Wu, Qing-Wu,Yan, Rui-Fang,Li, Qiang,Hu, Ying,Zhou, Feng-Mei,Ren, Ji-Peng,Yang, Rui-Min,Zhang, Yan Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.11
Through retrospective analysis of 13 cases of magnetic resonance image (MRI) manifestations of atypical meningiomas confirmed by operation and pathology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University, the objective of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of MRI in order to improve the accuracy rate of preoperative diagnosis. In this retrospective analysis of MRI findings for atypical meningiomas in First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January to July in 2012, the location, morphology and tumor signals and other tumor imaging characteristics were covered. In 13 cases of atypical meningioma patients of this group, most tumors were located at typical sites (10/13), mainly the falx cerebri, parasagittal, convexity, saddle area. Only two cases were at atypical locations, 1 in the cerebellar hemisphere and 1 in a lateral ventricle. Most of the tumors showed T1 and T2 isointensity signals, and necrosis, calcification, and peritumoral edema were always featured. DWI showed isointensity in 11 cases (11/13), and hyperintensity in 2. Some 9 cases had dural tail signs, 12 had accurate positioning (12/13), and 2 were postoperative recurrences. MRI has high value in the diagnosis of atypical meningiomas, with important roles in early clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis evaluation.

Background: The high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) protein is a widespread nuclear protein present in most cell types. It typically locates in the nucleus and functions as a nuclear cofactor in transcription regulation. However, HMGB1 can also localize in the cytoplasm and be released into extracellular matrix, where it plays critical roles in carcinogenesis and inflammation. However, it remains elusive whether HMGB1 is relocated to cytoplasm in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Methods: Nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins were extracted by different protocols from 20 ccRCC samples and corresponding adjacent renal tissues. Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were used to identify the expression of HMGB1 in ccRCC. To elucidate the potential mechanism of HMGB1 cytoplasmic translocation, HMGB1 proteins were enriched by immunoprecipitation and analyzed by mass spectrometry (MS). Results: The HMGB1 protein was overexpressed and partially localized in cytoplasm in ccRCC samples (12/20, 60%, p<0.05). Immunohistochemistry results indicated that ccRCC of high nuclear grade possess more HMGB1 relocation than those with low grade (p<0.05). Methylation of HMGB1 at lysine 112 in ccRCC was detected by MS. Bioinformatics analysis showed that post-translational modification might affect the binding ability to DNA and mediate its translocation. Conclusion: Relocation of HMGB1 to cytoplasm was confirmed in ccRCC. Methylation of HMGB1 at lysine 112 might the redistribution of this cofactor protein.
A pairing-free key-insulated certificate-based signature scheme with provable security

Certificate-based signature (CBS) combines the advantages of both public key-based signature and identity-based signature, while saving from the disadvantages of drawbacks in both PKS and IBS. The insecure deployment of CBS under the hostile circumstances usually causes the exposure of signing key to be inescapable. To resist the threat of key leakage, we present a pairing-free key insulated CBS scheme by incorporating the idea of key insulated mechanism and CBS. Our scheme eliminates the costly pairing operations and as a matter of fact outperforms the existing key insulated CBS schemes. It is more suitable for low-power devices. Furthermore, the unforgeability of our scheme has been formally proven to rest on the discrete logarithm assumption in the random oracle model.

Flame retardancy and thermal degradation of wood treated with magnesium chloride (MgCl2 6H2O) were investigated. Results showed that MgCl2 6H2O decreased flame intensity and heat release rate, and reduced smoke concentration and gas yield. From ambient temperature to 250 ℃, MgCl2 6H2O reduced wood combustibility by gas dilution mechanism. The chemical started to decompose at 350 8C and produced MgOHCl, in which -Cl and -Mg free radicals were generated and intervened the chain reactions of wood combustion. Hydrogen chloride gas generated promoted wood charring. MgCl2 6H2O gradually converted to MgOHCl and MgO compounds at higher temperatures, and MgO suppressed wood combustion by the wall effect mechanism.
Chemical Composition, Antioxidant and Cytoprotective Activities of Lotus Receptacle
Weicheng Hu,Gongcheng Wang,Ting Shen,Yuning Wang,Boran Hu,Xinfeng Wang,Lei Wu,Pengxia Li,Lilian Ji 한국원예학회 2015 Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology Vol.56 No.5
The nutritional composition (ash, protein, fat, crude fiber, and carbohydrate) and antioxidant activity of lotus receptacles (LRs) were studied. The LRs contained 88.25% carbohydrates, 22.90% crude fiber, 5.79% crude ash, 0.77% crude protein content, and 5.19% crude lipid on a dry weight basis. The ethanolic extract of lotus receptacle (ELR) exerted strong scavenging effects on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical, hydroxyl radical (•OH), superoxide anion (O2-), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), as well as high reducing power. ELR pretreatment effectively elevated cell viability and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) levels in H2O2-treated RAW 264.7 cells. Additionally, ELR had high phenolic and flavonoid contents with values of 318.15 mg gallic acid equivalent/g and 239.06 mg rutin equivalent/g, respectively. Moreover, the bioactivity-guided study of ELR resulted in the isolation and identification of quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (QOG), a dietary flavonoid. QOG exhibited strong DPPH free radical scavenging activity, with an IC50 value of 24.26 μM; docking studies revealed that QOC formed one hydrogen bond with LYS263 in the active site, suggesting it is, in part, responsible for the free activity of LR.
Few-shot transfer learning with attention for intelligent fault diagnosis of bearing
Yao Hu,Qingyu Xiong,Qiwu Zhu,Zhengyi Yang,Zhiyuan Zhang,Dan Wu,Zihui Wu 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.12
The bearing is one of the key components in modern industrial equipment. In the past few years, many studies have been carried out on bearing diagnosis through datadriven methods. However, there are two practical problems. First, under actual working conditions, the lack of fault samples is a major factor that hinders the application of these methods in industrial environments. Second, there is a lack of full utilization of a priori knowledge in the current stage of methods using relational networks for fault diagnosis. It is manifested by the incompleteness of the relational network structure. To address these problems, we present a new diagnosis method based on few-shot learning, which is suitable for the environment where the data is scarce. In this method, we train the model with the data generated by the artificial damaged bearings instead of the data from the real bearing. We experimentally validate the performance improvement of the complete relational network structure. It is able to perform the few-shot learning task better. In addition, we also reduce the global feature discrepancy by introducing an attention mechanism to improve the performance of the model. And the impact of the number of layers of the attention mechanism on the model is also discussed in detail. In this paper, our model performs better under the same experimental conditions compared with other transfer learning models.
