New PTT(trimethylene terephthalate) non-wovwn suede is manufactured via the combination of an advanced spinning process (producing very low denier bi-component "islands in the sea" fibre) and chemical and textile production processes (needle punching, buffing, impregnation, extraction, finishing, dyeing, etc.) which interact with each other. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede. It is expected that this material's application would be widened in seating as well as dash trimming due to its hard-wearing yet and luxurious-looking properties.
스테레오 컴플렉스를 이용한 폴리유산 복합재 제조 및 성능 개선

폴리-L-유산 (PLLA)/폴리-D-유산(PDLA)의 스테레오컴플렉스(SC) 특유의 결정 거동은 PLLA/PDLA의 블렌드의 특정한 용융 조건에서 나타난다. 이를 적용하여 PLA 스테레오컴플렉스를 제조하기 위해 전반적인 조성에서 PLLA와 PDLA 를 블렌드 하였다. 또한 충격 강도와 열변형온도 같은 기계적 물성 및 열적 특성을 향상시키기 위해 충격보강제, 탈크와 유리 섬유(GF) 등의 보강제를 첨가하였다. 그 결과로 열변형 온도가 115℃ 에서 관찰 되는 조성의 복합재를 제조하였다. 더 경제적 인 방법으로, PLLA와 상용화된 폴리프로필렌(PP)을 전반적인 조성에서 블렌드 하였다. 그 결과, 특정 조성에서 상용화된 PP/탈크 복합재와 ABS에 적용시킬 수 있는 물성을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과는 PP와 PLLA같은 매트릭스 수지에 유리섬유 및 충격보강제를 잘 분산시키는 것에서 기인하는 것으로 판단된다. A unique crystallization behavior of poly(L-lactide)(PLLA)/poly(D-lactide)(PDLA) stereocomplex(SC) was observed when a PLLA/PDLA blend was subjected to the specific melting conditions. Therefore, we tried to blend PLLA and PDLA at overall composition to form PLA stereocomplexes. Moreover, impact modifier and reinforcement materials such as talc and glass fiber added to enhance the mechanical and thermal properties such as impact strength and heat distortion temperature(HDT). As a result, we got one representative result, one composite recipe with HDT 115℃. For more economic technology, we tried to blend PLLA and Polypropylene at overall composition and we got another representative result which could be applied to current PP/talc composites and ABS materials. The core technology of this might be the well dispersion of glass fibers into the matrix resin such as PP, PLLA and impact strength modifier.

Recently seaweed polysaccharides have been extensively studied for alternative energy application. Because their producing cost is high and efficiency low, their industrial applications have been limited. The main component of cell wall of red algae represented by Gelidiales and Gracilariales is agar. Red-algae agar or galactan, consisting of D-galactose and 3, 6-anhydro-L-galactose, is suitable for bio-product application if hydrolyzed to monomer unit. For the hydrolysis of algae, chemical or enzymatic treatment can be used. A chemical process using a strong acid is simple and efficient, but it generates together with target sugar and toxic compounds. In an enzymatic hydrolysis process, target sugar without toxic compounds generation. The objective of this review is to summary the recent data of saccharification by chemical and enzymatic means from red seaweed for especially focused on automobile industry.
