        Applications of Euler-Seidel matrices

        A. Dil,V. Kurt 장전수학회 2009 Advanced Studies in Contemporary Mathematics Vol.18 No.2

In this paper we give some applications of Euler-Seidel matrices. We use the algorithm method to investigate structures of Fibonacci and Lucas num- bers. We also proved that p (p - 1) + 1 - th row of the Euler-Seidel matrices over Zp (p is prime) is either zero sequence or it repeats the initial sequence.

      • Issues of Harmonization of ISO 9001 Standard and the Law 09-08. Protection of Personal Data in Morocco: Potentials and Risks

Adil CHEBIR,Ibtissam EL MOURY,Adil ECHCHELH,Omar TAOUAB 국제컴퓨터통신보호논문지학회 2023 International journal of computer science and netw Vol.23 No.10

Since 2009, Morocco has had a law governing the processing of personal data, the law 09-08, and a supervisory authority, the CNDP (National Commission for the Protection of Personal Data). Since May 2018, the European General Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data (GDPR) entered into force, which applies outside the EU in certain cases and therefore to certain Moroccan companies. The question of the protection of personal data is primarily addressed to the customer. The latter may not only be a victim of crime linked to ICT, but also have to face risks linked to the collection and abusive processing of his personal data by the private and public sectors. Often the customer does not really know how their data is stored, nor for how long and for what purpose. This fact raises the question of satisfying customer requirements, in particular for organizations that have adopted a quality approach based on ISO 9001 standard. In order to master these constraints, Moroccan companies have to adopt strategies based on modern quality management techniques, especially the adoption of principles issued from the international standard ISO 9001 while being confirmed by the law 09-08. It is through ISO 9001 and the law 09-08 that these companies can refer to recognized approaches in terms of quality and compliance. The major challenge for these companies is to have a Quality approach that allows the coexistence between the law 09-08 and ISO 9001 standard and this article deals within this specific context.

Preparation and Characterization of Viburnum Opulus Containing Electrospun Membranes as Antibacterial Wound Dressing

Adile Yuruk,Sevil Dincer Isoglu,Ismail Alper Isoglu 한국섬유공학회 2023 Fibers and polymers Vol.24 No.11

Herein, we fabricated polycaprolactone/gelatin electrospun membranes possessing different amounts of Viburnum Opulus extract (0, 25, 35, 50%, w/v) as an antibacterial wound dressing. We investigated chemical, morphological, physical, and mechanical properties as well as in vitro degradation behavior of the electrospun membranes. The antibacterial activities of membranes were evaluated against gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and gram-negative Escherichia coli (E. coli). The membranes containing Viburnum Opulus exhibited excellent antibacterial activity with the formation of inhibition zones of 25 mm to 36 mm against Escherichia coli and 14 mm to 25 mm against Staphylococcus aureus. The fiber diameters rose from 591 to 1222 nm after adding Viburnum Opulus extract. The extract-containing membranes displayed superior swelling, cell viability, and proliferation properties to neat membranes. Our results showed that the polycaprolactone/gelatin electrospun membranes containing Viburnum Opulus could be a suitable material for wound dressing applications.

Effects of different surface treatments on the shear bond strength of veneering ceramic materials to zirconia

        Adil Othman Abdullah,Yu Hui,Xudong Sun,Sarah Pollington,Fenik Kaml Muhammed,Yi Liu 대한치과보철학회 2019 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.11 No.1

PURPOSE. To evaluate and compare the effect of different materials and techniques on the shear bond strength of veneering ceramic materials to zirconia. MATERIALS AND METHODS. 136 sintered zirconia cubes were prepared and randomly divided into four study groups according to corresponding methods of surface treatment and materials: GLN (grinding followed by laser scanning using Noritake Cerabien ZR), SLN (sandblasting followed by laser scanning using Noritake Cerabien ZR), GLV (grinding followed by laser scanning using VITA VM 9), and SLV (sandblasting followed by laser scanning using VITA VM 9). Spraying technique was performed to coat the core. Profilometer, SEM, XRD, EDS, universal testing machine, and stereomicroscope were used to record surface roughness Ra, surface morphology, phase transformation, elemental compositions, shear bond strength SBS values, and failure types, respectively. Specimens were investigated in unaged (not immersed in artificial saliva) and aged (stored in artificial saliva for a month) conditions to evaluate SBS values. RESULTS. Grinding and GLN as first and second surface treatments provided satisfactory Ra values in both conditions (1.05 ± 0.24 um, 1.30 ± 0.21 um) compared to sandblasting and other groups (P<.05). The group GLN showed the highest SBS values in both conditions (30.97 ± 3.12 MPa, 29.09 ± 4.17 MPa), while group SLV recorded the lowest (23.96 ± 3.60 MPa, 22.95 ± 3.68 Mpa) (P<.05). Sandblasting showed phase transformation from t-m. Mixed failure type was the commonest among all groups. CONCLUSION. GLN showed to be a reliable method which provided satisfactory bond strength between the veneer ceramic and zirconia. This method might preserve the integrity of fixed dental crowns. Disseminated Cryptococcosis Incorrectly Managed: a Case Report

