We present a rapid method for the determination of Cs, Sr, and Ba, heat generators found in highly active liquid wastes, by gas-pressurized extraction chromatography (GPEC) using a column containing a cationexchange resin. GPEC is a microscale column chromatographic technique that uses a constant flow rate of solvent (0.07 mL/min) with pressurized nitrogen gas supplied through a valve. In particular, because this method uses a small sample volume (a few hundred microliters), it produces less chemical waste and allows for faster separation compared to traditional column chromatography. In this study, we evaluated the separation of Cs, Sr, and Ba using GPEC. The eluate from the column (GPEC or conventional column chromatography) was quantitatively analyzed using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry to measure the column recovery and precision. The column reproducibility of the proposed GPEC system (RSDs of recoveries) ranged from 2.7 to 4.1 %, and the column recoveries for the three elements ranged from 72 to 98% when aqueous HCl was used as the eluent. The GPEC results are slightly different in efficiency and separation resolution compared to those of conventional column chromatography because of the differences in the eluent flow rate as well as the internal diameter and length of the column. However, the two methods had similar recoveries for Cs and Sr, and the precision of GPEC was improved by two-fold. Remarkably, the solvent volume required for GPEC analysis was five times lower than that of the conventional method, and the total analysis time was 11 times shorter.

Two new species, Stericta jaeshini Kim & Bae, sp. nov. and S. atroaurantiaca Kim & Bae, sp. nov. are described from Laos and Cambodia. About 50 species of the genus Stericta have been recorded from Southeast Asia, but it has not been recorded to occur in Laos and Cambodia previously. We record the presence of this genus in these two countries for the first time in this study. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of examined species are provided.
Taxonomic notes on the genus Hypsopygia H?bner, 1825 (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae, Pyralinae) in Korea

The genus Hypsopygia was established by H?bner, 1825, with type species Phalaena costalis Fabricius, 1775. Hypsopygia is characterized by the elongated uncus and valva, and pointed saccus in the male genitalia. It consists of 105 described species (Nuss et al., 2003–2024) in the world, and 11 species have been recorded in Korea (Kim & Paek, 2020; Shin et al., 2023). In this study, we reported one newly recorded species in Korea. Illustrations of adults provided, with information of host plants of all examined species.
New species of the genus Olethreutes (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae: Olethreutinae) in Korea

The genus Olethreutes, established by H?bner in 1822, is based on the type species Phalaena arcuella Clerk, 1759. Olethreutes is one of the largest group within the family Tortricidae, with more than 130 species worldwide. As of now, about 31 species of the genus Olethreutes have been reported in the Korean peninsula. The proposes of this study is to describe one new species, with three similar species form Korea.
Taxonomic study of subfamily Epipaschiinae (Lepidoptera, Pyralidae) in Korea

The subfamily Epipaschiinae belongs to the family Pyralidae in the superfamily Pyraloidea. Moths of the epipaschiine are mostly medium-sized, and around 705 species have been described worldwide, with most of them distributed in Tropical and Temperate Regions (Nuss et al., 2023). In this study, 24 species of 10 genera of the subfamily Epipaschiinae are identified. All of the species are accompanied by distributions, host plants, and collection site information. Illustrations of adults, male and female genitalia are provided.

The subtribe Olethreutae Diakonoff (1973) which is one of the large subtribe in the subfamily Olethreutinae in the Tortricidae. Diakonoff classified the Olethreutae into a total of 27 genera and three genus groups: Olethreutes, Hedya, and Apotomis. According to the check list of insects from Korea (KSAE & ESK, 2021), 62 species from 11 genera of Olethreutae have been recorded in Korea. This study, provided with redescriptions, distribution, host plants, along with illustrations of adults, male and female genitalia are given.
