본 연구에서는 사출공장의 생산관리를 위한 정보시스템 구축사례를 소개한다. 제품의 효율적인 생산을 위해서는 영업과 수주에서부터 원청업체에 납품할 때까지의 전 생산과정과 관련된 정보를 체계적으로 관리하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사출공장을 대상으로 수주, 생산, 납품, 재고 등과 관련된 전 정보를 체계적으로 관리하여, 생산 계획 및 현황의 관리와 이에 연계된 영업, 구매, 총무, 납품 등의 관리가 원활하고 효율적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 하는 통합 생산정보시스템을 구축한다. In this paper, a case study is introduced on the development of an information system for production management in the injection molding factory. For the systematic management of the information derived from the whole production process, an integrated and computerized information system is needed. In this paper, an integrated information system of production management for the W company is developed to manage the whole information related with make-to-order, production, delivery, and inventory, and so forth.

In this paper, a case study is introduced on the development of an inventory management system for the textile industry. For the low-cost and high-efficient production, a systematic management is needed from make-to-order to delivery. In this paper, an integrated inventory management system for the D company is developed to manage the whole information related with make-to-order, production, delivery, and inventory, and so forth. 본 연구에서는 섬유산업의 재고관리를 위한 정보시스템 구축사례를 소개한다. D 섬유회사를 대상으로 수주, 생산, 납품 및 재고등과 관련된 전 정보를 체계적으로 관리하여, 수주 및 생산 계획을 위한 가공능력분석 또는 납기를 지킬 수 있도록 하는 생산일정 계획 등의 의사결정이 합리적으로 될 수 있도록 하는 통합 재고정보 관리시스템을 구축한다.

This paper considers a transporter scheduling problem to determine how many transporters are needed, and when and which transporter delivers the blocks from their pick-up plant to delivery plant, simultaneously. The transporters are special vehicles used to deliver the heavy blocks from one plant to the other plant in shipyards. The objective of the problem is to minimize the number of transporters and total completion time of block transportation in order. Two mathematical models for optimal solution is derived and meta heuristic algorithms based on the genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper. The performances of the algorithms are evaluated with several randomly generated experimental examples.

This paper considers a restricted non-identical parallel machine scheduling problem with sequence and machine dependent setup times. The objective of this problem is to determine the allocation of jobs and the scheduling of machines to minimize the makespan. A mathematical model for optimal solution is derived. An in-depth analysis of the model shows that it is very complicated and difficult to obtain optimal solutions as the problem size becomes large. Therefore, two meta-heuristic algorithms based on ant colony system and genetic algorithm are proposed. The performance of the proposed algorithms are evaluated using randomly generated several examples.

Cross docking is a logistics management concept in which items delivered to a terminal by inbound trucks are immediately sorted out, routed and loaded into outbound trucks for delivery to customers. Two main advantages by introducing a cross docking terminal are to consolidate multiple smaller shipment into full truck load and remove storage and order picking processes to save up logistics costs related to warehousing and transportation costs. This research considers the scheduling problem of trucks in the cross docking terminals with multi-door in an inbound and outbound dock, respectively. The trucks sequentially deal with the storage process at the one of inbound doors and the shipping process at the one of the outbound doors. A mathematical model for an optimal solution is derived, and genetic algorithms with two different chromosome representations are proposed. To verify performance of the GA algorithms, we compare the solutions of GAs with the optimal solutions and the best solution using randomly generated several examples.

This paper considers a parallel-machine scheduling problem with job release times and sequence-dependent setup times. The objective of this problem is to determine the allocation policy of jobs and the scheduling policy of machines so as to minimize the weighted sum of setup times, delay times, and tardy times. A mathematical model for optimal solution is derived and a meta heuristic algorithm based on the improved ant colony system is proposed in this paper. The performance of the meta heuristic algorithm is evaluated through compare with optimal solutions using randomly generated several examples.

This paper considers a scheduling problem of inbound and outbound trucks in parallel docking terminals. Parallel docking is a logistics management concept in which items delivered to a terminal by inbound trucks are immediately sorted out, routed and loaded into outbound trucks for delivery to customers. A mathematical model for optimal solution is derived and the genetic algorithm is suggested in this paper to schedule the trucks in a parallel docking terminal such that minimize total operation time. The performance of the genetic algorithm is evaluated through comparing with optimal solutions using randomly generated several examples.

A mathematical model for finding an optimal solution is derived, and genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed to find a solution in a reasonable computation time. The performance of the GA is evaluated using randomly generated several examples.

This paper considers the inbound and outbound truck scheduling problem in a cross docking terminal. The unloading process from inbound trucks and loading process to outbound trucks are assumed to be performed within a time window. If some items are not able to be loaded to their scheduled outbound trucks within the time window, they are stored in the terminal and shipped using the truck visiting the next time window. The objective of this paper is to schedule inbound and outbound trucks to minimize the number of items unable to ship within the time window. A mathematical model for an optimal solution is derived, and a rule-based local search heuristic algorithm and genetic algorithm (GA) are proposed. The performance of the algorithms are evaluated using randomly generated several examples.
