지진 관측자료를 기반으로 한 한반도 지진 발생 확률 예측

2016년 9월 경주 지진 이후 원자력발전소, 고층 빌딩, 주택, 교량 등 우리 사회의 설비 자산들이 과연 지진으로부터 얼마나 안전한가, 앞으로 안정성을 담보하기 위해 어떤 정책을 펼쳐야 하는가에 대한 관심이 높아졌다. 본 논문에서는 한반도에서 발생한 역사지진 및 계기지진 목록을 데이터로 사용하여, 멱법칙 분포를 통해 한반도 지진 기록의 크기 분포를 설명하는 모수를 추정한다. 또한 추정한 모수를 바탕으로 미래에 한반도에서 일정 규모 이상의 지진이 발생할 확률을 계산한다. 한반도 미래 지진 발생 확률 계산 모형을 통해 지진 위험도를 파악하고자 하는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. Earthquake concerns have grown after a remarkable earthquake incident on September 12th, 2016 in Gyeongju, Korea. Earthquake forecasting is gaining in importance in order to guarantee infrastructure safety and develop protection policies. In this paper, we adopt a power-law distribution model to fit past earthquake occurrences in Korea with various historical and modern seismological records. We estimated power-law distribution parameters using empirical distributions and calculated the future probabilities for large earthquake events based on our model. We provide the probability that a future event has a larger magnitude than given levels, and the probability that a future event over certain levels will occur in a given period of time. This model contributes to the assessment of latent seismological risk in Korea by estimating future earthquake probabilities.

This study investigates how Chinese learners of Korean perceive and produce Korean lax, tense and aspirated consonants and how the perception and production are related. For this purpose an experiment was conducted in production and perception of Korean consonants with ten Chinese participants who were learning the Korean language for less than six months. According to the result, the Chinese participants had difficulties in perceiving Korean lax, aspirated, tense consonants in order and difficulties in producing Korean lax, tense and aspirated consonants in order. However, it is certain that there is correlation in perceiving and producing Korean tense consonants. In the experiment, most Chinese learners perceive Korean lax consonants as Korean aspirated consonants and produced them as Korean tense consonants. They mostly perceived Korean tense consonants as Korean lax consonants and produced them as Korean aspirated consonants. They perceived Korean aspirated consonants as Korean lax consonants and produce them as Korean lax consonants or as tense consonants.

대학생의 완벽주의적 자기제시와 전문적 도움추구태도의 관계: 정서표현 양가성의 매개효과

본 연구는 성인 초기 대학생을 대상으로 완벽주의적 자기제시와 전문적 도움추구태도의 관계를 정서표현 양가성이 매개하는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교내 학생생활상담소가 있는 대학에 재학 중인 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 완벽주의적 자기제시, 전문적 도움추구태도, 정서표현 양가성 척도를 사용하여 질문한 후, 최종적으로 294명의 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 완벽주의적 자기제시, 전문적 도움추구태도, 정서표현 양가성은 모두 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 완벽주의적 자기제시는 전문적 도움추구태도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 완벽주의적 자기제시와 전문적 도움추구태도의 관계를 정서표현 양가성이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 완벽주의적 자기제시와 전문적 도움추구태도의 관계에서 정서표현 양가성이 매개함을 밝힘으로써, 완벽주의적 자기제시 성향의 대학생들에 대한 정서표현 관련 상담 프로그램의 필요성을 제안하며, 완벽주의적 자기제시 경향으로 인해 심리적인 어려움을 겪고 있음에도 전문적인 상담기관을 방문하지 않는 내담자들을 이해하고 이에 개입하는 데 기초자료를 제공하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness on the relationship between Perfectionism Self-Presentation and Attitude Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help. The main result were as follows. First, Perfectionism Self-Presentation, Attitude Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help, Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness showed statistically significant correlations. Second, the meditating effect of Ambivalence over the Emotional Expressiveness was statically significant in the relationship between Perfectionistic Self-Presentation and Attitude Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help. Third, partial mediating effect of Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness was showed in the relationship between Perfectionistic Self-Presentation and Attitude Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help. This study provides the basic material of the route that reduces the Attitude Toward Seeking Professional Psychological Helps.

인공지능 기반 영어 수업이 한국인 중학생 영어학습자의 인공지능 리터러시와 인식에 미치는 영향 탐색

This research examines the impact of AI-based English education on the AI literacy and perceptions of Korean middle-school EFL learners. A cohort of 225 participants engaged in an eight-week English course utilizing generative AI tool, specifically, ChatGPT 3.5 and Reading Progress. AI literacy skills were assessed using pre- and post-surveys, revealing a significant increase (p < .001), particularly in ‘Understanding and Utilizing AI Principles’. Complementing the quantitative data, a qualitative thematic analysis provided insights into learners’ perceptions across educational, technological, and affective domains. The educational benefits of ChatGPT and Reading Progress, such as enhanced pronunciation and increased individual practice opportunities, were emphasized. The technological dimension was positively regarded due to its usability, although challenges in voice recognition and user interface discomfort were reported. From an affective perspective, students reported an increased sense of novelty and confidence, despite concerns regarding the necessity for continuous camera usage and a decrease in motivation for sustained use. This study offers pedagogical implications for effective English instruction using AI tools among adolescent English learners in Korea.
