P2Prefix : P2P 캐싱 기반의 효율적인 브로드캐스트 스트리밍 기법

일반적인 VOD 시스템은 서버-클라이언트 구조로 되어 있다. 따라서 다수의 클라이언트의 요청이 있을 경우 서버에 부하가 집중되어 서버 시스템의 네트워크 대역폭의 한계로 인해 QoS가 보장된 VOD 서비스가 어렵다. 특히 다수의 클라이언트 요청으로 인한 네트워크 대역폭 요구량의 증가는 서버 시스템 자원 소모의 결정적인 요인이다. 이러한 문제점들을 해결하기 위한 방법으로 멀티캐스트, 브로드캐스트, P2P 등 많은 기법들이 연구되었다. 그중 브로드캐스트 기법은 추가적인 대역폭의 할당 없이 다수의 사용자에게 스트림을 전송할 수 있으므로 효과적이다. 하지만 브로드캐스트 기법은 초기 서비스 지연시간이 길다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 브로드캐스트 기법의 문제점인 초기 서비스 지연시간을 P2P 기반의 캐싱 기법을 적용하여 제거하고, 이때 필요한 버퍼 공간을 최소화 할 수 있는 P2Prefix 브로드캐스트 기법을 제안한다. A typical VOD service allows that a number of remote clients playback a desired video from a large collection of videos stored in one or more video servers. The main bottleneck for a VOD service is the network bandwidth connecting to the VOD server to the client due to the high bandwidth requirements. Many previous researches have shown that VOD server can be greatly improved through the use of multicast, broadcast, or P2P scheme. Broadcast is one of the most efficient techniques because it can transmit a stream to many users without additional network bandwidth. But the broadcast has long latency time. In order to overcome the drawback, in this paper, we propose P2Prefix broadcast scheme that can solve the service latency time, which is the problem of broadcast scheme, by using P2P caching as well as minimizing the client buffer requirement.
도담탕(導痰湯)이 뇌손상(腦損傷) 및 고혈압(高血壓)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objective : This study was carried out to investigate the effects of DDT on the brain damage and hypertension. Methods : We observed the effect of Dodamtang(DDT) extract on KCN-induced coma, focal brain ischemia by MCA occlusion, cytotoxicity and protection of PC12 cells and B103 cells induced by amyloid ${\beta}$ protein(25-35). To prove the effect of DDT as a blood pressure depressant, we measured aldosterone, renin activity, catecholamine, sodium and NO density using the seperated blood plasma. Results : DDT showed a protective effect on cytotoxicity of PC12 cells and B103 cells induced by amyloid ${\beta}$ protein(25-35) in a dose dependent manner and proved the significant abridgement of brain ischemic area and edema induced by MCA occlusion, a critical decrease of neurologic deficitic grade in the fore-limbs. DDT didn't reduce the duration of KCN(1.87mg/kg iv.)-induced coma and prolonged the survival rate in the case of KCN(3.0mg/kg iv.)-induced coma by the ratio of 20%. While DDT increased the value of NO in SHR, it significantly decreased the blood pressure of SHR and the value of aldosterone& epinephrine in SHR. Conclusions : These results suggested that DDT might be usefully applied for treatment of hypertension, cerebral infarction, and brain damage.

To develop automobiles, engineers involved in a new car project team use various kinds of CAD systems according to specific requirements. For example, engineers in Hyundai Automotive are using Pro/Designer for the style design of a car, CATIA to design parts and assemblies, ANSYS for FEM analysis, and Pro/Engineer to design engines. Because they use different CAD systems, they have difficulty in cooperative design. Data, which contains errors, is transferred between CAD systems. It is difficult to find out such errors in a large CAD model. An evaluation method for CAD models has been developed. The developed diagnosis tool analyses a STEP or IGES file form a CAD system, and produces quantitative error report. It has been applied it to several actual car data.<br/> <br/>
