Research on Image Segmentation Algorithm and Performance of Power Insulator Based on Adaptive Region Growing

        Liu Xingmou,Tian Hao,Wang Yan,Jiang Fan,Zhang Chenyang 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.6

With the widespread application of power inspections, the problem of insulator segmentation in complex environments has become a current challenge. An insulator image segmentation method based on adaptive region growing and the adaptive Otsu algorithm is proposed. The 8 neighborhood pixels are used for region growth, and the segmentation results are obtained through morphological processing. Finally, the original segmented image, dynamic threshold segmentation, global threshold segmentation, and adaptive region growth are quantitatively analyzed. For the result of natural lighting image segmentation, the accuracy of adaptive region growth segmentation is improved by 14.23% for the original segmentation. For the results of infrared image segmentation, the accuracy of adaptive region growing segmentation is improved by 8.13% compared with the original segmentation. Experimental results show that adaptive region growth threshold segmentation can extract contour information more completely, which has certain advantages compared with traditional threshold segmentation. It provides an important basis for the study of insulator fault diagnosis and infrared insulator temperature fi eld feature extraction.

Current state of research about acupuncture for the treatment of COVID-19: A scoping review

        Chen Chen,Jie Zhan,Hao Wen,Xiaojing Wei,Lu Ding,Chenyang Tao,Cui Li,Peiming Zhang,Yuyuan Tang,Jing-chun Zeng,Li-ming Lu 한국한의학연구원 2021 Integrative Medicine Research Vol.10 No.-

Background Since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), acupuncture has been widely used in the treatment of COVID-19. The research community has responded rapidly and has already published many research articles about this topic. Methods We searched PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library as well as CNKI, Wanfang and VIP from January 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021. The dates of publication, language of publication, methodological characteristics and the key findings were analyzed separately. The data are presented as bar graphs, structured tables and figures. Results In this scoping review, 16 research articles were included: 7 case reports, 6 observational studies, 1 review, 1 RCT and 1 nonrandomized clinical trial. The majority of the articles (81.3%) were published by Chinese scholars, 12.5% articles were by scholars in the United States, and 6.3% articles were by scholars in Iran. The included studies reported that acupuncture could alleviate the symptoms of COVID-19 patients, shorten their hospitalization days, and is effective for the elderly. There were no side effects reported. The most frequent acupoints used were LI4, PC6, ST36 and KI3. They reported many obstacles in implementing acupuncture therapy for treating COVID-19 patients. Conclusion Acupuncture has a good effect for the treatment of COVID-19, but high-quality evidence support is still lacking. Coupled with the difficulties that acupuncturists experienced during the process of treatment, the promotion of acupuncture treatment for COVID-19 faces many obstacles. Bi@H-TiO2/B-C3N4 heterostructure for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen generation activity under visible light

        Junfeng Yang,Yuyang Wu,Yanhui Dong,Hao Cui,Chenyang Shi,Hang Sun,Shengyan Yin 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.111 No.-

Herein, a ternary Bi@H-TiO2/B-C3N4 type II heterostructure is successfully designed and prepared viametal Bi as cocatalyst for photocatalytic H2 generation. As expected, under k > 300 nm light, the highestphotocatalytic hydrogen production rate (HPR) of Bi@H-TiO2/B-C3N4 is up to 223.08 lmol g1 h1. Excitingly, under visible light (k > 400 nm), the highest HPR of Bi@H-TiO2/B-C3N4 is increased to18.84 lmol g1 h1, which is about 67.3 times, 37.7 times and 6.8 times as high as that of H-TiO2, BC3N4and H-TiO2/B-C3N4 under the same conditions, respectively. Moreover, the electrochemical impedancespectroscopy and transient photocurrent tests manifest that the interface resistance of Bi@HTiO2/B-C3N4 composite decreases and the photocurrent density increases after loading metal Bi. Theseresults indicate that loading metal Bi as cocatalyst (providing more electron trapping sites) is beneficialto improve photocatalytic activity in the type II heterostructure composite. And the electron transferdirections (B-C3N4 ? H-TiO2 ? Bi or B-C3N4 ? Bi) are proved by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopytest. Therefore, the Bi@H-TiO2/B-C3N4 photocatalyst with strong visible light absorption is expected to bea promising candidate in photocatalytic fields under visible light.

Characterization of Squamosa Promoter Binding Protein-LIKE genes in wheat

        Bingnan Wang,Shuaifeng Geng,Di Wang,Nan Feng,Dongdong Zhang,Liang Wu,Chenyang Hao,Xueyong Zhang,Aili Li,Long Mao 한국식물학회 2015 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.58 No.4

Common wheat (Triticum aestivum) is an allohexaploid (AABBDD), with Triticum urartu (AA) and Aegilops tauschii (DD) as its A and D genome donors. Squamosa Promoter Binding Protein-Like (SPL) genes play important roles in plant development; however, a systematic study of this gene family in wheat is still lacking. Here, we mined the wheat genomes for SPLs and found 19 SPL genes each from the T. urartu and Ae. tauschii genomes. We also identified 58 SPL genes from the hexaploid wheat genome. We then compared the conservation and divergence of SPLs between the two diploid species in gene structures, tissuespecific expression patterns and responses to salt stress, drought and low temperature. For functional studies, two hexaploid wheat SPLs, TaSPL3 (with miR156 site mutated) and TaSPL6, were overexpressed in Arabidopsis and found to be involved in flowering time and biomass accumulation. In addition, a mutant allele (TaSPL6-D R ) with a 47 bp duplication upstream of the SBP domain was found to be associated with maturity date and grain number per spike among landraces from a Chinese wheat mini-core collection. Collectively, our work provides useful knowledge on the sequences and functions of wheat SPL genes that may help future functional studies and molecular breeding.
