Underwater ambient noise originating from geophysical, biological, and man-made acoustic sources contains information on the source and the ocean environment. Such noise affectsthe performance of sonar equipment. In this paper, three steps are used to identify the ambient noise source, detection, feature extraction, and similarity measurement. First, we use the zero-crossing rate to detect the ambient noisesource from background noise. Then, a set of feature vectors is proposed forthe ambient noise source using the Hilbert-Huang transform and the Karhunen-Loeve transform. Finally, the Euclidean distance is used to measure the similarity between the standard feature vector and the feature vector of the unknown ambient noise source. The developed algorithm is applied to the observed ocean data, and the results are presented and discussed.

The space is an important place in the future ofmankind. It is a placewhere you can supplement the depleted earth"s resources and play a role as the base for a new life of humanity. Small-scale new companies armed with ideas and technology are participating in space development, which was traditionally handled by large corporations. We look at small companies that are moving toward the space while thinking about the future of mankind. Technology development for the removal of space debris, integration of ground networks for satellite control, artificial meteor shower planning, global image provision using micro-satellites, lunar exploration and asteroid mining are currently underway.

Seung Ok Kim is a writer who keenly depicts extensive social changes of Korea in 1960's. At that time, various social changes such as industrialization, civilization, and modernization were in progress in Korea Particularly the protagonists of his novels are often portrayed as abnormal, helpless and diseased men. This reflects the sterile reality of that time period. In other words, the source of life such as man and sex is absent in his novels. Both man and sex only exist only in the name of violence and conquest. Thus, this portrays the world of evil and fake father that dominates the sterile reality. Although the protagonists of each novel detest this evil fake father, he eventually becomes and resembles e evil fake father of his on. This distorted figures of Kim's protagonists reflect the reality of modem history. The reality of modem history is the very loss of sovereignty, conflict of ideology, and war and etc. For Kin, modernity or civilization is rather diseased and sterile world. Therefore, the absence of man and sex in Kim's novels reflects the reality of corrupted powerless man/father/nation. Hence, Seung Ok Kim is Korea's one of the most representative writers of 1960's who was acutely awared of and deeply concerned with the evil modernity which stands on the principle of conquest and struggle.

The objective of this study is to get simulation data about pulsatile flow of a non-Newtonian fluid through a bifurcated tube. All the process was based on CFD method, with a commercial FVM code, SC/Tetra ver. 6.0 for solving, and with CATIA R16 for generating geometries. To define a non-Newtonian fluid, the following viscous models are used; the Powell-Eyring model, the modified Powell-Eyring model, the Cross model, the modified Cross model, the Carreau model, the Carreau-Yasuda model and the modified Power Law model. The flow calculation data using each model were compared with the other data of a existing paper. Finally, the Carreau model was recognized to give the best result with the SC/Tetra code, and the succeeding simulations are made with the model. For the pulsating flow condition, the sine wave type velocity profile is given as the inlet boundary condition. To investigate the effect of geometries and mesh, the pre-test is carried out with various curvature conditions of the bifurcated corner, and then with various mesh conditions. The final process is to calculate flow variables such as the wall shear stress (WSS) and the wall shear stress gradient (WSSG). To validate all the result, the simulation is compared with the existing data of the other papers. Generally speaking, there is a noticeable difference in the maximum and minimum value of WSS. It is not sure that the values in each data are on the exactly same location. However, the overall trend is similar. The next study needs to investigate the same situation by experimental method Furthermore, if the flow is simulated with more pulsatile conditions, more data of flow field through a bifurcated tube could be achieved.
