<P>A sticker-type system with hybrid integration of CMOS IC and organic optical sensors is proposed to monitor photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals. To solve problems with the previous solely organic sensor-based works, CMOS IC is implemented in 180 nm technology under 5 V/1.5 V dual power supply. The silver-wire printed planar-fashionable circuit board (P-FCB) is used to connect the CMOS IC with organic sensors. The proposed hybrid system has the five following key features: 1) Power-efficient structure of organic sensor; 2) Integrated analog front-end and digital processor; 3) Degradation compensation scheme; 4) Large parasitic elements optimized design; and 5) Motion artifact rejection scheme. The stickertype PPG monitoring system has mass of only 2g, including the batteries, and consumes only 233 mu W to operate. The PPG signal could be acquired from various body parts (finger, wrist, and neck). The peripheral oxygen saturation level (SpO(2)) extraction results are verified by comparison with a commercial sensor device.</P>

<P>A one-step and mass-production synthetic route for a flexible reduced tungsten oxide-carbon composite nanofiber (WO(x)-C-NF) film is demonstrated via an electrospinning technique. The WO(x)-C-NF film exhibits unprecedented high content of metal-oxides ( 80 wt%) and good flexibility (the tensile strength of the specimen was 6.13 MPa) without the use of flexible support materials like CNTs or graphene. The WO(x)-C-NF film is directly used as an anode in a lithium ion battery (LIB). Compared with previously reported tungsten oxide electrodes, the WO(x)-C-NF film exhibits high reversible capacity (481 mA h g(-1)total electrode), stable cycle, and improved rate performance, without the use of additive carbon, a polymeric binder and a current collector. Moreover, control electrodes fabricated by conventional processes support the positive effects of both the freestanding electrode and metal-oxide embedded carbon 1-D nanofiber structure.</P>

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to inverstigate the changes in muscle synergy and muscle weightings during sqaut exercise on different ground slopes and propose the goal-directed squat exercise as a rehabilitation method. Methods: Tweleve healthy young adults with an average age of 21.45 ± 1.03 years, and body mass index of 24.21 ± 4.01kg/m2 performed squat exercises on 3 different slope boards(i.e. flat, 10-degree incline, 10-degree decline ground slope). The squat exercise on each ground slope condtion was performed 10 trials with a rest time of 30 seconds between the conditions. During the squat exercise, muscle activation of tibialis anterior (TA), multifidus (MUL), gastrocnemius (GCM) and internal oblique (IO) muscles were measured and included in muscle synergy analysis using ICAPCA. Results: As a result, three synergies of all participants were extracted and there was no significant difference in variance accounted for(VAF) of each synergy, indicating the complexity of muscle synergy between the ground slope condition. However, during exercise on the incline slope ground, there were sigfniciant lower TA muscle weighting of synergy 1 (P=0.020) and higher IO muscle weighting of synergy 2 (P=0.005) than flat ground. Furthremore, during exercise on the decline slope ground, a significant lower TA muscle weighting of synergy 2 (P=0.017) was found when compared with the incline slope ground. Conclusion: In conclusion, the findings of this study suggest that squat exercise on incline slope ground will be recommended for training lower extremity muscles above the ankle and abdominal core muscles, and decline slope ground will be recommended for training balance abiltiy, especially, in the elderly.

Commercially used Nd-Fe-B sintered permanent magnets have been widely used in various applications such as hard disc drives, wind power generators, efficient air-conditioner compressors and motors for electric vehicles. Since these applications are often used in high-temprature environments, the required coercivity and remanence have been simultaneously obtained by using the heavy rare earth (HRE) grain boundary diffusion process (GBDP). In this study, we report the heat treatment temperature dependence of magnetic properties as a start to reduce the HRE content of GBDP-based high performance magnets. TbH coated commercial Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets were annealed under various temperatures and the coercivity and remanence were systematically measured. Further description of the microstructure will be discussed in detail.

The tandem project is an additional effective method in learning Russian as a foreign language. This form of work is very useful for students of the middle stage of education, as it allows to significantly expand the existing vocabulary, to activate the basic speech skills of students and to deepen their knowledge of the Russian language and culture. The free form of dialogue and polylogue, which is the basis of the tandem, a friendly atmosphere that unites representatives of the two cultures, Russian and Korean, are most close to communication in real language conditions. Interest in the country and culture of the language helps unprepared Dialogic and monologic speech of students on topical issues of social-cultural communication and increases motivation for further study of the Russian language and culture. This form of teaching foreign languages must be used as an additional component of the educational process aimed at mastering the language as a means of communication with representatives of another culture.

<P>In this paper, we propose a method to suppress differential-to-common-mode conversion noise from right-angle bent differential lines by installing a mushroom structure on the narrow inner line. We assessed the mode conversion noise suppression characteristics of the proposed structure by analyzing dispersion diagrams. The proposed structure exhibits differential-to-common-mode conversion ( <TEX>$S_{cd21}$</TEX>) below −20 dB up to 6 GHz, while <TEX>$S_{cd21}$</TEX> of conventional right-angle bent differential lines is only maintained below −20 dB for frequencies up to 1.04 GHz. In addition, we suggest that further enhancements of the mode conversion suppression bandwidth can be achieved by installing multiple distributed mushroom structures on right-angle bent differential lines. The use of multiple distributed mushrooms enabled us to achieve a wider frequency bandwidth by compensating more fully for the phase difference between the inner and outer lines. Therefore, the right-angle bent differential lines with multiple distributed mushrooms can suppress mode conversion noise under −20 dB up to 10 GHz. We assessed the performance of our proposed structure by conducting measurements in both the frequency and time domains. We obtained a good agreement between our experimental and numerical results. In addition, we measured eye diagrams to demonstrate that the proposed structures suppress differential-to-common-mode conversion noise without degrading the differential signaling quality.</P>
