The purpose of this study is to identify the staining factors through experiments with plastics vulnerable to pollution and to propose grounds of the staining prevention for application in the design stage. A total of 30 prototypes were built for plastic experiments, with eight thermoplastics and various sloped walls and azimuth angles. The results of the experimental survey by type, angle, azimuth in six phases over a year are as follows. The staining rate of plastic is proportional to the static amount and surface roughness, and the higher the staining rate, the more efficient the antistatic agent is. And the staining degree was high from the angle below the critical angle. In order to reduce the staining rate at critical angles, the results of the application of various antistatic agents showed that conductive inorganic materials were the most efficient. In addition, the staining rate for each azimuth was proportional to the wind speed, and the higher the staining rate, the higher the wind speed, the more efficient the antistatic agent was found. These results provide convincing evidence in choosing antistatic agents, and it is expected that the experimental data collected and the staining factors according to material, angle, and azimuth will be used as useful grounds to staining prevention in the initial design stage.
건축물 외관의 오염방지를 위한 계획적 방안 연구 - 서울시 구청을 대상으로 -

The purpose of this study is to propose the planning methods for pollution prevention in the initial design stage by identifying the pollution phenomena on the exterior of the building. It is important to catch the problem early on because exterior troubles begin with an initial design defect and causes rapid aging. The scope of this study is seoul public borough offices that should be sustainable for long as landmark located at the center of the district. Field survey was conducted three times in six months. Twenty-six borough offices were diagnosed with three levels of contamination through visual inspection and the contaminated locations, types, materials, and characteristics were checked. Fourteen common contaminated locations were identified in the first and intensively rechecked in the second. Five locations vulnerable to contamination were designated and the contamination and cleanliness situations were checked by location in the third. As a result, main polluted types and locations are sloping wall, upper wall, protruded wall, canopy, and wall under window. The key to avoiding these pollution problems is to minimize the horizontal plane on which dust can be deposited. In other words, it can be considered variously by shape and location, such as the slope of the horizontal plane, the floating of the surface, the installation of the roof surface, and the vertical louvers. And throating plans and material plans suitable for each location are presented. Various methods of the shape and location, material are expected to use as useful basic data for preventing pollutions during the initial design stage.

The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the transformation of kitchen space and how the importance of this space has been developed, which had been considered as a female-related space, through the analysis of area and integration degree. The selected research domain is focused on 3LDK floor plan layout with the floor area of 105 that is generally distributed in South Korea, and Space Syntax is utilized as a research methodology evaluating Convex Spaces in apartments. As a result of social advancement of women and changes in social awareness, the size of the floor area in living room has been increased. Also, the degree of integration in living room space has risen up than that of DK space since 2006. Therefore, it can be seen that DK space, a female housework space, is transforming into a communal space for family members.
유로 배치 변경을 통한 용융로용 금속재 냉각 블록의 열신뢰성 향상 방안 연구

본 연구에서는 용광로에서 용기 역할과 냉각 기능을 동시에 담당하는 금속재 수냉 블록의 필드고장품을 수집/분석하여 원인을 규명하고 이를 개선할 방안을 제시하였다. 주 고장 형태는 슬래그 코팅이 유지되지 못한 상황에서 발생되는 블록의 외형 손실과 슬래그 코팅이 유지되는 상태에서 발생되는 블록 표면 균열이었다. 로 운영 조건과 고품 분석 결과를 고려할 때, 고온과 큰 온도 편차가 주 고장가속 요인이었다. 수치 해석 기법으로 최고 온도, 온도 편차 및 응력 분포 측면에서 유로 배치 구조를 검토한 결과, 냉각 블록 중앙부 근처에 유로를 두는 것이 열-기계적 신뢰성 측면에서 가장 유리할 것으로 예측되었다. In this study, failures in furnace cooling block were analyzed to identify their major causes and suggest a plan to correct them. The main failure modes were block shape loss and block surface cracking. Considering the operating conditions and based on the results of the failure analysis, the failure was accelerated owing to high temperature and large temperature deviation resulting from poor cooling performance. To minimize the issues, the maximum temperature, temperature deviation, and stress distribution in the cooling block based on the flow path arrangement were investigated using a numerical analysis. As a result of the review, it was predicted that the arrangement of the flow path near the center of the cooling block would be most advantageous in terms of thermo-mechanical reliability.
