A run flat tire(RFT) is designed and developed to lead the vehicle is continually driven for certain periods of speed and time without inflated air. Recently various technologies of self supporting type of a run flat tire are actively researched and accomplished as increasing the consumer demand. Especially it is important to the performance of sidewall area including insert rubber and body ply depend on driving speed and load at the puncture mode. So, Influence evaluation is executed and analyzed during the different speed and load using the indoor high speed test machine and the thermal infrared camera(FLIR, SC640). And characteristic of each mode is analyzed on harsh condition until failure. Also, Durability variation of run flat tires is analyzed by different design of carcass cords.

It was analyzed the relationship between the bead profile and tire performance using passenger and light truck tires. At this time, test tires have the same size and load index by manufactured in the ten tire brand. And it was measuring the contact pressure of bead section under the different inflation pressure conditions. Also, spring rate test was proceeded to get the spring constant of test tires. As a result, rim flange and bead hill are proportional to the inflation pressure. But bead seat is not influenced by inflation pressure. In case of passenger, lateral and longitudinal spring constant are influenced by the contact pressure of bead section. But in case of light truck, these are not influenced by the contact pressure of bead section.

To Analyze the Performance of Indoor High Speed from the Tire Construction viewpoint, Test Tire was manufactured that had been changed of Steel Belt Width, Steel Belt Gauge and Carcass Cord Turn Height. And Influence Evaluation was executed and recorded for failure analysis of Initial Separation Point and Propagation using a High Speed Test Machine and a Camcorder. Also, It was statistically studied each of Tire Construction Factors. Through this test, Running Time is proportional to these factors and especially the most influenced Steel Belt Width.

Nowadays, Various Studies of Failure Tire Analysis and Test Method are being done. In this paper, According to Durability Test Conditions, Several Failure Modes of each tire section were induced, and Failure Mechanisms were analyzed using an Indoor Test Machine. Also, Test Tires that are inserted Foreign Materials was manufactured and analyzed using a Nondestructive Test Machine. Through this test, Propagation Analysis of Tire Separation should be applied that was caused by Environmental Contributions.

It was measured a lateral force of passenger tire according to camber angle, slip angle and speed variation using indoor treadwear test machine. After that it was analyzed a characteristic of treadwear by lateral force variation. As a result, a lateral force of normal condition is lower than it of severe conditions. And a wear rate of normal condition is higher than it of severe conditions. A direction of uneven wear after finishing an outdoor wear test is similar to direction of lateral force after measuring an indoor wear test. If it is profoundly analyzed a relationship between lateral force and uneven wear, It will be efficiently applied a research of tire design and influence factor affecting treadwear.
