According to Casino Regulation two licenses are given as every 300,000 foreign tourists increase. This regulation will be rational when increase in casino visitors is correlated with foreign tourists. Thus, this study attempts to examine whether foreign tourist arrivals are correlated with casino visitors and to suggest improvement of casino licensing system. The result of correlation analysis indicates that any statistical significance did not exist between foreign tourists and casino visitors. In other words, the number of casino visitors would not significantly increase as foreign tourists increase. Therefore, any revision or improvement should be made for the current regulation of casino licensing system. Korean casinos have been oversupplied as compared to demand for casino since casino visitors have not been increased for the past 10 years. The government needs to adopt a ceiling system which limits the number of casinos or give casino license to the company which is able to construct a resort-type casino in a special area such as free trade zone. International trend on casino implies that operations with only table games could not create new demand for casinos any more. Korean casinos highly dependent upon table games will not attract new market, such as family or ordinary tourists. Therefore, it is suggested that the government should give license to a resort-type casino in order to create new casino demand.

Despite of numerous research on motivation in the field of tourism, a little research was conducted for identifying motivations of film festival visitors and segmenting them with distinct subgroups for practical marketing strategies. In this respect, this study aims to identify the underlying dimensions of motivations for film festival visitors, using a factor analysis; to segment the film festival market, using a cluster analysis based on derived motivation factors; and to examine any differences between market segments with respect to socio-demographic and some behavioral variables. The results of this study show that six underlying motivation dimensions were derived: novelty, escape, family togetherness, cultural exploration, socialization, and event attraction. A cluster analysis indicates that three distinctive segments were identified: multi-purpose movie festival seekers, ordinary movie festival seekers, and movie mania festival seekers. These three segments were significantly different with respect to age, income, and occupation. Marketing implication was presented in the conclusion section based the results.
