This study attempts to estimate the economic value of a new variety of Chinese cabbage seed using the contingent valuation method. To this purpose, the one-and-one-half-bound dichotomous choice contingent valuation model, which reduces the potential for response bias in the double bound model while maintaining much of its efficiency, is used to derive a producer`s willingness to pay for the new variety of Chinese cabbage seed. 156 producers were surveyed to determine their recognition and willingness to pay for the new variety of Chinese cabbage seed. Respondents overall accepted the contingent market and were willing to pay for a significant amount (5,050 to 5,500 won), on truncated average, per pack of 2,000 seeds. This willingness varies according to individual characteristics such as the plan of adopting a new variety of seed, educational level, planted area, and bidding price.

Red pepper acreage response is very important for policy decision regarding red pepper production as well as mitigation of the high dependency of imported red pepper. Previous studies based on Nerlovian model resulted in spurious regression problem which can be overcome by using cointegration analysis and error correction model (ECM). This study attempts to investigate the influence of own price and related products`` prices on the acreage response of red pepper by using ECM. The results show that long-run elasticities are higher than short-run elasticities. Also own price elasticity of red pepper and cross price elasticities are high in the long-run. The results imply that government should focus on the factors that affect the long-run price elasticity and formulate the policies that ensure the profitable price to the producers.
가공식품 수출지원 정책의 경제적 효과 분석 -국산 원료 이용률을 중심으로-

This study attempts to analyse the effects of policy support on processed food export companies in the utilization rate of domestic agricultural products and evaluate the validity of policy support based upon the results. For evaluating the pure effects of policy support on the utilization rate of domestic agricultural products, differences-indifferences( DID) model and panel differences-in-differences(PDID) model are estimated using the food industry raw material consumption survey data for 2011~2013. Following the DID estimation results, the utilization rate of domestic agricultural products has purely increased by 3.8% for 2011~2012 and 20.7% for 2012~2013with the government support programs for agri-food exports. Meanwhile, the PDID estimation results show that the rate for the companies which have received the support programs is higher by 26.1% than that of the companies which have not received the support programs.

본 연구는 공적분 기법을 활용하여 가격 및 비가격 요인들이 방글라데시 두류작물의 공급반응에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 분석하였다. 시계열자료가 불안정적인 경우 널러브 모형(Nerlovian model)을 이용한 공급반응 분석결과는 허구적 회귀, 또는 의사회귀의 문제점을 안고 있다. 이 문제를 극복하기 위해 최근 공적분 분석과 벡터오차수정모형의 활용이 증가하고 있으며, 본 연구에서도 이들 분석방법을 토대로 공급반응을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석결과 두류작물의 장기가격탄력성은 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 단기가격탄력성보다 높게 나타났다. 두류작물과 경합관계에 있는 다른 작물들과의 교차가격탄력성도 장기적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 관개면적의 증가는 장기적으로 두류작물의 공급반응에 유의한 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 시장에 기초한 가격정책은 단기적으로 유의한 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 불균형오차의 조절정도를 나타내는 오차수정계수는 -0.327로 추정되었으며, 통계적으로도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 선형결합된 시계열들이 장기균형관계에서 벗어났을 때 장기균형에서 이탈한 크기를 나타내는 불균형 오차가 단위시차(즉, 1년) 후에 두류작물의 재배면적에 반영되는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 볼 때 방글라데시의 두류작물 생산을 증대시키기 위해서는 가격뿐만 아니라 관개시설과 같은 비가격요인들도 함께 고려한 포괄적인 정책의 시행이 필요하며, 두류작물의 재배면적 증가를 위한 기술적인 시설들의 공급에 정부가 적극적으로 나설 필요가 있다고 하겠다. This study attempts to investigate influence of price and non-price factors on supply response of pulses in Bangladesh by using modern econometric technique of cointegration. The previous studies based on Nerlovian model have been criticised since time series data are often non-stationary and its analysis through OLS leads to spurious results. Therefore, combination of cointegration analysis and vector error correction model was used in present study to overcome the problems of Nerlovian model. This study found that long-run price elasticity of pulses is significant. Cross price elasticities of pulses are highly significant in the long-run due to their competitive nature. Moreover, long-run irrigation coefficient and market based policy reforms in the short-run also have significant positive impact on supply response of pulses. The error correction coefficient indicates that about 33 percent disequilibrium in supply can be adjusted within a year. The empirical evidence of this study suggests that comprehensive policy should be formulated by considering price and non-price factors of pulses to increase domestic production. In addition, government should develop technological facilities to more potential areas for commercial production of pulses.

In this paper, animal welfare egg was focused in Korea. This study was built to establish marketing strategies for the animal welfare egg. Data were collected by consumer survey on November 4th, 2011 at Chuncheon Hanaromart in Chuncheon. 355 questionnaires were distributed and collected. SAS 9.1 and Excel 2007 were used as statistical packages and ranked logit model was used to analyze. From the results of the study the following improving plans were suggested for the consideration factors affecting to purchase for animal welfare egg. First, strategies using public relations are needed only for package design. Thepackage design will be able to complements gaps for low advertisement. Moreover, when consumer will be provided information on packaging for consumers, the consumer will be able to reduce anxiety. Second, package design of identity strategies are needed. There are so many package designs in market. The package design of identity may give competition power to the animal welfare egg.
