The fault current of the power transmission system is greater than that of the power distribution system. Therefore, the introduction of superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is more needed to reduce the increased fault current. The trigger-type SFCL consists of the high-temperature superconducting element (HTSC), the current limiting reactor (CLR) and the circuit breaker (CB). The trigger-type SFCL can be used to supplement the disadvantages of the resistive-type SFCL. The operation characteristics of the current ratio differential relay which is usually applied to the protection device of the power transmission system are expected to be affected under fault conditions and the applicability of the trigger-type SFCL. In this paper, we analyzed the operating characteristics, by the fault conditions, between the current ratio differential relay for line protection and the trigger-type SFCL in the power transmission system through the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation.
피크전류 제한 기능을 갖는 초전도 한류기 도입에 따른 보호기기의 동작특성

In the existing power distribution system, a resistive type SFCL was great burden from fault current and was required higher cooling cost. The suggested SFCL with a peak current limiting function, on the other hand, can overcome the shortcomings of the resistive type SFCL. In this paper, the characteristic of the protection devices due to the introduction of superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) with a peak current limiting function was analyzed through the PSCAD/EMTDC modeling.
전력계통내 사고방지용 변압기형 초전도 한류가의 중성선에 따른 ?치특성 분석

초전도 한류기의 용량증대를 위해서는 초전도 소자의 직 · 병렬 연결이 필요하다. 저항형 초전도 한류기는 초전도 소자의 불균형 ?치로 인해 초전도 소자의 전력분담이 불안정하다. 변압기형 초전도 한류기는 2차측 코일과 초전도 소자 2개를 중성선을 이용하여 직 · 병렬로 연결하였다. 중선선 연결을 통해 사고전류에 따른 초전도 소자의 ?치 특성이 개선되었다. 초전도 소자의 동시 ?치는 전력 부담을 각 소자에 동일하게 부담시킴으로서 한 소자에 편중되는 것을 방지한다. 또한 전압분배도 동일하게 할 수 있게 된다. 결론적으로 변압기형 초전도 한류기의 용량증대를 위해서는 2차측 코일과 초전도 소자 사이에 중선선 연결을 함으로써 그 답을 얻을 수 있다.
피부종양수술 후 결손부위 복원에 피부 테이프를 이용한 Sutureless Burow`s Graft

Background: There are various methods of reconstruction of cutaneous surgical defect after removal of skin tumor, and skin graft is frequently used. Classically, in full-thickness skin graft (FTSG), nylon basting sutures with a tie-over bolster dressing are used in securing skin graft to the recipient wound bed, but this method is complicated, time-consuming, and may cause complications. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of an adhesive skin tape (Steri-strip(R)) for securing a graft without suture when performing a Burow`s skin graft, one of the types of FTSG. Methods: We conducted a case-controlled retrospective study. A total of 45 patients (total 46 cases) treated with Burow`s skin graft after removal of skin tumor between May 2006 and August 2010 were enrolled in this study, and grafts were secured with Steri-strip(R) (case, n=26) or conventional tie-over bolster dressings (control, n=20). The cosmetic results were scored at 1, 3, and 6 months after the operation. Also, the size and depth of the defect were measured and the run-time of the operation for the skin graft was checked. Results: The operation time for the Steri-strip(R) group was significantly less than for the conventional tie-over bolster dressing group (p<0.001). No significant differences were observed between the groups with regards to age, sex, location, size, depth of the defect, prevalence of complications, and scored cosmetic results at 6 months after operation (p>0.05). Conclusion: Sutureless Burow`s graft with skin tape required less time than the conventional method with a similar cosmetic result. Thus we suggest that sutureless Burow`s graft with skin tape may be an easy and useful method to reconstruct the defect after skin surgery. (Korean J Dermatol 2012;50(1):25∼33)
