The Mold transformers fire retardant and environmentally friendly equipment, such as oil leaks, etc. Since the ship has been used in many places. We analysis of the Marine mold transformers temperature with commercial code ICEPAK and we designed the best compact-size of transformer. In particular, this raper used in the AFWF(Air Forced and Water Forced) mold transformer, protection rating of the enclosure must be over 44 (IP code) and the life of the transformer is dependent on the thermal temperature of windings so the designers of transformer are predicted or calculated temperature distribution. In this paper, we pre-simulated of the transformers temperature and enclosure before final designed transformer and the results show a satisfactory results with actual temperature rise measurements obtained from thermal imaging camera.

현 IGC 코드의 멤브레인형 LNG선박의 화물탱크에 설치되는 vent 출구의 높이는 노출갑판상 B/3 또는 6m 중 큰 것 이상으로 하고 작업구역 및 전후부 통행로, 갑판상의 저장탱크 및 화물설계액위 보다 6m 이상 높게 설치하여야 한다. 때문에 높은 vent riser로 인하여 작업의 어려움 및 wheel house에서의 견시요원의 전방 시야를 방해하는 등 항해의 어려움을 초래한다. 본 연구에서는 현 화물탱크의 vent 출구의 높이에 대한 적합성 평가를 수행하며 IGC 코드 개정작업의 기초자료를 제시한다.

Numerical solutions are presented for compressible fluid flow past a rotating elliptic cylinder in a medium at rest at infinity. Flowfields and acoustic waves emitted from rotating elliptic cylinder are directly simulated by the lattice Boltzmann method formulated by the arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian scheme. The flowfield is almost periodic after the calculation fully developed and studied by means of streamlines and equi-vorticity lines and by means of drag, lift and moment coefficients. The numerical analysis produce typical flows such that the large vortexes appear at the outside of the elliptic cylinder, and move slowly to the same direction as the cylinder's rotation. The positive and negative vorticity is alternately occurred at the edge by those large vortexes. The acoustic waves propagate synchronizing with the rotation and increase with M<SUP>3.5</SUP> of rotational speed of elliptic cylinder.

The head-capacity curves for pumps developed by the pump manufacturer are based on tests of a single pump operating in a semi-infinite pool with no nearby walls or floors and no stray currents. Hence, flow into the pump suction is symmetrical with no vortices or swirling. Pump station designers rely on these curves to define the operating conditions for the pump selected. But various constraints such as size, cost, and limitations on storage time require walls, floors, and pump intakes to be close proximity to each other. From this background, the authors are carrying out a systematic study on the flow characteristics of intakes within a sump found within a sump of pump stations. Model pump intake basin is designed and PIV is adopted as a measuring tool to capture the instantaneous flow patterns. Special attention is paid to investigate the flow patterns near the free surface due to different clearances from back-wall to vertical intake pipe with bell mouse and without. Moreover, the locations and vorticities of the various types of vortices that were found in the examinations are discussed.
