자바 언어는 신뢰성 있는 프로그램의 개발을 위해 예외를 처리할 수 있는 명시적인 예외 처리 메커니즘을 제공한다. 따라서 신뢰성 있는 프로그램 개발을 위해서는 실행 시간에 발생 가능한 예외에 대한 적절한 처리가 매우 중요하다 본 논문에서는 신뢰성 있는 프로그램 개발을 위한 동적 예외 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 프로그래머가 효과적으로 실제 발생된 예외의 처리, 전파과정을 모니터링 할 수 있으며 이러한 기능을 이용하여 좀더 적절한 예외 처리가 가능하도록 하며 결과적으로 개발된 프로그램의 신뢰성을 항상 시킬 수 있다. 본 시스템은 사용자 옵션을 통하여 관심 있는 예외들만을 모니터링 할 수 있으며 또한 시스템의 성능 부하를 줄이기 위해 기존의 코드에 필요한 모니터링 코드만을 삽입하는 방식으로 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 실험을 통해서 그 효과를 보였다. Exception mechanism in Java allows programmers to define, throw and catch exceptional conditions. It is important for the development of reliable programs to make sure that exceptions are handled appropriately at run-time. In this paper, we develop an exception monitoring system, which can help programmers trace and handle exceptions effectively. Using this system, programmers can examine exception handling process in detail by tracing only interesting exceptions, and can handle exceptions more effectively. To reduce performance overhead, we design the system based on code instrumentation. Moreover, we show the effectiveness of the system by experiments on benchmark programs.

<P>A method for the regioselective asymmetric aldol addition of 2-alkyl allenoates with aldehydes to provide an α- or γ-adduct depending on the aldehyde pair is reported. In most cases, except enals, a mixture of a chiral bromoborane with 2-alkyl allenoates in the presence of <I>i</I>Pr<SUB>2</SUB>NEt can react with aldehydes to provide efficient γ-addition products as single isomers containing axial and central chirality. On the other hand, observations indicate that enals undergo α-addition to yield highly functionalized adducts, including an α-carbon quaternary center in high levels of diastereo- and enantioselectivity.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

<P>Conclusions: NOD in the SU was associated with END, especially during nighttime, after ischemic stroke. This suggests that treatment of sleep-disordered breathing could be a modifiable factor to possibly reduce the risk of neurological worsening among acute stroke patients.</P>
Nocturnal Desaturation in the Stroke Unit Is Associated With Wake-Up Ischemic Stroke

<P>Background and Purpose-Wake-up stroke (WUS) represents a quarter of all ischemic strokes and may be a specific subgroup. Nocturnal desaturation secondary to sleep-disordered breathing is an independent risk factor for stroke, but the association between nocturnal desaturation and WUS remains unclear. We investigated the relationship between nocturnal desaturation using oxygen desaturation index and WUS in patients with acute stroke in the stroke unit. Methods-A total of 298 patients admitted for acute ischemic stroke to the stroke unit between July 2013 and May 2015 were enrolled. The oxygen desaturation index was calculated using pulse oximetry data sampled every 1 minute during 9 hours on the first night (10:00 PM-7:00 AM) of the stroke unit admission, and nocturnal desaturation was defined as an oxygen desaturation index of 5 at least per hour. We compared the clinical characteristics and nocturnal desaturations between patients with and without WUS. Results-Among all patients (age, 67.7 +/- 12.6 years; male, 54.4%), 26.5% patients had WUS. The proportion of nocturnal desaturation was significantly greater in patients admitted with WUS (29.1% versus 12.3%, P=0.001). The age, sex, risk factors except for hyperlipidemia, stroke severity, and stroke mechanisms were similar between the 2 groups. After adjustment for covariates, it was found that nocturnal desaturation was significantly more common in the WUS group (odds ratio, 3.25; 95% confidence interval, 1.63-6.46). Conclusions-Nocturnal desaturation was more frequently observed in patients admitted with WUS during the first night in the stroke unit. This suggests that nocturnal desaturation is a possible modifiable risk factor for the occurrence of WUS.</P>
