Here are the basic concept, components of conventional transfer path analysis (TPA) methods using data of the frequency domain and the comparison of direct and indirect methods quantifying noise sources. The differences of the time domain TPA & frequency domain TPA are showed and the convolution calculation algorithm for the process of the time domain TPA is observed. The algorithm is classified into two methods. One is the method which uses only the time data and the other is the method which uses the time & frequency data. And the former is also classified into two methods. One is a view-point of input data and the other is a view-point of output data. The latter uses algorithms of the FFT convolution and overlap-add method.

Among various elements to affect customer's evaluation of product quality, BSR(Buzz, Squeak, Rattle) are considered to be a mostly contributing factor. This paper describes the study of the sound quality evaluation index development for the squeak and rattle. The sound quality evaluation index for the squeak and rattle is composed of the highly correlated sound physical parameters. So that, the highly correlated sound quality physical parameters (sharpness, transient loudness, fluctuation strength, tonality etc) is found by correlation, cluster and factor analysis method. And, it looks into the 2nd sound quality parameters in the well-represented parameters of subjective characteristics of BSR noise such as Crest Factor, Skewness, Kurtosis of transient SQM parameters.
음질을 고려한 환경소음 평가 인자의 기여도분석에 관한 연구

소음에 대한 인간의 심리적 인지는 소음의 여러 가지 물리적 요인에 의하여 영향을 받는다. 그러나 현재의 환경소음 평가는 A 가중치 등가 소음 수준을 기준으로 평가되고 있으며 인간의 다양한 감성적 요인을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 환경소음 평가를 위하여 환경소음원 43개에 대하여 주관평가와 통계적 분석방법을 사용하여 인간의 감성에 영향을 주는 음질인자 (Sound quality factor)를 분석하였다. 분석방법은 먼저 다양한 환경소음원에 대한 음질물리량 (Sound quality metrics)을 분석하여 음원을 분류하였으며 분류된 음원의 주된 음질 물리량을 고찰하였다. 그리고 쌍대비교법 (Paired comparisons method)과 어의분별척도법 (Semantic differential method)을 사용하여 주관 평가를 실시하고 음질의 요인을 분석하였으며 물리량과의 관계를 규명하였다. 마지막으로 요인에 대한 물리량의 기여도를 분석함으로써 환경소음의 감성적 인지에 대한 기초 물리량을 설정하였다. For the environmental noise assessments. A weighted equivalent noise level (LeqA) is used to measure the time varying environmental noise. However, it is not appropriately reflect various environmental noise features and human emotions. The human perception of the noise is affected largely by the psychoacoustic characteristics of noise as well as the sound pressure level In this study, the effective factors of noise qualify are analyzed using the subjective assessment and statistical analysis of environmental noise, such as road traffic noise. construction site noise, noise in daily living. and other. The analysis methodology is composed to three steps as follows : firstly, the values of the sound qualify metrics of various noise sources were analyzed. And to classify the noise sources, we conducted a cluster analysis using sound quality metrics. Secondly, subjective jury testing was carried out using the methods of paired comparisons and semantic differential. Finally, the correlation between the subjective parameters and the noise quality metrics were analyzed. As a result. the human perception characteristics of the various environmental noise are described in some physical parameters of the noise qualify metrics.

In this study, the sensitivity of annoyance was investigated by the subjective jury test for the variations of the frequency components along with various sound pressure levels of sixteen environmental noise sources. Annoyance was, also, evaluated for the road traffic noises. Sound pressure levels were $54{\sim}84\;dB$ which individually divided frequency components with eight bands of equally three bark bands. The results show that vehicle traffic noise is recognized as the most serious environment noise source. The sensitivity of human perception of annoyance in frequency bands is quite different from A-weighting curve. The annoyance found out to be more sensitive in high frequency region and reached its maximum in 3.4 kHz.
실차 하중조건에서 스트레인게이지를 이용한 휠 베어링의 False Brinell 평가

Wheel bearings on passenger and commercial cars are one component to important. A False brinell phenomenon observed on the wheel bearing of the vehicle represents the dent generated on a raceway due to balls and the corrosion during transportation on train. To verify the False brinell performance during the development process of wheel bearings most of a False brinell test is performed on test rigs prior to the vehicle test due to cost and time. But the different False brinell results are affected by diversities such as a structural concept, a loading system, and characteristics of test rigs itself. This paper shows the development of the instrumented device that can measure a strain on a wheel bearing and analyze a relation between a False brinell of the wheel bearing and a measured strain under the different loading condition on two test rigs. To verify the reliability of this study, a depth of the brinell is measured and compared. A bench test and a vehicle simulated test were carried out. The initial results of the test show the different False brinell performances and strains under test setups, but after the adjustment loading condition the results have a equivalent severity.

생활수준의 향상으로 실내용 가전제품 개발의 초점은 제품의 성능 뿐 아니라 소음, 디자인과 같은 요소에 맞추어지고 있다. 청소기는 가전제품 중, 큰 소음을 발생시킴으로써 소음 감소를 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 따라서 청소기의 체감 소음 측정 방법에 대한 연구는 청소기 소음 제어에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 청소기 체감 소음 측정을 위하여 청각 시스템을 기반으로 객관적 음질 특징을 제시한다. 인간의 청각 시스템은 특정 주파수 대역에 민감하게 반응하므로, 청각에 민감한 주파수 대역의 소음에너지를 줄이는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 녹음된 소음의 특정 주파수 영역의 평균 에너지를 계산하여 이를 청소기 음질 측정을 위한 새로운 객관적 특징 값으로 제시한다. 제시하는 객관적 특징 값의 성능을 평가하기 위하여, 14개 청소기의 소음을 녹음한 후, 100명을 대상으로 PCM 및 ACR 주관적 평가 법을 실시하여 주관적 점수를 획득하였다. 제시하는 객관적 특징 값은 주관적 점수와 높은 상관관계를 보여준다. In this paper, we propose an objective quality feature which is based on the human auditory system to measure vacuum cleaner noise. It is observed that some frequency bands are more sensitive to the human auditory system. Therefore, we divided the audible frequency range of vacuum cleaner noise into a number of frequency bands and the average energy of these bands was calculated. Among a number of average energies, an average energy of a frequency band was selected as the proposed feature. In order to test the performance of the proposed feature, fourteen vacuum cleaners were chosen and the noise was recorded in an anechoic-chamber. Then we performed subjective tests to obtain subjective scores of the noise data using the PCM (paired comparison method) and ACR (absolute category rating) subjective methods. The proposed objective quality feature shows high correlation with the subjective scores.
