세륨 금속이온을 이용한 Bisphenol A의 산화분해에 대한 반응속도 연구

내분비계 장애물질인 Bisphenol A는 인체에 피부염을 발생시키고, 빛에 의해 지속적으로 재발하는 광알레르기성의 독성을 가지며 극소량으로 성 호르몬의 이상을 유발시키는 등 생태계에 미치는 영향이 매우 큰 난분해성 물질로 알려져 있다. 최근 이러한 유기물을 포함하는 난분해성 물질에 대한 처리방법으로 금속이온을 매개체로 이용하는 전기화학적 매개산화와 오존 매개산화 공정이 새롭게 대두되고 있다. 이 공정들은 매개체인 금속이온이 상온·상압하에서 전기와 오존에 의해 강력한 산화제로 산화되어 유기물을 분해하고 자신은 환원되어 재생됨으로써 다시 전기와 오존에 의한 산화로 유기물을 분해시킬 수있는 특성을 갖는다. 이러한 분해 메카니즘을 갖는 전기화학적 매개산화와 오존 매개산화 공정은 유기물을 최종적으로 이산화탄소와 물로 분해시키는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 전기화학적 매개산화 및 오존 매개산화에서 금속이온에 의한 난분해성 물질의 분해거동을 이해하기 위하여 매개체인 금속이온으로 세륨(Ⅳ)을 이용하여 Bisphenol A 제거시 세륨에 의한 분해 특성 및 처리 최적조건을 알아보기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. Bisphenol A의 분해실험은 세륨(Ⅳ) 금속이온의 농도, 온도 및 pH와 같은 반응변수를 각기 달리하여 행하였으며 반응시간에 따른 용액 내 총유기탄소(TOC)를 측정하여 세륨(Ⅳ)에 의한 Bisphenol A의 분해특성을 알아보았다.

<P>As part of our 3-phase program to develop a high resolution 1 GHz LTS/HTS NMR magnet, a system composed of a 600 MHz LTS background NMR magnet and an HTS insert operating in the range 75 to 100 MHz has been built and tested. Operated at 4.2 K, immersed in a bath of liquid helium, the Phase 2 LTS/HTS magnet, the LTS magnet in persistent mode and the HTS insert powered by a stable supply, generated an NMR frequency of 692.2 MHz (16.26 T): the LTS magnet, with 234.4 A, at 588.7 MHz (13.83 T); and the HTS insert, with 115.95 A, at 103.5 MHz (2.43 T). This paper presents results of the magnet operation during test geared to the design of room temperature shim coils and ferromagnetic tiles. Magnetization effects of the HTS insert on field distribution are also reported.</P>

Freshwater plants of Central Asian Mountains (a global biodiversity hotspot) remain poorly studied. Weperformed extensive field inventory of vascular plants in different types of waterbodies in northeasternKyrgyzstan. By joint morphological and genetic analysis, we revealed a new, previously undetected,hybrid (Utricularia macrorhiza U. vulgaris) and demonstrated that Stuckenia amblyphylla should not betreated as a separate species, being rather a lineage of S. filiformis. Besides these new data for globalbiodiversity, we report three new taxa for Central Asia (Lemna japonica, Potamogeton berchtoldii P. pusillus and Sparganium rothertii). We listed seven new species for Kyrgyzstan, that are not rare in CentralAsia (Caulinia minor, Lemna gibba, Najas major, Potamogeton berchtoldii, P. nodosus, Spirodela polyrhiza,Zannichellia repens), and provided new data on distribution of nine species in the country. We concludethat focused multi-approach studies of aquatic vascular plants in Central Asia should be continued.

Floristic subdivision of the northern part of the Kuril archipelago (Russian Far East) remains controversial. Such uncertainty in biogeographical subdivision could be caused by insufficient floristic data dueto poor accessibility of mainly uninhabited northern Kuril islands. We aimed to explore the flora of thelargest uninhabited northern Kuril island Onekotan to clarify its position in floristic subdivision. All the19 species that we added to the known flora of Onekotan island grow on Paramushir and often on someother northern Kurils. Additionally, we revealed two species (Minuartia rubella and Poa lanata) that arenew for the whole Kuril archipelago. Our findings demonstrated that floristic similarity between Onekotanand the both large northern continental Kuril islands (Shumshu and Paramushir) is higher than itwas demonstrated before. However, discussion of floristic subdivision of the Northern Kurils is prematureunless all the islands are sufficiently studied.

The central part of the Kuril Archipelago (the Russian Far East) remains the least studied due to its pooraccessibility. Such insufficient floristic data lead to uncertainties in the floristic subdivision of the KurilIslands. We aimed to explore the vascular flora of the Simushir island, the largest one among the MiddleKurils. We revealed 24 new species for the flora of Simushir or Middle Kurils in general, including threespecies (Callitriche anceps, Carex meyeriana, and Ribes nigrum) that are new for the whole Kuril Archipelago. One-third of species new for Simushir are alien. Almost all the rest of the new species areassociated with special types of habitats and can be found only after a detailed study of the island. Wereported six new aquatic species for the Middle Kurils, refuting the earlier idea of extreme poverty of theMiddle Kurils’ aquatic flora. We found no grounds for drawing a floristic border within the Northern andMiddle Kurils, as the floristic similarity between Onekotan (oceanic Northern Kurils), continentalNorthern Kurils, and Simushir has the same magnitude.
