Orthodontic treatment planning of cleft lip and palate requires consideration of the characteristic features, growth pattern and functional disorders related to cleft lip and palate patients. Tissue deficiencies and constriction of the scar tissue in surgically treated cleft lip and palate results in disturbance of maxillary growth and deficiency of midfacial region with anterior and posterior crossbite. These patients often present congenital missing of teeth, supernumerary teeth, malformed teeth, or ectopic position of teeth, which should be treated by orthodontic treatment by expanding upper arch followed by fixed appliance. Proper use of retainer and continuous follow-up is needed to prevent relapse after orthodontic treatment has finished. Also we have to pay attention to correct speech disorder which is caused by the velopharyngeal insufficiency.
A study on the n-dimensional quadtree decomposition

We have examined the problem of the number of quad-tree blocks that an n-dimensional rectangle will be decomposed into on the average. The contribution of this paper are both practical and theoretical. From the practical point of view, the number of quadtree blocks of a decomposition is important, because it determines the number of nodes that a main-memory based quadtree will require; the number of entries in a linear quadtree that will be required ; also, the number of prices that a range query will be decomposed into which will be proportional to the response time for this query.
FD-TD 알고리듬을 이용한 누설동축 케이블의 특성 해석

맥스웰 방정식을 이용한 유한 차분 법 시간 영역 해석은 여러 가지 전자계현상을 구할 수 있다. FDTD 알고리듬은 시간 영역 해석방법으로 시간적 변화를 갖는 맥스웰 방정식을 유한 차분 방정식으로 변환하는 방법이다. 시간 영역 해석은 임의의 소스를 구현할 수 있고 과도 응답 특성을 구할 수 있다. FD-TD 알고리듬은 시간 영역 해석 방법으로 시간적 변화를 갖는 미분형 Maxwell 방정식을 유한 차분 법으로 시간과 공간영역에 근사적으로 이산화 시키는 방법으로 Full-wave 해석이 가능하다. Full-wave 해석은 표면과 효과, 복사 파, 외부소자와 결합효과를 계산할 수 있으며 임의의 소자 형태, 다양한 급전구조, 다층구조, 비등방성 유전체의 경우에도 해석이 가능하다. A finite difference-time domain(FD-TD) algorithm for Maxwell's equation used to simulate and examine various electromagnetic phenomena. The FD-TD is applied to scattering and radiation problems and the efficient full wave analysis of comprehensive class of millimeter wave and optical waveguide structure. In this paper a leaky coaxial cable with periodic slot is described to get radiation phenomena. We use the FD-TD to model leaky coaxial cable and to develop the surface-wave propagation and radiation on the cable. The results obtained using the FD-TD are compared with results obtained using the mode-matching method.

In the study of antenna theory, a knowledge of the current distribution is of fundamental importance. The electromagnetic scattering from two straight wires, which are connented arbitrarily is considered. The current distribution on the wires are obtained solving numerrically using extended Pock-lington's integral equation. The direction of wave is perpendicular to the arbitrarily placed wire and at an angle with respect to the vertical wire.
