모노드라마 『어느 학술원에 드리는 보고』의 연극성에 관한 연구 - ‘빨간 피터의 고백’, ‘이원승이 원숭이’를 중심으로 -

이 연구는 모노드라마를 통해 드러나는 기호적 연극성에 대해 문헌분석을 통해 알아보고자 한 것이다. 1917년에 발표된 카프카의 단편 『학술원에 드리는 보고』가 극예술의 중심에 ‘기호의 기호’인 배우 혼 자서 연극적 실천을 재현 하는 모노드라마 형식으로 <빠알간 피터의 고백>, <이원승이 원숭이>로 해석된 상이한 공연 텍스트를 기호적 관점에서 양면적 연극성을 연구한 것이다. 이 연구를 나타난 결과를 정리 하면, 첫째, 모노드라마는 배우 혼자서 공연하는 것이 아니라 관객을 배우삼아 공연되는 것이라는 점이다. 둘째, 연극성 기호는 사건이 기호로 발화되어 상징성과 은유성을 내포하게 되며, 인간의 삶에서 상징 성은 절대성으로, 은유성은 변화를 내포하고 있다는 점이다. 셋째, 공연에서 양면적 연극성의 동일성은 공통 텍스트의 골격을 바탕으로 두 공연 텍스트가 재해석된다. 원숭이가 인간적 언어 습득의 동기화로 변화된 삶의 환경과 추구성에 관련된 자기 고백적 보고 내용이 기본 골격이다. 상이성은 공통 텍스트가 연출 관점, 구성의 접근 방법, 연기의 해석 양식에 따라 상이하게 무대화 된다는 점이다. 이에 본 연구는 추송웅과 이원승이 동일 텍스트인 『학술원에 드리는 보고』의 공연에서 추구한 동일성과 상이성의 연극성 발견을 목적으로 한다. The study examines both-sided theatricality of the two different monodramas, <Confession of Red Peter> and <Lee Won-seung is a Monkey>, created by dramatizing Kafka’s short story 「Report to an Academy」 published in 1917, in terms of sign. The mono drama means that a stage actor, ‘sign of signs’ in the center of the dramatic art, plays alone. Same point in both-sided theatricality is that two drama texts are reinterpreted based on the same text skeleton. In other words, the main frame is that a monkey narrates, in the form of the report, one’s story of trying to adapt oneself to changed environment while learning a human language. Different point in both-side theatricality is that two drama texts are differently enacted depending on viewpoint of direction, approaching way in a plot and interpretation style of acting. The drama texts is worth studying in that the actor imitates gestures of a monkey, not a human, which is more dramatic, and stage symbolization of one actor is an unique style. The researcher looks into stage acting expression and environment of the monodrama. Theatricality of two performance texts is complicated with symbolized deformation and is explained with sign system such as indicator on the map and symbol. Based on this, the study examines the relation of the two performance texts including the sameness and difference. By widely expanding the monodrama, drama style of one actor, the study analyzes the stage symbolization process of the actor as theatricality.

본 논문은 교회커뮤니티의 다양한 구성원을 단일 시각으로 집중시키는 유일한 텍스트인 성경을 기호 집합체로 조망하여, 성경에 접근하는 새로운 연극적 방법론에 관한 연구이다. 성경 본문의 연극적 상황 을 즉흥극-연극 기호로 의미 해석하는 장치를 구상하였으며, 로고스플레이라 명명하여 연구한다. 교회커 뮤니티 연극 활성화를 위한 로고스플레이의 기대효과로써 첫째, 교회커뮤니티 내부에서 커뮤니티구성원 의 상호 관계성에 실천적인 영향을 끼치고, 구체적인 자기 주도 학습 방법론을 제공한다. 또한, 시간적 방해 요소인 절기에서 벗어나며 공간적 방해 요소에서 벗어난 무대 형식의 내용과 방법이기에 표현과 전 개가 쉽다는 장점을 지닌다. 둘째, 예배 형식에 내용으로 활용할 수 있다. 흡사 자료 화면처럼 활용되어 성경 본문의 설명을 담당할 수 있기에, 전달되는 의미를 깊이 있게 인식되도록 한다. 셋째, 교회커뮤니티 외부와의 관계성 확장과 지속성이 가능해진다. 로고스플레이의 학습을 통해 교회커뮤니티와 지역 커뮤 니티가 연계된 거리축제에 응용할 수 있기 때문이다. 특히 수난극, 십자가의 길 혹은 비아돌로로사의 표 현 방법론으로 적합하다고 본다. 로고스플레이는 기호로 작용한 성경에서 지시하는 의미의 해석이 가능 하기에 본 논문을 기호학의 프레임으로 연구하였다. 퍼스의 순수삼각관계는 로고스플레이의 즉흥극이 표현체이고, 성경텍스트는 대상으로 작용하여 의미를 발견하게 하는 해석체의 집합으로써 연구의 틀을 제공한다. 이에 본 논문은 덕수교회에서 2020년 4월 10일 개최 예정인 비아돌로로사 참여자에게 표현 방 법론으로 로고스플레이를 통해 학습하고 있다. 이를 토대로 많은 교회커뮤니티에서 소프트웨어적 역할 로의 확장을 목적으로 연구한다. This is a study about the theatrical methodology which can be used in the Christian community life by looking at the Bible which is the only text that concentrates various members of the church community into a single view as a collection of sign. In this study, a device to interpret the theatrical context of the biblical text as an improvisational and theatrical sign is designed and called Logos Play. The expected effect of Logos play for revitalizing church community plays is as follows. First, it provides a practical self-directed learning methodology that has a practical effect on the community members' interrelationships within the church community. Second, Logos Play can be used as the content in a worship form. Logos Play can be used as a video clip to explain the biblical text so that the meaning can be deeply recognized. Third, Logos Play can extend and sustain the church community's relationship with the outside of the church community. It is because Logos Play can be applied to street festivals where the church community and local community are connected to learn through Logos Play. In particular, Logos Play is considered to be suitable as a methodology to represent the Passion play, the Way of the Cross or the Via Dolorosa. This study is in the frame of semiotics as Logos Play acts as a sign and helps interpret the biblical meanings. Peirce's irreducible triadic relation provides this study with the framework that improvisational Logos Play is a set of representamen and interpretants to help find meanings while the biblical test acts as the object.
