Earned Duration Management (EDM) is the most recent methodology for project management that unlike former techniques, measures project performance using time-based data, In contrast to former techniques. This difference generates more realistic consequences in performance estimation and measurement. The novel approach which has been proposed in this paper aims to measure project performance by applying EDM techniques under uncertain conditions based on fuzzy theory. In this regard, we applied linguistic terms to express activities’ progress and developed EDM metrics to fuzzy performance and estimation indices which are capable of measuring performance under uncertain condition. In order to rank fuzzy numbers, a new method based on relative preference relation has been used, which has been clarified by a real sample case in road construction projects.

Photocatalytic degradation of 2,4-dichlorophenol was studied using FeO-doped onto nano-particles ofzeolite P (FeO–NP). FeO/NP was prepared by ion exchange and calcination procedures. The samples werecharacterized by FT-IR, SEM and DRS. UV–vis, HPLC and COD were employed to calculate the degradationextent of the pollutant. The results confirmed that the degradation efficiency of the method stronglydependent to experimental parameters such as: pH, catalyst concentration, substrate concentration,active component value (FeO) loading, presence of H2O2 and inorganic Cl and SO42 anions. The firstorderkinetics model was used to study the kinetics of the method.

Background: To compare the effects of two adjuvant chemotherapy regimens, anthracycline-based and cyclophosphamide, methotrexate, fluorourical (CMF) on disease free survival for breast cancer patients in the Eastern Mediterranean region and Asia. Methods: In a systematic review with a multivariate mixed model meta-analysis, the reported survival proportion at multiple time points in different studies were combined. Our data sources were studies linking the two chemotherapy regimens on an adjuvant basis with disease free survival published in English and Persian in the Eastern Mediterranean region and Asia. All survival curves were generated with Graphdigitizer software. Results: 14 retrospective cohort studies were located from electronic databases. We analyzed data for 1,086 patients who received anthracycline-based treatment and 1,109 given CMF treatment. For determination of survival proportions and time we usesb the transformation Ln (-Ln(S)) and Ln (time) to make precise estimations and then fit the model. All analyses were carried out with STATA software. Conclusions: Our findings showed a significant efficacy of anthracycline-based adjuvant therapy regarding disease free survival of breast cancer. As a limitation in this meta-analysis we used studies with different types of anthracycline-based regimens.

OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to explore the spatial pattern of female breast cancer (BC) incidence at the neighborhood level in Tehran, Iran. METHODS: The present study included all registered incident cases of female BC from March 2008 to March 2011. The raw standardized incidence ratio (SIR) of BC for each neighborhood was estimated by comparing observed cases relative to expected cases. The estimated raw SIRs were smoothed by a Besag, York, and Mollie spatial model and the spatial empirical Bayesian method. The purely spatial scan statistic was used to identify spatial clusters. RESULTS: There were 4,175 incident BC cases in the study area from 2008 to 2011, of which 3,080 were successfully geocoded to the neighborhood level. Higher than expected rates of BC were found in neighborhoods located in northern and central Tehran, whereas lower rates appeared in southern areas. The most likely cluster of higher than expected BC incidence involved neighborhoods in districts 3 and 6, with an observed-to-expected ratio of 3.92 (p〈0.001), whereas the most likely cluster of lower than expected rates involved neighborhoods in districts 17, 18, and 19, with an observed-to-expected ratio of 0.05 (p〈0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Neighborhood-level inequality in the incidence of BC exists in Tehran. These findings can serve as a basis for resource allocation and preventive strategies in at-risk areas.
