<B>Abstract</B><P>The microstructural analysis of the dehydrogenation products of the Ca(BH4)2-MgH2 composite was performed using transmission electron microscopy. It was found that nanocrystalline CaB6 crystallites formed as a dehydrogenation product throughout the areas where the signals of Ca and Mg were simultaneously detected, in addition to relatively coarse Mg crystallites. The uniform distribution of the nanocrystalline CaB6 crystallites appears to play a key role in the rehydrogenation of the dehydrogenation products, which implies that microstructure is a crucial factor determining the reversibility of reactive hydride composites.</P>

Improvements are made to existing primitive cell volume measurement method to provide a real-time analysis capability for the phase analysis of nanocrystalline materials. Simplification is introduced in the primitive cell volume calculation leading to fast and reliable method for nano-phase identification and is applied to the phase analysis of Mo-Si-N nanocoating layer. In addition, comparison is made between real-time and film measurements for their accuracy of calculated primitive cell volume values and factors governing the accuracy of the method are determined. About 5% accuracy in primitive cell determination is obtained from camera length calibration and this technique is used to investigate the cell volume variation in WC-TiC core-shell microstructure. In addition to chemical compositional variation in core-shell type structure, primitive cell volume variation reveals additional information on lattice coherency strain across the interface.

The effect of compact structure both on phase transition kinetics and on the densification during sintering of n-TiO₂ compacts has been investigated. The compact structures varied from loose powder pack to very high density using different compaction pressures. The compact structure is verified to significantly affect phase transition kinetics and densification during sintering. The onset temperature of anatase → ruble phase transition decreased with the increase of the compact density. The highest density compact of 86.9% showed phase transition at the lowest temperature and no detrimental effect on densification. The compact structure, i.e., the coordination number of particles in the compacts, is considered to significantly affect both the phase transition kinetics and the subsequent densification during the sintering of n-TiO₂ compacts.

최근 사회가 다원화, 복잡화됨에 따라 재난유형이 다양화·대형화되고 있어 체계적이고 효율적인 재난관리체계를 구축해야 할 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 재난관리체계를 제시하기 위하여 재난관리체계의 운영효율화 요인인 유기적 통합성, 선제적 학습성, 연계적 협력성을 주요 변수로 하여 재난관련 공무원의 대부분을 차지하고 있는 소방공무원들을 대상으로 지방자치단체 재난관리체계의 실태를 분석하고, 영향요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 유기적 통합성(β=0.362)이 운영 효율성에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 그 다음으로 연계적 협력성(β=0.311), 선제적 학습성(β=0.208)순으로 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 재난관리체계의 운영 효율성에 유기적 통합성이 가장 중요한 요인으로 작용한다는 것을 시사한다. As our society is getting diversified and complicated, the effective operation of disaster management plan are becoming more and more important. Thus, we need to construct more systematic and efficient disaster management system. So, this research has analyzed factors of efficient disaster management system. For this purpose, practical research on disaster management system has been conducted, classifying factors into organic integrity, anticipative studying, and linked cooperation. As the result, organic integrity (β=0.362) had the strongest impact on effective operation of disaster management plan, and the next were linked cooperation (β=0.311) and anticipative studying (β=0.208). This suggests that obtaining effectiveness of organic integrity is the priority step to construct more efficient disaster management system.

In this study, the performance and emission characteristics of a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) engine converted from a diesel engine were examined by using mixer system and liquid propane injection (LPi) system. A compression ratio of 21 for the base diesel engine, was modified to 8, 8.5, 9 and 9.5. The engine performance and emissions characteristics are analyzed by investigating engine power, brake mean effective pressure (BMEP), brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), volumetric efficienry, CO, THC and NOx. Experimental results showed that the LPi system generated higher power and lower emissions than the conventional mixer fuel supply method.

최근 사회가 다원화, 복잡화됨에 따라 재난유형이 다양화·대형화되고 있어 체계적이고 효율적인 재난관리시스템을 구축해야 할 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 효율적인 재난관리체계를 제시하기 위하여 재난관리체계의 운영 효율화 요인인 유기적 통합성, 선제적 학습성, 연계적 협력성을 주요 변수로 하여 재난관리체계를 분석하였다. 특히 우리나라 재난관리체계의 실제 운용사례를 재난관리 선진국인 미국과 일본의 사례와 비교·분석함으로써 시사점을 도출하고, 우리나라 재난관리체계가 갖고 있는 문제점을 파악하여 효율적 운영방안을 제시하였다. As societies become more diversified and complex, the types of disaster are also become diversified and large-sized, and the effective operation of disaster management plan is required both national and local governments. Thus, this study analyzed the operation of disaster management system using factors such as organic integrity, anticipative learnability, and connective cooperation. To suggest the effective operation of disaster plan, comparison of disasters among the United States, Japan, and Korea was conducted using those three variables, and some implications were proposed.