        Adil Maleb,Aziza Hami,Yassine Ben Lahlou,Somiya Lamrabat,Safaa Rifai,Nawal Rahmani,Mohammed Bensalah,Mohammed Frikh,Abdelhay Lemnouer,Mostafa Elouennass 대한의진균학회 2019 대한의진균학회지 Vol.24 No.1

Disseminated cryptococcosis is a rare fungal infection, which mainly occurs in immunocompromised patients, and the diagnosis is difficult. Therefore, it is less likely to be considered in immunocompetent patients. Here, we present a case of fatal cryptococcal infection of the pleural fluid and ascites in a patient seronegative for HIV. The patient was a 45-year old man who was followed for Crohn's disease and treated with steroids and an immunosuppressant (azathioprine). The culture of pleural and ascites fluids showed the presence of yeasts colonies identified as Cryptococcus neoformans. Bacteriological examination of the blood culture or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was not prescribed. The HIV serology was negative. At the fourth day of treatment, the patient died because of the deterioration of neurological and hepatocellular functions. The main diagnostic problems that led to this fatal outcome were non-suspicion of an at-risk patient, lack of microbiological analysis of the blood or CSF, and inadequate antifungal therapy.

Investigation of the structural and optical properties of sol gel processed Ho-doped BaTiO3 ceramics

        Adil Moutaouaffiq,Ali Didi Seddik,Abdelilah Rjeb,Mohammed Naciri Bennani,Mohamed Naji,Salaheddine Sayouri 한양대학교 청정에너지연구소 2023 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.24 No.6

The pure BaTiO3 and Ho doped BaTiO3 (Ba1-xHoxTiO3 with x = 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1, 1.5 and 2%), powders were preparedthrough the sol-gel process and structurally characterized by Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Differential thermal analysis(DTA), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) and Raman spectroscopy. The optical propertieshave been investigated using Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) transmittance-reflectance spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results revealed that the prepared powders, calcined at 1000 °C for 4 hours, crystallized in the pure perovskite structurewithout the presence of secondary phases and showed a slight transition from the quadratic phase (pure BT) to the pseudo-cubic phase for the doped samples. From these results, we can also notice that Ho may occupy both Ba and Ti crystallographicsites. Raman and Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) results are in accordance with those obtained from XRDcharacterizations. The values of the bandgap energies for the doped samples are lower than that of the pure BaTiO3 (3.26eV), thus confirming energy softening effect of Ho.

Optimization Strategies and Nonlinear Control for Hybrid Renewable Energy Conversion System

        Adil Mansouri,Abdelmounime El Magri,Rachid Lajouad,Aziz Watil,Fouad Giri 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.11

This paper focuses on controlling and optimizing a hybrid renewable energy system. The complex interactions and intermittent nature of renewable sources pose challenges to grid stability, necessitating sophisticated control strategies. The system includes a photovoltaic generator and a wind energy conversion system with a permanent magnet synchronous generator. Two key innovations are presented: i) connecting the photovoltaic generator to the grid in hybridization with the wind turbine without using a DC/DC converter, simplifying the structure, reducing losses, and ensuring grid stability and reliability; and ii) designing multi-objective controllers using the maximum power point tracking method based solely on electrical parameters, leading to fewer sensors and higher reliability compared to previous methods that required additional measurements like wind speed and irradiance. To address these challenges, a multiloop nonlinear controller is proposed, employing integral sliding mode and backstepping design techniques based on an accurate nonlinear system model. The stability of the multiloop control system is ensured using a suitable Lyapunov function.
