The use of high strength steels are gradually increasing to reduce the weight of automobile to improve the environmental problems and collision safety. To encounter the traditional disadvantages of high strength steels like as a poor formability and high springback, hot press forming has been developed. By this method, the strength of steel sheet is increased about three times of original one through die quenching process. In order to the design of hot press forming tools by using numerical simulation, the knowledge of mechanical and microstructural characteristics are required. This study show the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of a high strength boron-alloyed steel according to the various quenching conditions.
Use of Acetylated Softwood Kraft Lignin as Filler in Synthetic Polymers
Jeong, Heonyoung,Park, Jongshin,Kim, Sunghoon,Lee, Jungmin,Cho, Jae Whan 한국섬유공학회 2012 FIBERS AND POLYMERS Vol.13 No.10
Partially acetylated softwood kraft lignin (ASKL) is used as filler in synthetic polymers such as LDPE, PP, PS and PET. ASKL/synthetic polymer composites are prepared by melt-blending and compression molding with ASKL content up to 50.0 wt%. The chemical and physical properties of ASKL/synthetic polymer composites are also investigated. TGA results show that ASKL is more thermally stable than SKL up to $200^{\circ}C$. FTIR spectra demonstrate a formation of free volume by crystallization of LDPE in ASKL/LDPE composite. DSC results show that the glass transition temperature of ASKL decreased by acetylation, and ASKL/synthetic polymer composites (50/50 w/w) have a single glass transition. The AFM images of ASKL/synthetic polymer composites show no significant phase separation. Young's moduli of ASKL/synthetic polymer composites increased with ASKL content in some extents. Tensile strength and breaking strain of ASKL/PET composite are almost retained in spite of the addition of ASKL as a result of a contraction in free volume or densification.

This paper presents a continuous-rate reference-less clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit with an asynchronous baud-rate sampling to achieve an adaptive equalization as well as a data rate acquisition. The proposed scheme also enables the use of a successive approximation register (SAR) based approach in the frequency acquisition and results in a fast coarse lock process. The CDR guarantees a robust operation of a fine locking even in the presence of large input data jitter due to the adaptive equalization and a jitter-tolerable rotation frequency detector (RFD) that eliminates a dead-zone problemwith a simple circuitry. The fabricated CDR in 65 nm CMOS shows a wide lock range of 0.65-to-10.5 Gb/s at a bit error rate (BER) of 10(-12). The CDR consumes 26 mW from a single supply voltage of 1 V at 10 Gb/s including the power consumption for equalizer. By an adaptive current bias control, the power consumption is also linearly scaled down with the data rate, exhibiting a slope of about 2 mW decrease per Gb/s.
