Single Phase Matrix Converter with Novel Commutation Strategy

In this paper, a single phase matrix converter circuit with novel commutation technique is proposed. With commercial IGBT modules, the proposed converter is quite compact in structure and easy to build. The applied commutation strategy introduces a simple RC circuit as commutation aid without need for sensing information, leading to stable and reliable operation. The modulation method is explained; the detailed commutation procedure is illustrated. Finally, the simulation results show the validity and verification of the proposed single phase matrix converter.
대용량 하이브리드 멀티레벨 PWM 정류기의 제어특성 해석

This paper presents anlysis of control characteristics of high power hybrid multilevel PWM rectifier without bulky and heavy isolation transformers. It will be shown that the DC voltages for multilevel output generation may be directly built up from AC utility source. The multilevel PWM rectifier is analyzed by using the circuit DQ transformation whereby the static and dynamic characteristics and some useful design equations are obtained. Finally, to confirm the validity of the analysis, MA TLAB simulations are carried out.

본 논문에서는 Custom Power의 전력품질 향상을 위한 3상 4선식 매트릭스 컨버터에 대하여 다룬다. 3상 4선식 매트릭스 컨버터는 출력전압의 각 상의 크기, 주파수, 위상을 별도로 제어할 수 있으며 이러한 특성을 이용하여 입력 3상 전원의 크기와 위상, 주파수가 변하는 경우 이를 보상한 대칭 3상의 출력 전압을 부하에 공급할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통하여 이러한 3상 4선 매트릭스 컨버터의 동작을 입증하였다.
A New Commutation Circuit for PWM Cuk AC-AC Converter

This paper proposes a snubber circuit for a PWM AC-AC Cuk converter. The proposed snubber applies a modified Undeland snubber as a commutation aid. The snubber circuit has some good features such as reduction of voltage/current stress of the main switches, improved efficiency. The experiment results show the adaptability and feasibility of the proposed snubber circuit.
