A controlled quantum dense coding scheme is investigated with a four-particle non-maximal quantum channel. The amount of classical information is shown to be capable of being controlledby the controllers through adjustments of the local measurement angles and todepend on the coefficients of the quantum channel; in addition, the four particles are distributed in two inverse ways in such an quantum channel. A restricted condition for distributing the particles to realize quantum dense coding in an arbitrary (N+2)-particle quantum channel is proposed. A two-receiver quantum dense coding scheme and an N-receiver quantum dense coding scheme, in the case of non-symmetric Hilbert spaces of the particles of the quantum channel, are investigated in this paper. A sender can send his messages to many receivers simultaneously. The scheme can be applied to quantum secret sharing and controlled quantum dense coding.

Using full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method, we investigated the effects of intrinsic vacancies on electronic and magnetic properties in graphene-like ZnO nanosheets. The results show that the oxygen vacancy (VO) has no influence on magnetism in ZnO nanosheet, whereas the Zn vacancy (VZn) lead to spin polarization of the nanostructures with a total magnetic moment of 2.0mB due to O-2p and Zn-3d hybridization. When the distance of two VZn defects increases to 6.499 A, the system shows an intriguing half-metallic character with 100% spin-polarized carriers due to O(2p)-Zn(3d)-O(2p) coupling chain between two VZn defects.

Weak ampli¯cation is an interesting phenomenon. In this paper we show an example that the imaginary weak ampli¯cation e®ect can be only related to the classical probability distribution of the measured quantity. A general result for any two orthogonal postselections and any meter state is also given.
Controlled Secure Direct Communication by Using GHZ Entangled State

We present a controlled secure direct communication protocol by using Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) entangled state via swapping quantum entanglement and local unitary operations. Since messages transferred only by using local operations and a public channel after entangled states are successfully distributed, this protocol can protect the communication against a destroying-travel-qubit-type attack. This scheme can also be generalized to a multi-party controlsystem.

We present a quantum dialogue protocol by using the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state. In this paper, we point out that the ‘quantum dialogue’ communication scheme recently introduced by Nguyen can be eavesdropped on under an intercept-and-resend attack. We also give a revised control mode to detect this attack. Hence, within the present version two users can exchange their secret messages securely and simultaneously, and the efficiency of information transmission can be successfully increased. We propose a scheme to teleport an arbitrary and unknown three-particle state by using a nonmaximally four-particle entangled state and a non-maximally three-particle GHZ state from a sender to either one of two receivers. Objective: To explore the mechanism of Toll-like receptor (TLR4) inhibition in the delay of formation of atherosclerosis by herb-partition moxibustion. Method: Seventy-five rabbits were randomly assigned to one of five groups: blank, atherosclerosis (AS) model, direct moxibustion, herb-partition moxibustion, and drug treatment. With the exception of the blank group, all rabbits were given a high-fat diet in addition to immunologic injury to create the AS model. The experiments were carried out for 16 weeks, at which time the aorta was removed from each rabbit. Immunohistochemical methods were used to detect the gray level of the aortic TLR4 to observe the immunologic competence of its antigens. Fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the expression of TLR4 messenger RNA (mRNA) in the aorta. Results: The gray-scale value of TLR4 and the TLR4 mRNA expression significantly decreased (p < 0.05) in the direct moxibustion, herb-partition moxibustion, and drug treatment groups. Furthermore, the effects of the herb-partition moxibustion and drug treatment were superior to those of the direct moxibustion. Conclusion: Herb-partition moxibustion inhibits aortic TLR4 activity and mRNA expression,showing that herb-partition moxibustion delays the formation of atherosclerosis through the inhibition of TLR4 expression.
