        Microstructural Characterization and Properties of Al/Cu/Steel Diffusion Bonded Joints

        We prepared Al/Cu/steel composite with a gradient structure using a vacuum hot-pressed diffusion method and investigated the Al/Cu/steel interface. The results show that a supersaturated solid solution with a thickness of about 2 um formed in the Cu/steel diffusion zone. Two kinds of intermetallic compounds, Cu9Al4 adjacent to the Cu side and CuAl2 adjacent to the Al side, formed at the interface of the Al/Cu. The thickness of the intermetallic compound layer appeared to greatly affect conductivity and tensile strength. The conductivity and the tensile strength decreased from 36.9 MS/m to 24.2 MS/m, and from 70.9MPa to 40.7MPa, respectively,while the thickness increased from 3.5 um to 23 um. The fractures occurred between a supersaturated solid solution (Al in Cu) and Cu9Al4, or between Cu9Al4 and CuAl2.

        Morphology-Controlled Synthesis and Electrochemical Characteristics of Fe2O3 Nanorods

        In this work, highly uniform single crystal Fe2O3 nanorods have been synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method in the presence of dihydrogen phosphate ions. Phosphate ions were speculated capping to the sidewalls of Fe2O3 nanocrystals, and resulted in the anisotropic growth of hematite crystals along their [006] zone axis. Fe2O3 nanorods with various aspect ratios have been realized by applying different phosphate concentration of 0.1–0.4 mM. The electrochemical properties of Fe2O3 nanorods showed that the samples with the smallest aspect ratio possessed superior specific capacitance and stability. It was speculated that the larger specific area of the Fe2O3 nanorods with the shortest axial length facilitated the efficient access of electrolyte ions to the electrode surface, and thus would aid in delivering the high pseudocapacitance. These results provide a promising route to obtain the desired hematite-based energy storage materials.

        Postpartum depression and its correlates in middle‐class women in Hunan, China

        Postpartum depression (PPD) has a negative impact on both infants and women. The middle-class group is rapidly expanding with increased but unmet psychological needs. To determine the risk and its correlates of PPD in middle-class women in Hunan, China. A sample of 306 middle-class puerperae from obstetric wards of a large general hospital was enrolled in the study. Our results showed 55.6% middleclass women were suspected PPD. Related risk factors included a history of complications, pregnancy stress, subjective support, and interaction effect between objective support and negative coping. The protective factors included objective support and an interaction effect between subjective support and negative coping. Early assessment and individualized guidance in terms of social support and coping to identify and prevent PPD in this population are required.
