Reduction of graphene oxide still is one of discussion subjects in scientific communities. The use of toxicchemicals like hydrazine is a well-known procedure for graphene oxide reduction. In this paper, a newecofriendly, fully scalable, and cheap approach with easy procedure on industrial scale for producingreduced graphene oxide is introduced. The studied method was based on successful reduction ofgraphene oxide by urtica dioica leaves’ extract in 1 h at 90 C. Raman spectroscopy evidenced thesignificant removal of considerable oxygen functional groups in graphene oxide after reduction. Improving corrosion properties by helping the functionalization ability of u. dioica leaves’ extract forsuperior dispersion in polyurethane coatings was studied as well. Electrochemical impedancespectroscopy measurements along with salt spray exposure test revealed the remarkable role ofresultant reduced graphene oxide in protective function of polyurethane coatings before and afteraccelerated weathering condition. Impedance value in low frequency diagrams reveals more than 99%protection efficiency indicating the great role of u. dioica in barrier property of PU coatings afteraccelerated weathering condition.

The main objective of this study is to investigate how the weathering of underneath electro deposition(ED) layer affects the overall stone-chipping behavior of an automotive coating system. The ED-coatedpanels were exposed to natural weathering condition before being further coated with top layers. It wasfound that the underneath layer weathering has a deleterious effect on the chipping and adhesion of thewhole coating system. The chemistry and morphology of the weathered ED layer demonstrated that thechalky-like ED surface could not provide a desired foundation for top layers, leading to a coatingstructure collapse.

In this paper, we review the utility-based generalization of the Shannon entropy and Kullback-Leibler information measure as the U-entropy and the U-relative entropy that was introduced by Friedman et al. (2007). Then, we derive some relations between the U-relative entropy and other information measures based on a parametric family of utility functions.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the specificity, sensitivity, cost, and turn-around time of three methods of gene polymorphism analysis and to study the relationship between IL28B rs12979860 and SVR rate to pegIFN-α/RVB therapy among patients with chronic hepatitis C. Methods: A total of 100 samples from chronic hepatitis C patients were analyzed in parallel using the three methods: direct sequencing, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR), amplification refractory mutation system (ARMS)-PCR. Results: The different profiles for IL28B rs12979860 alleles (CC, CT, and TT) obtained with PCR-RFLP, ARMS-PCR, and direct sequencing were consistent among the three methods. Prevalence of rs12979860 genotypes CC, CT and TT in HCV genotype 1a was 10(19.6%), 35(68.6%), and six (11.8%), respectively, and in HCV genotype 31, it was 13(26.5%), 31(63.3%), and five (10.2%), respectively. No significant difference was seen between rs12979860 genotype and HCV genotype (p = 0.710). Conclusion: Screening by ARMS - PCR SNOP detection represents the most efficient and reliable method to determine HCV polymorphisms in routine clinical practice.
