This study's purpose is to evaluate the seismic performance of Welded Unreinforced Flange-Welded Web connections with the column composed of high-performance steel. The study involved the inelastic cyclic loading test of 4 full-scale exterior connection specimens to evaluate the effect of column strength and beam depth. All specimens are designed as strong column-weak beam and strong panel zone. They are observed at the peak deformation of each cycles with the unaided eye. 3 of 4 specimens including 2 specimens consisted of high-performance steel column are achieved total story drift of 0.04 rad or more prior to failure. The test results showed that ductility capacity of connections with high-performance steel column is sufficient in light of current AISC seismic design. Energy dissipation in specimens consisting of high-performance steel column is less than those of normal strength steel column. Also, K120TG, which is the developed weld metal for 800MPa grade steel, is estimated as good material in case of welding between normal strength steel and high-performance steel through this study.

The transfer slab system is widely used in high apartment building and is a structural system that transfers the loads from the upper shear wall structure to the lower columns. This system has convenience in construction but is noneconomic system due to a very thick slab. The fault is overcame by voids in the slab. Because the structural performance is, however, decreased by the voids, the strength prediction of the void slabs is very important. However, the current code doesn't provide a clear calculation provision for the strength of void slabs. In this study, experimental study was conducted to investigate the flexural strength and the one-way shear strength of the void transfer slab. The flexural and the shear strength of the specimens was predicted by current code and prior researches. In result, the flexural strength of void slabs is accurately predicted by the equation of the current code, and the shear strength is accurately predicted by shear equation of the code considering slab effective section of 45 degree from a support.

I prescribed Bo-Hwa-So-Hab-Won for the 47 digestive organ disease patients who came to the Hospital of Oriental Medicine which is a affiliated to Won Kwang University from Jan. 7, 1984, to Mar. 28, and divided them into 3 syndromes according to their symptoms. The following results were obtained : 1. The syndrome that sustained a good condition of digestion and had a trouble of overdrinking and overeation was changed for the after 2 days of medication. 2. The syndrome that sustained not a good condition of digestion and had a trouble of overdrinking and overeating was expected the favorable turn of symptom of digestive organ lesion after 2 weeks of medication. 3. The syndrome that had a clinical history of disease of the stomach and intertines was expected the favorable turn of symptom of digestive organ lesion after the 3 weeks medical treatment at least, But could not expect the effect as to the postprandial ache.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the seismic performance of Ordinary Moment Resisting Concrete Frames(OMRCF) which is designed and detailed in compliance with ACI 318(1999). Based on the test results of 3-story OMRCF, this study adopts capacity spectrum method to evaluate the seismic performance of the frame. The capacity curve was obtained from the experimental results of the 3-story OMRCF and the demand curve was established using the earthquake ground motions recorded at various stations with different soil conditions. Evaluation results show that the 3-story OMRCF can resist seismic loads of all seismic zones, 1, 2A, 2B, 3, and 4 with soil type SA and SB. For soil type SC, the specimen is satisfactory in seismic zone 1, 2A, 2B, and 3. For soil type SD, the OMRCF was only valid for seismic zone 1 and 2A.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the system performance of the frames with Post-Northridge WUF-B connections. Three, nine, and twenty story frames used in SAC steel project were modeled. For this purpose, a nonlinear static pushover analysis and a nonlinear response history analysis were conducted. Maximum roof drift and story drift are estimated. Twenty ground motions were used for response history analysis which were scaled to match design response spectrum for 2% and 10% exceedence probability in 50 years. Analysis results for frames having Post-Northridge connections were compared with those of buildings having ductile connections without fractures.

The objective of this study is to propose a simple and accurate analytical model for HSS braces. For this purpose, a physical theory model is adopted. Rectangular hollow section steel (HSS) braces are considered in this study. To accurately simulate the cyclic behavior of braces using the physical theory model, empirical equations calculating constituent parameters are implemented on the analytical model, which were proposed in the companion paper. The constituent parameters are cyclic brace growth, cyclic buckling load, and the incidence of local buckling and fracture. The analytical model proposed in this study was verified by comparing actual and simulated cyclic curves of brace specimens. It is observed that the proposed model accurately simulates the cyclic behavior of the braces throughout whole response range.

The cyclic behavior of braces is complex due to their asymmetric properties in tension and compression. For accurately simulating the cyclic curves of braces, it is important to predict the major parameters such as cyclic brace growth, cyclic buckling load, incidence local buckling and fracture with good precision. For a given brace, the most accurate values of these parameters can be estimated throughout experiments. However, it is almost impossible to conduct experiments whenever an analytical model has to be established for many braces in building structures due to enormous cost and time. For avoid such difficulties, empirical equations for predicting constituent parameters are proposed from regression analyses based on test results of various braces. This study focuses on rectangular hollow structural section(HSS) steel braces, which have been popularly used in construction practice owing to its sectional efficiency.
