전문대학 공학기술교육 프로그램 인증제 도입의 필요성과 주요 외국의 운영 사례

우리나라에서 전문대학 공학기술교육의 질을 높이고 여러 문제점을 해결하기 위해서는 전문대학 공학 기술교육 프로그램 인증제 도입의 적극적인 검토가 필요하다. 전문대학 인증제도를 실시하여 시드니 협정의 가입국이 되면 우리나라의 전문대학 공학교육은 국제적인 수준의 교육을 인증 받으면서 졸업생을 국제적으로 인정받을 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 이미 전문대학 공학기술교육 인증제를 실시하거나 시드니 협정의 가입국의 인증제도와 평가준거를 살펴보고 우리나라 교육현실과 산업계의 요구를 반영한 평가준거를 개발하여 전문대학 공학교육 인증을 실시해야 할 것이다. 그리고 우리나라에서 전문대학 공학교육 프로그램 인증제도를 실시하고 정착하기 위해서는 인증의 필요성을 인식하고 산 학 연이 상호 협력하여 우리나라에 적합한 인증제도와 평가준거를 만드는 일이 필요할 것이다. The accreditation system for engineering technology programs has not been carried out in this country. For need of accreditation for engineering technology programs and development of evaluation criteria, we need analyses of accreditation procedures, rules and evaluation criteria. So we researched accreditation system and evaluation criteria with countries. These are signatories to the Sydney Accord under which approved engineering technology programs. Accreditation procedures and evaluation criteria are characteristic of the each countries which carried out accreditation system. We have to introduce accreditation system and develop evaluation criteria in our manner for advancing our engineering technology education of community college.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the 6th technical high school curriculum and to propose the directions for reform. The contents of analysis were the characteristics and objectives, the composition of vocational department and course, and the guideline for curriculum organization and operation of the technical high school presented to the 6th curriculum. The national curriculum, curriculum guideline of the local board of education, and the school curriculum were analyzed. Based on this results, the directions for the technical high school curriculum reform were proposed as the followings. 1) The technical high school curriculum have to be forcused on the basic competency of entry level. 2) The department of environmental technology should be a standard department in the national curriculum. 3) The subjects for theory band practice have to be integrated as one. 4) The technical high school curriculum should be composed in directions to enlarge autonomy of the local board of education and schools. 5) Students` the right of choice have to be reinforced. 6) The supervised occupational experiences should be presented as a subject. 7) Based on the job analysis, the subject contents have to be selected. 8) The national technical qualification have to be given after the students master the technical course and the technical high school curriculum should be articulated to the post-secondary education. 9) The technical subjects and its contents have to be reduced. 10) The national curriculum should be presented easily and the curriculum guideline of the local board of education and the school curriculum supervised and to be planed and operated correctly.
