performance thanks to its flexible power sharing capability between overhead channels and user traffic channels. Overall system-wide performance results are presented with the system level simulation for the various options.</P>
