        래핑의 공정변수가 표면거칠기에 미치는 영향

        Lapping is a very complicated and random process resulting from the variation of abrasive grains in its sizes and shapes and from the numerous factors having an effect on the process quality. This paper presents a study of a 24 full factorial experimental design and analysis to optimize surface quality in lapping operation. The optimization of the factors to obtain minimum surface roughness was carried out by incorporating effect plots, main effect plots, interaction plots, analysis of variance(ANOVA), surface plots, and contour plots. The statistical design experiments, designed to reduce the total number of experiments required, indicated that, within the selected conditions, all the parameters influenced at a significance level of 5%. In addition, some of the possible interactions between these parameters also influenced the lapping process, especially those that were of third order. A regression model was suggested and fitted the experimental data very well.

        통기성필름의 투습도에 관한 실험적 연구

        Moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) is an important item for many applications of polymer breathable thin film. To determine the optimum values of the process parameters, it is essential to find their influence on The significance of six important process parameters namely, extruder cylinder temperature, extruder speed, extruder dies temperature, cooling roll temperature, stretching ratio, stretching roll temperature on breathable film strength of polymer extrusion was determined. Moreover, this paper presents the application of Taguchi method and analysis of variance(ANOVA) for maximization of the breathable film MVTR influenced by extrusion parameters . The optimum parameter combination of extrusion process was obtained by using the analysis of signal-to-noise ratio. The conclusion revealed that extruder speed and stretching ratio were the most influential factor on the film strength, respectively. The best results of film MVTR were obtained at higher extruder speed and stretching ratio.

        엔드밀가공에서 커터회전방향에 따른 절삭력의 최적화

        This paper outlines the Taguchi optimization methodology, which is applied to optimize cutting parameters in end milling when machining STS304 with TiAlN coated SKH59 tool under up and down end milling conditions. The end milling parameters evaluated are depth of cut, spindle speed and feed rate. An orthogonal array, signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio and analysis of variance (ANOVA) are employed to analyze the effect of these end milling parameters. The Taguchi design is an efficient and effective experimental method in which a response variable can be optimized, given various control and noise factors, using fewer resources than a factorial design. An orthogonal array of L9(33) was used. The most important input parameter for cutting force, however, is the feed rate, and depending on the cutter rotation direction. Finally, confirmation tests verified that the Taguchi design was successful in optimizing end milling parameters for cutting force.

      • 칩 브레이커 설계를 위한 실험적 연구

        This paper presents a study on various chip breaking mechanisms of chips in cutting with a chip breaker. One of the parameters that influence the productivity of metal cutting processes is chip forms produced such as continuous or broken chip. Chip form varies according to machining conditions, work material to be cut, chip breaker geometry. Therefore, in this study we carried out the experiment for the chip breaker design in machining SM45C using an attached step type one which is grounded. The larger the radius of chip flow circle, the thinner chip, the smaller is the force acting on a chip breaker due to chip curling. From these results, a very simple method for finding the optimum shape of chip breaker is established.

        리드프레임의 전단용 금형에 대한 3차원 FEM 해석

        The capabilities of finite elements codes allow now accurate simulations of blanking processes when appropriate materials modelling are used. Over the last decade, numerous numerical studies have focused on the influence of process parameters such as punch–die clearance, tools geometry and friction on blanking force and blank profile. In this study, three dimensional finite element analysis is carried out to design a lead frame blanking die using .LS-Dyna3D package. After design of the blanking die, an experiment is also carried out to investigate the characteristics of blanking for nickel alloy Alloy42, a kind of IC lead frame material. In order to investigate the influences of process parameters such as clearance and air cylinder pressure on the accuracy of sheared plane. Through the experiment results, it is shown that the quality of sheared plane is less affected by clearance and air cylinder pressure.

        드릴구멍 상사성이 칩형상에 미치는 영향

        In this study, geometrical similarity conditions for drills of various diameters are discussed. The effect of geometrical similarity on the chip shape and forces of different sized conventional drills has been experimentally continued. Drilling tests are carried out for SM45C by using the conventional HSS drills. The torque and thrust forces are measured and com-pared with those chip forms. Chip shape in drilling are affected by three factors being flow angle, side and up curl of the chip. It is found that the feedrate and drill diameter are more affected than cutting speed on the chip form and cutting forces. The similarity conditions gives easily to estimate the chip shape, the thrust and the torque for drills of different diameters.

      • 쾌속조형 CAD 시스템에서 STL 파일 변환 시간 비교

        The concept of rapid prototyping intended for a significant reduction in cost and lead time becomes even more practical with recent development of various equipment to make the concept concrete. For the purpose of real application of commercially available SLA(streolithography apparatus), this paper is proposed to develop the reduction of STL file translation time with different model and CAD systems. To improve this situation, two versions of an STL formats are also applied for the proposed model. The basic concept of this paper can be applied to any other CAD systems and machines of using streolithography process. The variables presented in this paper is classified into chord height, angle and deviation for the present model. The result shows that STL file translation time is increased with complexity and magnitude of the proposed model geomtry.

      • 다구찌 기법에 의한 STS304의 드릴가공 특성에 관한 연구

        This paper has studied to obtain the drilling characteristics and optimal cutting conditions of STS304 in the drilling by Taguchi method. We have taken Taguchi's parameter design approach, specially orthogonal array and determined the optimal levels of the selected variables through analysis of the experiment results using SN ratios. The present study, we carried out the cutting performance to optimize cutting forces, surface roughness, chip shape based on cutting condition such as spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut. The most effective factors for cutting forces, chip shape were the depth of cut. The most effective factors for surface roughness were the feed rate. This paper also discussed the optimized cutting conditions related with as spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut through predicted SN ratios. From the experimental verification tests, it was observed that this approach was useful as a robust design methodology the drilling operation.
