Double-barrier magnetic tunnel junctions (DBMTJs) were prepared from Co(75 nm)/Al2O3(2.3 nm)/ Co(5 nm)/Al2O3(2.3 nm)/Co(50 nm) sputtering pentalayer films. The ac electrical properties of asdeposited DBMTJs and those annealed in a vacuum at 100e350 C for 30 min were then investigated using a complex impedance spectroscopic technique. The ac impedance responses as a function of annealing temperature were further analyzed based on Maxwell's layered dielectric barrier and Maxwell eWagner capacitor models after considering the DBMTJs as having double-capacitor-type structures. The effect of thermal annealing on the ac transport behavior of the DBMTJs was interpreted by examining the equivalent electric circuits fitted to Nyquist plots of each different sample. The effects were found to be due to changes in the structural characteristics in both bulk and interface morphologies of Co and Al2O3 layers. The structural morphology determined the different ac transport modes that occurred in the DBMTJs.
Components Constituting the Audit Expectation Gap: The Vietnamese Case

The present study seeks to investigate the degree of awareness that constitutes the audit gap expectations (AEG) to determine which audit responsibilities can be narrowed or even eliminated. The author had surveyed a sample comprising four groups including auditors, auditees, the financial community, and other interest groups. In this survey, 1400 questionnaires were sent to the respondents, and the total number of responses was 454. The collected data was processed using statistical software SPSS, version 22. The Chi-Square test was used to analyze the effect of professional differences on AEG. The results of this study indicate that AEG cannot be eliminated due to the occupational impact of each survey group (about 46%), but it can be narrowed down to 54%, including a reduction of 11% in the knowledge gap (lack of public knowledge), 13% in the reasonable expectations gap (unqualified audit quality), 30% in the deficient standards gap (limited auditing standards). These results could be attained by improving training, communicating, and adding more responsibilities. This is the first study that provides another method of measuring the contribution of the knowledge gap through professional differences and professional gaps that make up each of the AEG’s components.
Separation of Text and Non-text in Document Layout Analysis using a Recursive Filter

A separation of text and non-text elements plays an important role in document layout analysis. A number of approaches have been proposed but the quality of separation result is still limited due to the complex of the document layout. In this paper, we present an efficient method for the classification of text and non-text components in document image. It is the combination of whitespace analysis with multi-layer homogeneous regions which called recursive filter. Firstly, the input binary document is analyzed by connected components analysis and whitespace extraction. Secondly, a heuristic filter is applied to identify non-text components. After that, using statistical method, we implement the recursive filter on multi-layer homogeneous regions to identify all text and non-text elements of the binary image. Finally, all regions will be reshaped and remove noise to get the text document and non-text document. Experimental results on the ICDAR2009 page segmentation competition dataset and other datasets prove the effectiveness and superiority of proposed method.
DYNAMIC MODELING OF FRICTION CHARACTERISTIC BETWEEN PILE AND SOIL

The mechanical properties, fracture behaviors and micro-mechnism of damage have been studied for three spheroidized steels. It is shown that void formation and growth induced by decohesion at the interface between the ferrite matrix and non-metallic particles or by particle cracking are the main reasons for the failure of these materials during plastic deformation. Experimental results show that the void volume fractions of these materials increase as strain increases, with the increasing rate being larger for the material with more carbide particles. Analytical expressions of strain hardening exponent and fracture strain for plastically damaged materials with second-phase particles are derived, and shown to be in good agreement with experimental data.

<P>Three cDNAs encoding carotenoid cleavage dioxygenases (SbCCD1, SbCCD4, and SbNCED) were isolated from Scutellaria baicalensis, an important traditional herb in Asia and North America. Amino acid sequence alignments showed that they share high identity and similarity to their orthologs in other plant species. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed that <I>SbCCD1</I> and <I>SbCCD4</I> were most strongly expressed in flowers, whereas <I>SbNCED</I> was expressed at the highest level in roots. The expression levels of phytoene synthase (<I>SbPSY</I>), phytoene desaturase (<I>SbPDS</I>), ξ-carotene desaturase (<I>SbZDS</I>), β-ring carotene hydroxylase (<I>SbCHXB</I>), zeaxanthin epoxidase (<I>SbZEP</I>), <I>SbCCD1</I>, <I>SbCCD4</I>, and <I>SbNCED</I> in the callus of S. baicalensis varied under different concentrations of gibberellic acid (GA<SUB>3</SUB>) and abscisic acid (ABA). Under NaCl treatment, expression levels of all genes increased with increasing NaCl concentrations. Except for zeaxanthin, increasing GA<SUB>3</SUB>, ABA, and NaCl concentrations caused higher losses in the total carotenoid content. The total carotenoid content substantially decreased with increasing GA<SUB>3</SUB>, ABA, and NaCl concentrations, with the biggest reductions observed in the NaCl treatment. The isolation and characterization of SbCCD1, SbCCD4, and SbNCED together with the study on the effect of GA<SUB>3</SUB>, ABA, and NaCl on carotenoid biosynthesis will be helpful to elucidate the carotenoid biosynthesis mechanism in S. baicalensis and may set new trends in metabolic engineering of carotenoids in plants.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jafcau/2013/jafcau.2013.61.issue-23/jf401401w/production/images/medium/jf-2013-01401w_0007.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/jf401401w'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

The influence of air environment on the wear of machine parts was investigated by comparing measure wear for friction pairs of different relative humidify. With changing humidity, the wear of cast iron materials has different results. However the relative humidity is not complete so that to study the effect of different factors of ambient air. The temperature and the air pollution are very important compositions of environment. So when to study the effect of atmosphere on the wear cast iron material, the experiments have performed in the conditions of changing humidity, temperature and beginning to be interested in the some polluted factors.
HYDRODYNAMIC THRUST BEARINGS WORKING IN SPECIAL CONDITIONS

This study modeled the real behavior of an hydrodynamic thrust bearing. A theory is developed to know the geometry of the contact and the start of the complete fluid film for each pad and at every time. Moreover the solution of the energy equation for the film and the heat transfer equation for the solids are used to calculated the temperature in every point of the thrust bearing. In the case of misalignment, the numerical procedure gives the working parameters for each pad. As the characteristics of the fluid going out one pad (leakage and temperature) influence the feeding conditions of the following pads, the lubricant recirculation at the inlet is taken into account. The results obtained for a misaligned hydrodynamic thrust bearing are presented. The influence of the degree of misalignment and the conditions of feeding is studied. The pressure field, the leakage, the temperature variations in the fluid film are presented. The operating characteristics of a thrust bearing are obtained by the simultaneous resolution of the Reynolds, the energy and heat transfer equations.
INVESTIGATION OF THE THEORY OF RHEODYNAMIC LUBRICATION AND ITS APPLICATIONS

In the study of the lubricant flow and characteristics of the rheodynamic lubrication mechanism, the models of Reiner-Rivlin, Maxwell and Bingham bodies are examined and used. the evaluation of rheodynamic lubrication mechanism requires the solution of generalized Reynolds equations, which are incorporated by the nonlinear behavior of lubricant. In this paper, the authors present a form of Navier-Stokes equations for the case of Bingham fluid. In pratice, this problem consists the lubrication mechanism using the grease. The finite elements method is used for solving these equations. The results are presented on the fluid flow as some regions of film thickness of lubricant, determining the boundary conditions of Reynolds equation and the exact calculation of rheodynamic contact.
