For the B2B e-Commerce, standardization of electronic catalog which contains product and business data is important. Among many components of e-Catalog contents, item codes are defined by classification structure of items. Because of differences among item codes used in different manufacturing companies, exchange of product data for the e-Commerce is difficult. This paper studies the classification system of data dictionary type of PLIB (ISO 13584) part 42 which can establish the standard of product data and experiments the method to develop the data dictionary of automotive parts.<br/>

To develop automobiles, engineers involved in a new car project team use various kinds of CAD systems according to specific requirements. For example, engineers in Hyundai Automotive are using Pro/Designer for the style design of a car, CATIA to design parts and assemblies, ANSYS for FEM analysis, and Pro/Engineer to design engines. Because they use different CAD systems, they have difficulty in cooperative design. Data, which contains errors, is transferred between CAD systems. It is difficult to find out such errors in a large CAD model. An evaluation method for CAD models has been developed. The developed diagnosis tool analyses a STEP or IGES file form a CAD system, and produces quantitative error report. It has been applied it to several actual car data.<br/> <br/>

ISO 15926 Process Plants is an international standard for the sharing of plant lifecycle data. Plant design data consist of logical configuration, equipment specifications, 2D P&IDs, and 3D shape data. Few studies on the ISO 15926-based 3D shape representation have been studied so far compared with logical configuration, equipment specifications, and 2D P&IDs. In this paper, we introduce a visualization approach of plant"s 3D shape data represented by ISO 15926 templates.
