The spice, circuit analysis program has been widely accepted as an industry standard for electronic circuit analysis, and it is used at colleges and universities. This paper describes the analysis of two model of directional coupler that can be used to obtain node voltages proportional to incident, refected and transmittied signals. These models are based on a previously developed multiple coupled node transmision line spice model. From computed node voltages, S-parameter are computed using the pspice post processor, probe, as an example for a filter consisting of transmission line sections. The result of this example are good and microwave analysis can be conducted with pspice, which can be a costeffective and readily useful analysis tool for educators and practicing engineers.

The Pulse motor is a form of synchronous motor which is designed to rotate a specific number of degrees for each electrical pulse received by its control unit. A thyristor model in dc chopper commutation circuits is described using the elements in the PSpice program. The improved model is used to simulate voltage commutated dc choppers. The results agree with theoretical ones. The model developed here is useful for analysis and design of dc thyristor choppers including the commutation circuits.

Many investigators in the field of communications and navigation feel that subject of phase - locked loops is mature. Phase locked loops using charge pumps are found to have good potential for accurate phase tracking. The several factors are described and numercal calculations provides examples of typical errors. Inaccuracy as small as microcycles appears to be an attainable goal.

This paper presents a theory which describes the transient response of a PLL to a periodic ramp voltage applied to the VCO for generating a chirp signal. With the appropriate choice of loop parameters and the ramp voltage rate to make the value of the normalized loop natural frequency within the range(0,1), the PLL's equation can be simplified to a nearly linear differential equation. Its asymtotic solution can be abtained by the perturbation method as is a rather small value. Simulation results in agreement with the analysis have been abtained. Its application to generate a linear frequency modulation waveform using a high-gain second-order PLL is considered.

A wideband band-stop filter showing improved high frequency band characteristics was designed. This filter was designed using an open stub with a spurline shape. A stepped impedance resonator(SIR) was introduced into the design to obtain a band broadening effect with improved selectivity. The designed band-stop filter was simulated and as a result, it was confirmed through the characteristic graph and the current density distribution diagram.

The power-series analysis was based on the power-series model of a nonlinear system, where in the frequency-sensitive linear part of the circuit and memoryless nonlinear element were cleanly separate from each other. Using Voltera analysis, we show that the IM products do combine in phase, and cascade relation gives an accurate, not worst-case, prediction of distortion.

A simple SPICE model for IIR direct form 2 biquad section is described briefly in this paper. Digital filter consisting of up to four biquad sections can be analysed with SPICE. A simple model is given for application. An evaluation version of Pspice is used as a circuit simulation tool. This model opens possibilities of low-cost exercises and simulated laboratory experiments in design and education of digital signal processing.

Modern communication systems demand microwave frequencies, packing densities higher and more compact filter circuits. Sonnet is an EM simulation tool and is the well-known software that has secured reliability in the microwave frequency industry. In this study, resonant type microstrip bandpass filter was designed and simulated with the aid of Sonnet software.
