신안선 유물 출수 위치의 고고학적 검토 : 신안선 선체·고려·일본계 유물을 중심으로

신안선이 발굴된 지 40년이 넘었음에도 불구하고 신안선 출수 유물과 출수 위치가 고고학적으로 검토된 적은 없다. 본고에서는 발굴일지와 유물의 잔존 양상과 퇴적 과정을 검토하고, 유물의 출수위치를 평면적 관점에서 확인하는 등 고고학적 검토를 실시하였다. 첫 번째로 발굴일지를 획인한 결과 신안선에서는 화물과 생활, 항해 유물이 뒤섞인 상태로 출수되며, 기록상으로는 층위를 분석하는 것이 큰 의미가 없다는 점을 확인하였다. 두 번째로 신안선 선체의 잔존양상과 유물 분포를 통해 우현뿐만 아니라 선수 쪽으로도 기운 상태로 매몰되었다는 것과 선수로 기운 상황에서도 이 구역에서 대량의 유물이 발견된다는 것은 당시의 선박 관련 회화 자료와 비교·검토해 볼 때 선미에 별도로 높게, 뒤쪽으로 확장하여 선실이 있었을 가능성을 확인하였다. 세 번째로 고려·가마쿠라계 유물의 출수 지점을 검토한 결과 고려인과 가마쿠라, 일부 元人들은 선미 쪽에 마련된 객실을 사용하였던 것으로 보인다. 이는 고려인이 선원이 아닌 船客이었다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 따라서 고려인은 교통수단으로 신안선을 사용했던 것으로 보인다. Although more than 40 years passed since Shianan shipwreck was excavated, the distribution of archaeological antiquity has not been reviewed systematically. This study provides an archaeological investigation by examining the excavation logs, the pattern of remaining artifacts and sedimentation, and identifying the two-dimensional distribution pattern of the recovered artifacts. First, the examination of the excavation logs shows that cargo and living artifacts, and navigational artifacts were recovered in a mixed state. Analyzing the stratigaphy does not hold a major importance. Second, the sedimentation process of antiquities through the remain of Shinan shipwreck s hull and distribution of antiquities shows the process of sinking. Comparing the artifacts with the historical artwork strongly suggests there were separate sections of cabin rooms for passengers. Third, an investigation of the recovery locations for artifacts from Goryeo and from Kamakura, Japan, indicates that passengers used rearward cabins, suggesting that Goryeo people were passengers rather than crew. It seems that Goryeo people used Shinan ship as means of transportation.
