        다공성 물질이 충전된 정방형 밀폐용기 내에서 수용성 혼합용액의 동결거동에 관한 실험적 연구

        Freezing of the binary solution ($H_2O-NaCl$) saturating a packed bed of spheres is investigated experimentally. The system is cooled through its top surface, and the bottom is maintained at a temperature above the liquidus. Experiments are performed on the hypolutectic side, and the cold wall temperature is lower than the eutectic point. The effects of initial mixture concentration, superheat and glass bead diameter on temperature and concentration distributions are investigated. Supercooling was observed only at early times of the freezing process for experiments with 5% initial salt concentration. Flow visualization experiments and mushy-liquid interface position observations revealed natural convection in the liquid region. Remelting phenomena was not observed at both the solid-mushy and mushy-liquid interfaces.

        The objectives of model ship(1:100) test are aimed to ensure the reducing effects of exhaust gas return phenomena through the ship structure converting and the flow visualization test of exhaust gases emitted from the stack. The influences of variations of ship speed and wind velocity are evaluated in the wind tunnel test. Plume gas flow patterns were visualized and investigated by using a paraffin smoke generator and laser beam in the large wind tunnel test center.

      • 2유체 노즐을 이용한 물분무 특성에 관한 연구

        이 연구에서는 기존의 분진제거를 위한 살수방식에 2-유체노즐을 적용하기위하여 분산각과 공급되는 공기의 압력에 대한 유량 등의 분무특성을 고찰하였다. 영상처리기법에 의해 분산각을 위치별로 계측한 결과 하류로 갈수록 거의 직진성의 분사가 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. 또한 다수의 노즐을 중첩시켜 분사를 할 경우 노즐간의 최적의 간격 설정이 가능하였다. In this study, flat type twin-fluid nozzle has been used to investigate the effect of air pressure to the discharge flow rate, dispersion angle of liquid sheet and axial velocity. Velocity data was acquired by PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) and dispersion angle was measured overlapped images which were taken by laser-based sheet light projector and high speed camera as the results, optimal conditions of the water spray are established to promote the efficiency of multi nozzle system.

      • 디젤기관의 NOx 저감 방법에 관한 연구

        According to the NOx level requirement of annex Ⅵ to IMO(International Maritime Organization) MARPOL 73/78, this regulation shall apply to each diesel engine with a power output of more than 130 kW which is installed on a ship constructed and undergoes a major conversion on or after 1 January 2000. It is inevitable to adopt IMO standard for marine engines. Therefore, most of diesel engines which are being currently built should be tested and surveyed in accordance with the NOx technical code. In this paper, various technics of NOx reduction methods were investigated for the diesel engines and the methods of NOx measuring were introduced by the new and simplified field detecting equipment. These results can be utilized for the basic design and developement of diesel engine for NOx reduction.

      • 엔진과 터보차져의 매칭 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구

        In order to achieve good performance characteristics for a charged engine it is essential that turbocharger matching is to be carried carefully. Until now, we have depended on overseas maker and engine consulting co. for turbocharger application to our engine, so it is difficult to respond field needs quickly. To improve current situation, we have developed a turbocharger matching program on the base of energy balance equation of turbocharger. Calculation output data was compared to the raw data of engine test to evaluate the accuracy of the program. As the results, good correlations between calculation of program and experiment, was confirmed.

      • 음향광 쵸퍼를 이용한 프로펠러 후류의 고속 유동 가시화와 PIV 계측에 관한 연구

        The velocity field downstream of a model propeller operating in water measured using a two-dimensional Particle Image velocimetry. Instantaneous velocity distribution within the propeller wake region is acquired simultaneously by applying the 2-dimensional PIV system consisting of a pulse generator(AOM:Acousto-Optical Modulator), a continuous-output laser and a PC image grabber together with experimental apparatus to generate wake flow patterns. The basic mechanism of AOM and performance-related image processing techniques are discussed.
