The regulation for CO₂ emissions from vehicles have become much more stringent in recent years. These more stringent regulations request vehicle manufacturers to develop the alternative fuels for reducing exhaust emissions. The exhaust emission has many sources in vehicle. In this paper. it is discussed that the correlation of CO₂ emission and fuel economy in the LPG and retrofit LPG vehicles using FTP 75 and NEDC(ECE15+EUDC) mode. In order to investigate the affects of CO₂ emission to the fuel economy using existing formula that is carbon balance method, eliminate the emission terms of less contribute relatively to the fuel economy. Computational results are similar more than 99% comparison of the carbon balance method And CO₂ emission of LPG vehicles were low level relatively gasoline and diesel about 7~10%.

Recent settlement of the industrial society of mass production and mass consumption brings about an exhaustion of natural resources and global warming. Therefore, various researches are under way for the pursuit of resource utilization and environmental protection at the same time. In Europe and America, the remanufacturing industry has been systemically managed as a higher-value. on the other hand, In our country remanufacturing industry has not established of quality assurance system. So, This paper analyzes the common rail diesel engine remanufacturing process, also engine performance test implements to retain remanufacturing engine reliability. As well, vehicle emission performance test implements to compare used vehicle and remanufacturing vehicle. The results in this paper, in accordance with apply the remanufacturing technology to used engine almost restore with the new engine level.

Automatic test system was developed for the automobile air cleaner by means of adding the sensors and computer to the old test equipment that flow rate is controlled manually. By using the computer, the air flow rate is not only controlled automatically and compensated to standard condition in real time but also all sequence are carried out automatically. Additionally all data which are sampled during test are saved on hard disk so that it is possible to analyzing the characteristics of filter after test. Whatever it has a capability for efficiency test by variable air flow rate which is impossible in manual system
