Photoelasticity is widely and conveniently used for whole field stress analysis. In this paper, 8-step photoelastic phase shifting method was performed by using a multi-purpose polariscope to measure the fringe orders along a specified line on the specimen containing a square hole. The material of the specimen is made of Polycarbonate. The measurement results by 8-step phase shifting method were comparable to those calculated by ABAQUS.

반도체 제조용 웨이퍼의 온도를 측정하고 제어하는 기술의 진보로 열처리 장비 시장에서 점점 더 각광을 받고 있는 급속 열처리(rapid thermal process: RTP) 장치의 최근 기술 동향을 전반적으로 조사 분석하였다. RTP의 장점, 온도 제어 모델링 기술(model-based control), 최근에 개발된 여러 종류의 RTP 시스템 설계 및 이들 각각의 기술적인 문제들이 기술된다. 새롭게 개발된 단일 wafer furnace와 광자 효과를 이용한 rapid photothermal process (RPP)에 관해서도 기술하였다. 아울러 최근 열처리 장비 업체들의 현황과 열처리 장비 시장의 향후 전망에 관해서도 검토하였다.

J. Hillis Miller has decisively shaped the landscape of modern American literary criticism. His career reflects the major stances of it for the past forty years. His concern with the relationship between an imagining mind and its objects is his basic presupposition in Charles Dickins (1959) . This concern with the exploration of the author's cogito soon establishes Miller's role as the foremost American critics of consciousness. Hillis Miller's next two books, The Disappearance of God (1963) and Poets of Reality (1965) represent both a refinement and a substantial expansion of the phenomenological approach professed in Charles Dickens. In 1969 Miller published a small volume entitled The Form of Victorian Fiction, in which he explores the role and function of time as a fundamental dimension of fiction and notable the relation between language and reality. His fourth book, Thomas Hardy: Distance and Desire (1970), is not only an outstanding Piece of Hardy criticism but follows up Miller's gradual transition from Phenomenology to post-structuralism. Form and Repetition (1982) demonstrates Miller's unique deconstructive criticism. Despite the battle-cries of his adversaries, miller’s criticism does not bring about the end of humanism nor the subversion or loss of literary and metaphysical value. It is true that in his post-1970 work he systematically disrupts unquestioned acceptance of what have long been believed to be stable entities, the meaning or extent of a given text, the self of an author. But he is a moderate deconstructionist. His criticism subltly emphasizes the fundamental deconstructive tenet that the traditional or metaphysical elements are coexistent or rather inextricably intertwined with the concepts denying their very rasion detre. So claims that his criticism advocates the unsustainablity of reproducible statements are untenable. One of Millers strongest motivations in Form and Repetition is to devise a way to remain aware of the strangeness of the language and to try to account for it.
